The rooms are individual little cottages with lush gardens. Each cottage has its own outdoor ‘front porch’ with seating. It’s very private because of all the plants and flowers. Wonderful views of Arenal Volcano, especially from the pool area because there is a cow field beside so the view is unobstructed. The cottages are rustic but extremely clean and comfortable. Ours had a large fridge with a freezer compartment and a huge shower with abundant hot water. It was the best shower we’ve had in our past 4 months of travelling in Mexico and Costa Rica. It’s a family owned and run hotel. The owners were very helpful, explained the area and various tour options. Booked us an excursion at a better price than we had found elsewhere, same tour and same tour company. Breakfast was included and was very tasty. The hotel is in a great location. Big grocery store just down the street, lots of restaurants within walking distance and two nature trail parks almost next door to see sloths and other wildlife. We did the Bogarin Trail with a guide and it was amazing.

Only two small things, very minor. 1. Nowhere to put things in the shower except the floor. 2. No bedside lamps so you have to get out of bed before going to sleep to turn off the ceiling lightbulb.

The location was great. A short walk into the town and nice and quiet. Breakfast was good. The gardens in the property were well kept and colourful attracting many birds. The swimming pool and area around it was lovely. We had excellent views of the volcano.

The room itself was a little tired. We were originally allocated a room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a double bed in it. This felt like a dormitory and as a middle aged couple this was not what we had booked. We asked to be moved and were first thing the next morning. This room was much nicer, located at the end of the grounds so very quiet. The room however could do with a little refurbishment. All the fixtures and fittings were all a little bit worn and tired. The fridge was rusty and the door kept falling off.

Comfy woodhouses with small patios, good view to the Arenal volcano. The pool was also fine, you can watch the volcano from there. Wonderful plants around the houses, we even saw a hummingbird! There was hot water in the shower. Got clean towels every day. Laundy service available (2000 colones/kg). Fridge and TV in the room.

AC didn't work. Luckily it wasn't necessary bc it wasn't hot, but we informed the reception on the first night about it and nothing happened. One of the breakfast option was gallo pinto with banana and cheese, first day we also got toast with it, other days didn't. The other was ham&eggs but the ham was awful. Third is 'continental' wich means a bowl of fruit with toast...

We arrived a day later than we planned and they did not charge us for the extra night even though we booked the place in advance and they could have. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, they helped us with everything we needed. The place was rustic, but just like in the photos and we felt it was very clean. Breakfast was good and we never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the food. We felt safe. We didn't expect our room to be cleaned every day with fresh towels waiting for us when we got back. It was also just a 10 minute walk away from the la Fortuna centre, so we walked to a different restaurant every night. All in all very happy with our decision to stay there.

The road is near so one shouldn't be surprised to be woken up by trucks passing in the morning.

We loved the location and proximity to the Arenal National Park. It was too cloudy to see the actual volcano when we were there, but I bet the view is incredible from the pool. We got locked out of our cabin once, our key got jammed. The staff immediately assisted us and called a locksmith, who fixed it in about 20 minutes. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were yummy!

I recommend having earplugs at the ready. The cabins are located near a strip of jungle and there was plenty of noise from birds and heavy, heavy rain. It was a part of the charm though! You don’t go to La Fortuna to avoid nature.

Lovely little budget place, close to town but not too close so was still nice and quiet. Our kids loved the small pools and generally had them to themselves. Breakfast was easy and staff were friendly. Lodges were comfy - fridge was much appreciated. The site is very attractive and overlooks the sloth sanctuary - we saw many while sitting at the pool. Great view of the volcano.

The breakfast was great and had several options to choose from. The location was walking distance from the city center and also a close enough drive to many excursions for exploring the beautiful areas of La Fortuna has to offer.

The rooms were very thin and it was very loud when people were nearby your room (ex. parking cars, door closing, etc.) Need to make sure there are working soap dispensers in the showers.

Our own little chalet with a patio. The pool that has a view of Arenal Volcano Breakfast has 3 options which are all good. Hot water in shower Short walk to everything in La Fortuna

The bathroom, missing parts, towel rack, hot water at sink. Could do with more lighting around sink area.

Very good location. Close to the sloat park where they sell perfect excursions. Nice pool, it has view to the Arenal volcano. We had quiet room at the back yard. The city center is far but there are restaurants and a very big food store in some minutes walk distance.

The room could be little bit more updated but for this price it was good. The breakfast very simple and after 3 nights very boring.

Very nice hotel, all little bungalows. we appreciated the privacy. Lush tropical garden, swimming pool with volcano vieuw. Very nice breakfast. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is not in the centre but its at 15 min by walk. Reception can get you a taxi. Will be going back. Rustic hotel. We had an armadillo in front of our bungalow and saw a toucan while swimming in the swimming pool.
