Situated in a lovely quiet area with beautiful views. Away from the road so no traffic noise...although it's only a little road anyway, not busy. Short walk, about 10 minutes, down to the town where there were many varied restaurants and bars. Good sized room with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens and bay. Large complimentary bowl of fresh fruit and bottle of water...very much appreciated when I arrived quite late in the evening. Numerous outside areas to sit or sunbathe. Reception and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided was great, had everything you could want and plenty of it. The bus to the Old Town stopped right opposite the entrance and ran every 30 minutes. I bought a Dubrovnik Three Day Pass, covered lots of places in the Old Town including the wall and all local bus fares - saved me a lot of money. Overall, I would go back here.

Room could do with some modernising. Hairdryer was wall mounted over the toilet with quite a short hose, not much power and a handle that got very hot. Room didn't have a kettle or coffee maker but I had taken a travel kettle just in case. Unfortunately the only usuable socket was on the back wall under the desk so very awkward to get to. I knew when I booked that there wasn't a lift but one would have come in very useful. Did have to complain...dirty crockery, glasses etc left for 4 days. Was sorted immediately though once I reported it.

The beach front was lovely. We went just out of season, but I can imagine it's packed out in the height of the season. Location was great, comfortable big beds, our rooms were tided daily as well. Reception staff were pleasent & helpful.

There are no plug sockets by the bed, and there is no local beer available in the hotel bar. We only visited this once as one of our party became unwell, so needed an earlier night. Only stella available. Breakfast was OK. It would have been nice to have a little variety each day instead of exactly the same.

Loved the location , the beautiful views. Great breakfast, great dinners, friendly professional staff. Comfortable rooms. Great balcony overlooking stunning views. On bus route to Old Town. Loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

No tea making facilities in room . No Lift. In fairness I was aware of this when I booked the hotel. I did email the hotel and asked for a kettle in the room which I collected from reception when I arrived but would have being perfect if there was a tea tray in room. Not enough sockets , sockets very low so had to place kettle on the floor to boil it.

The hotel was ideally located right on the shore of the Adriatic Sea. The very punctual bus to the Old Town of Dubrovnik went from just outside the hotel(a 1 minute walk). We bought the 3 day city pass for $45 each which made the bus service free. Service at Hotel Splendid was excellent. Staff were friendly, efficient, professional, and had great English. The buffet breakfast and evening meal offered a great selection of delicious food. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly daily. The hotel had a large bottle of water, delicious chocolate, and a fruit platter as a gift upon arriving at our room. We were also allowed to check in a few hours early. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was really good, lot's of salty and sweet options, fruits and veggies. It was really nice that there was some local dishes every morning. Hotel was old, but really clean and the staff was lovely. You had everything you needed. Hotels beach was super. Bus to the old town went literally outside the hotel.

Toilets/plumbing were really loud, if someone close to your room used the toilet/shower at night the noise could wake you up. Although it could have been a problem only in our room.

Our room had a sea view and a small balcony..The Hotel is situated outside the main centre of Dubrovnik however the number 4 bus stops just outside the front taking you to the gates of Old Town in around ten minutes. The rear of the hotel has access to lots of seating areas right down to the small beach. Good breakfast buffet. We tried the evening buffet on arrival this was good value.

There are some areas for updating generally. The hotel bar and restaurant was very quiet at the end of September. Anyone with mobility issues should be aware that there is no lift.

Very convenient location with amazing views and a small beach. The breakfast was very good, both hot and cold choices, all freshly made. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Bus stop immediately outside hotel allows you to take bus No 4 to go directly to the old town and back for just a few euros. Very convenient.

Needs an update throughout although it remains functional and clean, and the bathroom has been modernised. There’s no tea/coffee facilities, no kettle, no water provided, so an early morning cuppa is out of the question. Towels could be replaced, currently too small and poor quality. There’s no electrical sockets by the bed so can’t charge phones overnight. Soundproofing inadequate. Pillows poor, need replacing.

Location of this hotel was perfect, it was located on the edge of the water and had its own little shingle beach. It was a short walk either along the coastal path/beach or the road into Lapad where the restaurants and bars were. The bus stop was outside the hotel and the buses were so easy to use to get into Dubrovnik Town. We got the Dubrovnik Pass which gave us access to the city walls aswell as free use of the buses. The view from our room was beautiful ( we were on the 3rd floor) and the room itself was a little dated but very clean. We had a balcony and could watch the sunset each evening . Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of choice . We ate outside on the terrace and had views of the sea. All members of staff were very polite and welcoming and the hotel was very clean. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends.

One evening due to bad weather we had no choice but to have dinner in the hotel. It was a buffet style, there wasn’t much choice and it wasn’t anything to get excited about.

Location was postcard perfect. Plenty of outdoor dining/bar areas for a sunset dinner or cool start to breakfast. Staff extremely helpful in all areas. Having a balcony view was a highlight as well as the closeness to safe swimming areas in the sea. Adequate sized rooms that were spotless and water pressure/temperature was excellent. Good breakfast each morning. Close to public transport into the old town.

The main building is 1960's era (which I love!) but be aware - no lifts and access to the breakfast room, outdoor areas and to the bus stop means steps.

excellent location, stunning views, stunning seafront. excellent bus access and service to and from old town. easy walk to lapad area with lots of restaurants and bars. good hotel breakfast. rooms were clean, though a bit dated, but it nevertheless added to the charm and uniqueness of this lovely hotel. bed was very comfortable.

rooms unfortunately not well soundproofed. a requested breakfast box for our day trip was very disappointing. no tea or coffee making facility in the room.
