I chose this hotel, especially for the view, given that the length of stay was short. Reading the reviews & notes, I had some “emotions”. Subsequent conclusions: first of all, I do not understand the criticisms brought, respectively I cannot relate to most of them; secondly, I had an unforgettable experience through the varied breakfast, cleanliness, location and the hotel staff (very helpful and sociable). Thus, the quality-price ratio is a very good one. The pictures on the website correspond to reality, so that just because the furniture is not new, does not mean that a hotel is not good (make a distinction).

The grade I gave is not the highest because I think that certain details in the room should be improved & more carefully finished.

This is a prime example of how an older hotel with average but quality renovation can shine due to its exceptional staff and their attitude. We spent four wonderful days in early May at this hotel with our family. The breakfasts are great, though we missed having fresh vegetables. Overall, the food was standard and satisfying. The staff at the hotel is simply wonderful—polite, helpful, and attentive! Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to address our questions and problems. When my wife was ill and we asked for a kettle to heat water for tea, they brought us not only a kettle but also medicines, honey, and lemon. For my daughter's birthday, they surprised us with a delicious cake that wasn't even on the restaurant menu. The hotel's location is fantastic! It’s near the beach and the central Babiego Street, which is perfect for strolling. The coastline is also great for walks, and there's a bus stop nearby that takes you to the Old Town in 20 minutes. However, the hotel is not suitable for disabled guests or those with mobility issues, as there are many steps and no elevators or ramps. Families with children might find it challenging as there are limited activities apart from the beach. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel! The price-quality ratio is excellent!

The only things we didn't like were the bed and the door handles—I was tempted to buy some WD-40 and fix them myself

The staff were great and very helpful. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay which afforded a beautiful view. The hotel is spacious and in a great location. You could eat as much as you liked with their a buffet style breakfast. It is a bus ride into the old town but there are plenty of good bars and restaurants near by.

The hotel is a bit dated and various things were being painted and repaired when we were there. The Adriatic is beautiful but there are ugly concrete platforms, steps and half derelict buildings along the front near the hotel.

Great central beach location, very clean and tidy hotel - towels changed daily. More then satisfactory for the price. Tip - follow the beach right round to the left for a quieter spot :)

Sun beds are approx £7 a day, there was no fresh fruit juice at breakfast just powdered from a machine. As we had a late flight it would have been great to have a safe/secure room to store our luggage. Instead the receptionist pointed to a corner in the lobby/reception so we took it to the beach with us instead.

Lovely area, directly on beach - had beautiful sea view. Bus to Oldtown was only €2.50ea and outside door of hotel , they arrived every 15/20mins. Lots of lovely restraunts in short walking distance . Lovely promenade walk on opposite side of bay 5mins away . Breakfast that was included had plenty of everything- hot & cold food & fresh croissants , tea coffee & juices. Housekeeper for room was 1st class - fresh towels every day & sheets changed many times during 7night stay. Fresh fruit basket in room as a welcome token was a nice touch

I didnt use sunbeds on the beach as we didnt lie in sun but price of €15 ea - I feel is expensive for hotel guests

We arrived early and told our room was ready which was a good start We found reception staff and cleaners very helpful and super friendly . Clean towels every day and beds made Fantastic view from our balcony with the sound of the sea at night We always found plenty to eat at breakfast and ate 3 nights in the hotel at the buffet which was also very good and plenty to pick from . Our waiter Alexa was fantastic and very entertaining Yes our room had brown wooden furniture ( maybe not Insta ready for some ) but it was clean and we didn’t come to Croatia to stay in our room all day . Our balcony view well made up for it Pebble beach so bring your beach shoes but the sea is very clear and snorkeling was great Also very quiet at night There is a forest park a few minutes walk uphill from the hotel which is very nice and has some lovely views The number 4 bus ( bus stop across the street ) will get you into the old town in about 10 minutes We certainly had a fabulous time and will be back next year

The hotel has a fantastic location, it's literally on the beach! The view over the sea and the mountains from the restaurant is fabulous 😊 The hotel is very clean and neat, our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioning was working perfectly. The bus stop is just across the road, very easy to get to the Old Town (15 minutes by bus nr. 4). Breakfast and dinner were really good. I'm a vegetarian, and I could always find a lot of things to eat. Warm croissants and baked vegetables for breakfast were sooo good! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel!

The parasols and the sunbeds on the beach are very expensive. 30 euro per day for one parasol and two sunbeds. Also, drinks are not included in the dinner, you have to pay for them if you want to drink something.

Excellent location, great food. Amazing beach, quiet and with beautiful water. The bus to Dubrovnik old town stops in front of the hotel. Half board very good value for money, great choice of food and very tasty. The staff is kind. The view from the restaurant balcony to the sea is priceless. We loved the complimentary tray of fruit on arrival

The room was extremely small, we had to pass next to the bed sideways to go to the balcony. You can't even turn around in the room. We have stayed here before and had a normal room. This time they gave us an extremely small one. The shower makes a mess in the bathroom and water collects on the floor, which you then step in and make the room wet too. The room has no refregirator to at least keep your water or drinks cold

The food was really really good, quite literally better than a lot of restaurants we've been to. The dinner selection within each meal was limited to only a few dishes, but in return the food was extremely tasty! And you still get the variety from day to day, mainly at dinner. The staff was very nice, kind, helpful and always smiling! It was also very easy to communicate with the staff since everyone in the staff, from the reception to the bar, dinner area and so on had a very good English skill. The view from the hotel is astonishing. the bay is right in front of the hotel and when the day is sunny you look out your room and get the view of this crystal blue water. The hotel has direct access to the beach as well, just down a flight of stairs. The beds are big, spacious and comfortable. Another advantage of this location is that there is a regular bus line right in front of the hotel that takes you to the Dubrovnik Old Town, which takes roughly 20 minutes to reach the destination. This allows you to be in a very chilled area with a not so crowded beach area, while at the same time being able to easily access the city center if you plan to visit it a day or two.

The only downside of the hotel is that it feels a bit old in some parts of the facilities, mainly the bathrooms. In our room you could notice that the Bedroom was renovated while the bathrooms feel more dated, with some moldy spots and some water leaks (in our case there was a leak in the sink and another one in the ceiling coming from the room above, but nothing major anyway). The rooms themselves I would say are what you could expect in a 3 star hotel, decent space to store all your clothes and big comfy begs. The only thing that also felt dated was the doors to the corridor, which not only use keys rather than cards, but also are not well sealed/isolated and in some rooms you could see they would leave some small spots of light open due to them being wood and older.
