We booked two rooms for me and my sister's family. It's a gorgeous little hotel in the middle of the old town with everything in central Prague within walking distance. Other cool neighborhoods like Karlin and Holesovice are easily reachable by tram. What I appreciated most was the outstanding hospitality and kindness of the staff. Everyone got a bottle of welcome wine! The staff, especially Daria, went above and beyond to accommodate our every request, including a late check out at 4 PM, and a quick room change (I requested a room with less outdoor noise). They ensured we were welcome and comfortable and quickly worked on our requests. The views outside the rooms were truly spectacular. The breakfast was lovely. Thanks again for your outstanding service.

If you like me prefer to keep your windows open at night, you could ask for a room facing the square and not the road. It's less noisy. But all the rooms are very well equipped with noise-canceling windows so that's not a problem for most people.

I have waited to write this review until I had time to do it proper justice and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do that. Our stay at the sweet Josephine Hotel was among the best hotel stays we have ever had, and likely ever will have. Prague is, itself, such a magical city and to be staying right on the edge of Old Town was amazing. To actually be staying in a piece of that history was even more amazing. Josephine Hotel is situated in a little old courtyard area that sides onto a key landmark of Old Town (Tyn Church : early 13th century). To look out of our window at the gothic trim on the side of this was priceless and had the weather been better we would have enjoyed sitting out on the terrace having a coffee. The room itself was quite incredible with two king beds, a pullout sofa a vaulted ceiling and full sized chandelier! The breakfast buffet was reminiscent of a quaint cafe with servers bringing specialized coffee orders (no big ol' carafe of drip) to the table and a broad selection of hot and cold items, pastries, specialty juices (try the blueberry!) etc. They even provided lovely gluten free bread, upon request, which was so appreciated by the member of our party with Celiac Disease. When I am booking travel arrangements I tend to get analysis paralysis and look at a hundred properties trying to find the best combination of location, price, amenities, and overall value. Based on our experience I'd recommend that you cease your hunt and book here now if you can!

The only complaint was that we had to leave. We will be back here, without question or hesitation, when we next return to Prague!

Every member of the lovely staff contributed to our delightful stay, ensuring we felt right at home. The room was beautiful and had a stunning view, adding to the overall charm of our stay. Breakfast was also delightful, offering a delicious start to each day. The charm of this hotel in the heart of the old town, coupled with the exceptional service, truly made our visit extraordinary. The Josephine sits in the Ungelt plaza, a quiet, cobblestone patio just steps away from the Old Town plaza but totally peaceful. There's nothing like this location, it's perfect. The rooms are large and decorated with period furniture, with a large, tiled bathroom with a big tub. The buffet breakfasts are spectacular, with every dish imaginable- especially fresh Czech bread, eggs, potatoes, pancakes, salads, fruit, homemade cakes, coffee, juice, etc. A discount card was included for museums. The staff were super helpful, from our checkin to daily questions and restaurant recommendations- thanks Diana!

Where to start? I will start with one of the kindest and most helpfull persons I have met in my life, our receptionist Anastazia. She welcomed us to our hotel with special glow and kindness and we did not have any quedtions unanswered after a couple of minutes. She advised us whwre to eat, where to park our car, what to visit and so much more. Anastasia thank you for everything. To conitnue rooms are spacious and hotel is one of the squares next to main square so location is perfect. Beds are very comfortable so we had a great night sleep and do not make a mistake and skip breakfast because you can try some of the local specials

The location is wonderful. It's walking distance to the train station and everywhere in Old Town. Reception was helpful in arranging taxis and recommending restaurants.

We were happy satisfied for our stay in Josephine. The room was very nice , spacious , toilet and bath is very clean with fresh towels everyday and the body& hair wash and the conditioner love it. The welcome wine was advantage , thanks 😉. We got it all for breakfast..it was well done everything we need was in the table. Foods was great and the host Diana was super friendly and rest of the dining staffs. Daria was nice and smiley , great job. I would like to thank the guy I think he's the manager , I forgot my phone and eye glasses but got it back thanks to this guy he handed me water to drink and also got me an uber cause I have to catch the bus leaving in 10 minutes...I catched the bus! Location is what I yearn for. Surrounded with everything you needed. Steps from the main square. Staffs are nice and energetic. Special thanks to Iana who rapidly arranged the room and completed my early check in. Breakfast is plentiful with a cost of €16 I would count that is “fairly” reasonable.

Since the hotel is located in Old Town, the building structure is quite limited to some facilities such as elevator. Here, you will find the smallest elevator you have ever experienced which can hardly contain one person and one suitcase!! Furthermore carrying 25 kgs suitcase up/down the stairs to the top floor — as the elevator cannot reach — is very painful. Noise also another drawbacks. During the night, you will hear uncivilized drunk people shouted and yelled even after midnight. So please prepare.

Exceptional location and outstanding staff . The warmth and hospitality of the staff actually stood out . So welcoming and always smiling . Not just one of them , but all of them . The answer to every request was always a YES . Daria and Anna stood out. Breakfast was great too . It's incredibly close to the Old Town Square . So walking distance to pretty much everything. The rooms were super clean and nice . Quite large actually. Wonderful stay . Strongly recommended.

Nothing really

The hotel is centrally located near the main square with the atomic clock. The included breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate. Our room was much larger than we're used to and we appreciated the two free bottles of water we received each day. I asked if it was possible to have a kettle and the receptionist brought me one. We only realised later that it was the staff kettle - we appreciate them lending it to us. Although the hotel is in an old building, there is a small lift.

The hotel is on a small square with bars and restaurants. Because we were there in summer and slept with the windows open, we never got to sleep before about 2am due to men laughing and shouting, and on the Friday evening it went on all night until we left for breakfast the next morning. We suspect the culprit was the Irish bar on the square that advertises they specialise in hen and stag parties.
