I’ve stayed at the property before when it was under different ownership. Strata is a huge improvement over its predecessors. The hotel is quite nice overall. The room was very nice, comfortable, clean, with hardwood flooring, the bathroom was nice, as were the furnishings. The lobby was also nicely appointed and comfortable.

Some of the basic building facilities need some attention. The elevator was not clean, the entrance door would be better if it was an airlock system with automatic doors rather than a manual operated door (much more convenient when someone is dragging luggage behind them). Some food options would be nice besides breakfast. There are two restaurants next door, but no pedestrian path to get there except the sidewalk, which was covered in snow and ice.

The hotel is very clean, has a pleasant decor and the rooms are far better than in some very well known 4 star hotels. Things that are important were great..Beds are comfortable, bath is well equipped and clean, the AC unit is quiet. There is a great coffee machine, small fridge and microwave provided. My favourite touch is a dimmed down bath mirror with a defogger. But most of all the staff is that makes the difference. Especially the receptionists that double as bar staff.

Nothing to complain about

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The location is also good there is a Pizza Hut right beside the hotel. They also have covered parking. They have Google Chrome so you can connect your mobile devices (don't forget to reset the chrome stick though)

The pillows could be more firm. They don't clean the room if you don't specifically request it. You have to pay for breakfast. Also, they should have an access option (using the room key) from the other side of the hotel. The elevator/ stairs are on one side of the hotel. So you have to walk all the way to go in and out of the hotel.

The front desk clerk was super friendly. The lobby is really warm and inviting to sit down. The room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was renovated and well designed. Loved the LED mirror and anti fog feature. Location was good, close to grocery stores, drug store. I appreciate the microwave to warm my dinner leftovers. Also underground parking for those hot summer days, helped my car stay cooler.

Although the matress was comfy, the bed was creaking everytime we moved throughout the night. It woke my husband up when I turned in my sleep.

We were greeted by very friendly staff. Check-in was quick & easy. Décor was current and pleasing. We were pleasantly surprised that we arrived on an evening when the hotel sales manager had arranged a cocktail party in the lobby. It was great to have a free drink & snacks upon check-in. If this were a regular feature, we'd easily recommend to friends looking for accommodations in Kingston.

Walls were thin- we could hear the couple in the room next door. The building that the hotel is part of is quite shabby (closed storefronts, broken pavement). Neighborhood is probably not the best.

The room had a great view of the city The room was spacious and there were different types of pillows on the bed so we each could find one we liked We also enjoyed the fire table on the front area of the hotel ….it was a perfect to enjoy a summer evening that gave us some warmth to stay out longer …nice touch

I was not thrilled with the ice machine ….I question how sanitary it is if everyone reaches in to get their ice ….at least have a scoop available so ice you are not taking us not touched

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and good facilities. Parking was excellent with an underground lot with direct access to the elevator.

The room servicing, cleaning, linen change etc was by request. We only had it done once in 12 nights but it was skimped. The bedlinen was only changed because we requested it, the bathroom was not cleaned and the waste bins were not emptied.

The hotel was very clean with modern design and sleek. It was very well attractive. The staff were excellent very thoughtful and kind. They were helpful willing with all of our questions and our needs.

Some of the room electrical appliances, such as mini lights, were not connected. There several wires and we didn’t know how they connected. However, we had very little to be concerned about.

This was a nice clean hotel that was just off the highway and a short drive to the waterfront area. There were also plenty of nearby shopping and restaurants. The front desk staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

The towels were tired and not very soft. Time for some new fluffy and soft ones.

Very clean room with an updated bathroom which was wonderful (ie 2 sinks). Grab and Go breakfast (due to covid) was fine. Desk staff very accommodating. Fridge and microwave were very handy. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a Food Basics next door. Very close to the 401.

The hotel was under construction and as a result the lobby was in bad shape. There was no ice machine I assume due to the construction. You could purchase ice at the grocery store next door. The alarm clock in the room did not work nor did the reading lights over the bed. Booking.com should have mentioned the hotel was under construction.
