Fantastic hotel. The rooms are so well designed (good wardrobe space) and well equipped with all the little extras you could want (moisturizers etc). Its very thoughtfully done. The rooms and interesting (decor) and we had a great view of the bund. They very kindly let us check in early. The view from the hotel bar is second to none! the swimming pool and gym are also good. The breakfast has a great selection and changes daily so you dont get bored. The include barrista coffee at no extra charge which is great as it annoys me when hotels dont include it in the breakfast! Worth paying extra for as its a bit of a walk to any other food outlets.

Right on the end of the Bund so a bit of a walk. Great view from our room looking at all the barges but obviously not all rooms have a river view. 20th corner room was fabulous! Average breakfast, hubby loved the Asian breakfast but I found the cooked breakfast especially the omelet to be inconsistent every day, ingredients seemed to be lost in translation, some days my omelet was just egg either no ingredients. Enjoyed the link grateful juice! Bathroom facilities were fabulous. Our room was a good size. Enjoyed the chairs overlooking the river. Fridge was nice. Tea, coffee facilities in room. We enjoyed our stay but don’t think we would stay here again. Had a few issues with front of staff! I’d stay closer to Center next time!!

Distance from the centre, it’s a big walk!

1) Unpleasant experience with staff at rooftop bar. Due to flight scheduled at night, we had many hours to kill after checkout. Reception was very nice and offered us to wait at rooftop bar. As we were entering, we were very rudely stopped by a male bar manager claiming we don’t have room card and treated us like we trying to give him excuses to get a free pass in. Eventually sorted out with reception. Unacceptable customer service and no apology whatsoever! 2) Very average buffet breakfast. Restaurant staff unattentive and constantly playing with their mobile phones.

We had a deluxe river view king room on a High floor over looking the bustling Bund area. Just a short walk to the Oriental Pearl and all the sites and the night lights from the skyscrapers. The People’s monument was a 15 minute walk away. Ther room was so large with a self flushing heated seat toilet, lovely slippers and robes and toiletries and complimentary water for the hot climate outside. Taxi’s are electric and can be booked by the multi lingual reception staff who go out of the way to please and help with any questions. The staff helped us get into our room early as we arrived from the UK on an over night flight. The bed was divine so comfortable and showering overlooking the river was another highlight. There was a rooftop bar and it was easy to walk over to the Yuen garden area for street food or use the restaurants in the BFC area opposite. With the help of the reception staff booking taxis in Sanskrit helping us with set up Alipay we managed to negotiate our way round Shanghai easily. English was used by all the tourist sector workers and young people so we felt really safe and assured. The experience of being in Shanghai and staying here was a blessing. We couldn’t have chosen better for our needs than this.

The room was very spacious and well-designed with super views. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. The hotel staff were welcoming, however, there were not enough English-speaking staff. On the first night, our air conditioner was leaking and when we reported it the situation was quickly rectified and we were re-located to a corner room with better views. I also love how the room service was delivered in baskets (nice touch).

The air conditioner was very noisy and in our first room the airconditioner did leak, however, the staff responded to this and our room was changed quickly. Not enough English-speaking staff were available and the language was an issue.

- Luxurious entry, help with the luggage. - We had beautiful river view of Shanghai Tower & co that we couldn’t get enough from. - The room was beautiful and we had our own walk-in closet. - We loved the spacious bathroom with own TV and the different shower rain modes - At the entrance there was room for cars to drop off and pick-up, perfect as taxi spot. - Great, friendly day staff where we could communicate with and fast service. - Great location

- We found some trash behind the curtains fro the previous guest. - TV in the bathroom didn’t work - The bathtub switch tap was stuck so we couldn’t use the shower hand thing and also, filling up the bathtub took a while. - Night staff couldn’t speak well english - There were small things in the room that needed fixings like: water damage on the wooden counter of the bathroom, automated toilet doesn’t close or open the lid (its gets stuck), old broken makeup table area closed off by big glass dining table with chairs, bed light with broken off cord (pull to turn the lights on), All these smalls things gave me a feeling that the room was getting outdated. But great experience overall!

The river view is one of the most impresive we ever had. The hotel exceeded our expectations.

Not perfect for the metro lines connections. The breakfast need to be more diverse to let me give a 10 mark for the hotel

Staff were really helpful and friendly, all staff from front desk to housekeeping and bar staff was patient and helpful throughout our stay, especially Lyna who was very accommodating and thoughtful. Location is conviently located towards the end of the bund which made for a lovely walk in the evening. Great views from the room and facilities across the hotel, the bar has great vibes and not crowded at all on a Saturday night which I personally loved. Also really appreciated the decor which was beautifully curated and a lovely change from the common mainstream hotel decor popular in recent years. Will probably be my go to hotel in Shanghai now.

no real downsides however there isn't much around the immediate vicinity namely a convenience store but easily resolved by getting stuff delivered via meituan. the breakfast overall was decent but could use some minor improvements although this is more of a personal preference (my friend loved the sourdough at breakfast)

The location was perfect for what I wanted, right next to the Pier for the Bund Cruise and walking distance to Yu Gardens and a nice food market. The room was exceptional, the check in staff upgraded my room and it really was fantastic, great size and facilities, and beautiful view of the Bund. The Char bar also had an amazing view of the Bund.

I felt the hotel facilities were lacking for the star rating and cost. The pool area was only open 8am-8pm, which meant I was unable to use it, I would have expected an earlier opening at least. In addition, I attempted to order room service which the menu stated was available till 10pm, but when I called at 9.40pm was informed it had closed already. I also couldn't get the hairdryer to work when I was leaving at 7am and was initially told I would have to wait for housekeeping to come in at 9am, they did come up and fix the issue, but took a bit of convincing. Finally, I ordered a glass of Rose prosecco at the bar, and they gave me a regular prosecco and then stated they didn't have any Rose. All small things, and in isolation wouldn't have bothered me, but together left me frustatrated.

A nice, very well equipped and cozy, boutique style room, surprisingly original and very complete. Location at the Bund is ok, walking distance from some of my favorite restaurants. But the hotel itself has an excellent restaurant too, besides a nice rooftop bar. The location also convenient because of the easy way out to both airports Pudong and Hongqiao.

Staff at front desk could be a little more friendly. Not that they were rude, but a little more engaged attitude would not harm.
