The place is beautiful! It was especial experience for us. We loved the jungle vegetation outside our room along with the montane view, the breakfast was really good as well as our dinners in the resort's restaurant. We also loved walking around in the local wonderful trail.

The receptionist staff was not informative enough, and did not provide the information we needed for touring around the area.

We had such a great time at this hotel. A small but great example of how attentive and kind they are, we were welcomed with a gift: stainless steel water bottles for the whole family, with personal name tags. The staff is super friendly. Our kids felt at home, and had a great time at the pool surrounded by howler monkeys, leguans etc. Breakfast and diner was good! We have small kids so didn’t enjoy their surf facilities, but for sure a lovely and warm place in Nosara, to enjoy the beach, pool and surroundings (by foot, car of rented golf cart).

Shower could use some repair for sure

We loved staying at the Lost Iguana. Pool was awesome, loved the hiking trail, the bath tub on our patio and outdoor shower were amazing. The dinner at the restaurant was just okay, breakfast we enjoyed more! It’s a little bit off the beaten path (if you don’t have a car I imagine it’s hard to get around) - but we would definitely stay there again!

Restaurant was a bit overpriced for the quality, and the hills to the rooms were challenging so just a note for anyone who is not up for a steep climb to your room! The rooms could also be updated a bit, and the bed was pretty firm.

A proper resort experience: really nice spacious grounds with a heated pool and a swim-up bar. They've gone to a lot of effort to make you feel like you're in the middle of a rainforest. We had dinner in the hotel a few nights and the food was very good. The staff at dinner were also very friendly (less so at breakfast and on reception).

Breakfast was fairly average, the room itself was quite dated. The hotel is a bit further out so you definitely need a car to get around, but that's also kind of part of its charm. Cocktails by the pool weren't anything special but we found that to be the case pretty much everywhere in Costa Rica.

We loved everything about our stay at Lost Iguana. The property is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are so well cared for, the rooms were very clean (Antony did a fantastic job of cleaning thoroughly every day!) All staff was incredibly polite. The spa was gorgeous. The food was great. We didn’t want to leave!

Maybe the glass doors out to the patio could have better seals, there was a hatch of insects one Briton and our room was quite full of them, as they were coming in under the door.

Spectacular view in an outstanding area surrounded by forest. The rooms were cozy and nice with forest decorations. Nice lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. Breakfast was nice but limited to 4-5 items although you could make/order your own. Incredibly friendly staff

The location is perfect however it's too far from the airport (San Jose in our case) and the roads are very narrow but again this could be positive when you are there to relax far from crowded city life.

The resort was beautiful, we were surrounded by nature and greenery, definitely felt like we were staying in the jungle. The view of the volcano from the room was spectacular. The room was immaculate, and the cleanliness of the entire resort made us feel very comfortable. The food and drinks were great, but none of these would have been possible without the amazing staff. Luis, Nacho, Edgar, and Joshi made us feel right at home, they're amazing at what they do.

We honestly cannot think of anything we did not like.

The grounds and gardens are well kept and there are lots of humming birds, the walking trail is also nice. The volcano view is spectacular especially if you are lucky enough for a clear sky. We upgraded to a suite for Christmas and the room was amazing, really big and comfortable and we liked the outside showers and hot tub. We enjoyed sitting in the heated pool for late afternoon happy hour and pool towels are provided.

We felt the hotel was trying too hard to cater for North American and European families and was lacking in authenticity, but we don't usually come to resorts like this. Arenal/ La Fortuna in general was the most touristy place we visited in CR. They add 10% service charge and 13% tax onto everything so the final bill was expensive and the restaurant was a bit hit and miss. Need a car or tour transportation to get anywhere.

Very well situated in Arenal. Close to Mistico Park and just off the main road. La Fortuna is close as well. The restaurant staff was so nice. We stayed four nights and ate breakfast and dinner there everyday. The menu is varied with seafood, fajitas, pasta, burgers, delicious soup (try the chicken poblano). The grounds are lush with plants suited for hummingbirds and many other birds. Monkeys, toucans, we saw it all. And great views of the volcano.

The view was absolutely breathtaking every morning, and breakfast was amazing with a variety of options. The staff is very accommodating, and willing to help in any manner. It was a very welcoming feeling, especially when you’re in a different country.

I really can’t complain about anything. The only thing I could complain about is how bad my legs hurt, sometimes walking up the hill to my room LOL
