Excellent location, excellent food
That we had a room which was not in the main Hotel but along the road by separate entrance, at the end of separate buildings with window facing car park. We were never told this on booking and would not have booked otherwise as it was inconvenient to have to walk outside along the road to the Hotel. We therefore did not use the Hotel to full advantage. Also felt the room was very dusty in areas.

Prime location for any and all Niagara on the Lake activities. Everything we did was walkable from the hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The bed and linens were super cozy, and we loved the fireplace!
Sadly, given the price we paid for the suite, I expected our room to be pristine. There were some cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings and floors behind the furniture. The bathroom, while it’s jacuzzi tub was lovely, could’ve used a new toilet seat as it was well worn and discolored, the tiles in the shower were not very clean, and the larger rain shower head had many missing nozzles.

Best feature was the location. Just as we expected
Room size was a bit on the smallish size. Bath was roomy with both a shower and tub. A shower is normally suffice and bath counter size was compromised to provide both. Perhaps you should off a choice in future remodling efforts so a greater grooming area and counter space can be provided. We also did not like the high price of some of the restaurant items and especially the afternoon tea. My wife cannot not eat sweets so there was no value in her attending. How about offering a lower priced option without the sweets. Perhaps just the sandwiches and/ or scones, etc.

We only stayed one night, we would of stayed two but we didn't have the time. We loved the location! My husband had foot surgery 9 months ago and can not do alot of walking, so location was a priority. We were close to everything, including dinner at The Irish Harp. The bathroom and room was very clean. A rose on my pillow and the oranges was a nice touch. The pool and hot tub was also clean and wonderful. It was a nice little getaway. Will definitely be back.
Things that need attention: the room had a musty smell to it. When we went out and did some shopping and site seeing I stopped and got a candle to burn and that helped. Maybe new carpeting would solve the problem. My husband and I sat on the end of the bed and the head of the mattress lifted right off the box spring. The comfort of the bed was not good, to the point that my back has been tender since our stay. We went down to the pool in the evening and there were no towels left. The sauna was closed, I assume because of COVID. We could not find the location of the ice machine. We had to ask.

Old-world elegance and charm like in this hotel are so rare. This hotel is truly unique (at least within Canada) and I hope the owners continue to invest in its upkeep rather than modernizing. Staff were excellent; the facilities, including the restaurant, gym, pool, and bar (which I've all visited) exceeded my expectations.
My stay was lovely. There are a few minor things in disrepair I would love to see fixed for this property to continue to thrive (cracked tiles above the pool, carpet stains throughout the hotel etc). My one actual request is to invest in better beds. My mattress was lumpy and I tossed for a bit of the night because of it (room 217).

Absolutely stunning property with beautiful architectural details. We requested the blue suite through booking, and was very happy with our selection! The draperies, canopy, stained glass lightning was very romantic. Most of all, everything felt clean and dust-free. Probably the only hotel that I've ever stayed with regularly washed covers and curtains. The bathroom is spacious, the tub had good pressure, and the location made everything within walkable distance.
The hotel is beautiful, but it's missing the small touches that make a luxury hotel, luxurious. The free fruit was stale, which is a pity since Niagara is famous for its fruit and wine. The shower hasn't been updated, and only has hot water. The HVAC rattled constantly during our entire stay. Also there didn't seem to be enough staff at hand during busy reception hours, something like adding ropes or queue numbers will help the rush of people clustering during morning check-out and afternoon check-in.

Prince of Wales Hotel is a beautiful hotel. It's in prime location with plenty of parking in the back. Old world charm. We ended up with a 2 room suite, which was a pleasant surprise.
Booking anything off the web and keeping the price in check is nearly impossible. Our planned stay was wonderful, but I do feel I was cheated. Ex. One price on this site was $369/ night, and side by side on the same site $269/ night. At the end of the stay for 2 nights, room only, bill was $1264. US.

Great location. A lot of history. Attentive and helpful staff.
A bit too dark in places. (Hallways) Breakup of hotel in separate buildings is confusing. If you are not in the main building, need to do a lot of getting around outside and if weather is inclement, not pleasant and inconvenient. Perhaps indicate on website where choice of room is located so no surprises. Too many areas with stairs. Need more rooms with standup showers. Find ways to provide some modern conveniences (like more electrical plugs for devices) and also keep the historic aspect and nature of the hotel.

When we arrived at the hotel the first thing we noticed was the beautiful flowers and landscaping. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a suite from our original reservation. Upon entering our room, we were thrilled to see the size of the room along with the period of decor that I would expect from such an historic hotel. When we checked in the front desk agent, Natalie I believe, gave us several recommendations for dinner, which we greatly appreciated. The location of the hotel is so near all of the businesses and restaurants that it is not necessary to even move the car. On our last night, when we came back from dinner, I was very surprised to find a red rose on my pillow!
Honestly, the only thing that i didn't like (and this is such a personal preference) is that I like a better choice in pillows. I found they were all too high for my liking. It would be nice to have some that were rather flat.

the room was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. it’s very close to everything, you can walk to most things in NOTL from the hotel
it’s a bit challenging to navigate until you figure out how it’s laid out. we were told there were instructions on how to get to our room posted, but it’s just small plaques indicating pointing to room numbers and is quite easy to miss. we wandered around for a while and had to ask staff how to get to our room. only minor complaint though, once we figured it out it was fine.
