The breakfast was good; enough choices. The best part was the location which is excellent to all the shops and the main shopping strip. The room was big and was very clean.

Would have been nice if we were able for a late check out; but unfortunately we had to buy an extra half day for a 6pm check out. Note: the hotel is very picky with the time - we arrived at the check out counter at 6:05pm but was further delayed by other guests in front of us. So when our turn came, we were told that we have gone past the 6:00pm check out and wanted to charge us for a full day! That departing gesture was the worst of our stay there. Luckily after some heated argument, the hotel decided to charge us just for the half day. Imagine that! 10 mins late!

Staff, Location, value.

Make sure not to take any taxi that hotel staff arranged for you. Also don't take any taxi that are waiting at the doorway of the hotel. Imagine that you are at one of the busiest location of Shanghai and you step outside and jackpot taxi is available right outside. This is a trap. I am not sure if they are working with the bellboys but believe me I experienced it many times and the meter on the taxi is set up to double or even some triple the cost. Facilities are getting a little old.

Dear Sir/Madam, Upon arrival at the hotel, I was charged CNY 6,825.00 from my bank card. On leaving the hotel, I was issued Invoice number 434151561989 with the amount of CNY 4345.00 as agreed upon when booking through Boocing. Please return the overcharged CNY 2,500.00 to my bank account. Greetings

Excellent location. Two subways are also very close. The airport and the railway station are also easily accessible by metro. The King Deluxe room is very nice, big and clean. The view is magnificent.

The breakfast is average. There is little fruit. After nine o'clock they do not refill the empty containers. We had to speak several times because of the tea.

Beautiful luxury hotel I love the room very big and super clean with a lot of nice details. The view of the room amazing. The breakfast delicious and a lot of variety. The location spectacular!

Bad customer service They need to improve this because the people in front desk, the restaurant everything was not kind at all. This is the only thing that I don’t like about the hotel.

The location is just great! Our room was very comfortable, with a good view also. There is also a Michelin restaurant in the hotel with good suggestions for lunch and dinner.

The breakfast was not as good as one can expect in a place with a Michelin restaurant. The yogurts were only sweet, no natural ones. A very limited number of pastries. No prepared and cut fruits, and no nuts. The coffee machine was also obsolete. We had better breakfasts in 6 other hotels, where we were staying during our trip.

It’s a nice hotel, good location good facilities. The theaters, restaurants and the main streets are pretty walkable.

I don’t like the receptionist who helped me checked-in, seemingly she would be nicer to non-Chinese guests. She was very impatient to my questions while the other receptionist gave very detailed instructions to a Taiwanese(could be Singaporean) guest. I didn’t feel respected since I’m Chinese and I wasn’t treated as what I expected. The other thing I wanna mention is the shower didn’t have constant hot water.

Like most places it is the little things and the people that make it amazing. The room was incredible, spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, I don't eat a lot for breakfast so for me personally the value for money was questionable. The location is great, taking the subway/train (travelling PVR start with Line 2 as the first part of your destination) is easy and most cost effective but timely (taxi is no different time wise but a lot more expensive).

There is not much to dislike, I suppose for me it was that I had to pay for things I didn't need/want (such as a breakfast) to get a room with a king bed. I guess the other challenge (and really not an issue for the hotel) is that I could not use my CC to take a taxi to the airport and had to go get cash, and the cost was not as quoted, so be mindful.

Breakfast spread has qte a few selections, although some food alrdy turned cold when we went around 8.30 am... Not many choices of fresh fruits. 2 types of fresh fruits daily n the hotel alternate the fruits the next day.

I didn't like the description abt the room that I ve booked thru Booking.com, Superior Twin Room. It says this room has a special feature with a hot tub included in the room. Which was my main reason why I booked this hotel. But unfortunately when I checked in, there wasn't any " hot tub " feature in this room. Asked the hotel staff and no one knew about this description on the website. But anyhow, the hotel is nice n comfortable.

This is a beautiful luxe 4-star hotel I have dreamed of staying in for years, and with the US Dollar value at 7 to 1, a rare high value for us, it was only $93 a night! The service is great, the place is palatial with lovely deep posh wooden hallways, the room ample with all curving windows overlooking the city and I got the high floor I requested long ago. The location is amazing, right at the top end of the famous shopping street Nanjing East Road. It's about 10 block walk to the Bund or waterfront, called WaiTan in Chinese ("Why Tang"). It is also one block from the gorgeous Shanghai Book City (Xinhua Book Store) which has Western cafes if you want your eggs or waffles. Check out the Roosevelt Sky Bar, 27 Zhongshan Rd (waterfront), which opens at 2 pm for a city view, and don't miss the nightly light show on the waterfront. Amazing. The bed and pillows were OUT OF THIS WORLD comfortable. I never wanted to go home!

The only drawback was that due to the walls being entirely windows, in winter the heater at its max was a bit cool inside. We opened the windows during the day, which is a mistake if the night will be cold because you do not retain all that heat.
