Pine cliffs is what you would expect for a 5 star establishment, the staff were very friendly, food and drinks were brilliant and everything readily available which was perfect for us travelling with our 5 month old baby. The apartment was well equipped and travel cot and high chair provided. Supermarket nearby and would recommend a short drive/Uber to the larger Aldi/Lidl in Albuferia as much more selection available. The real stand out for us was how brilliant the cleaners were - our apartment was always spotless after their visit. Shout out to Sandra at Portofino who made us feel very welcome. The gym was well equipped. Pools were well maintained and lots of loungers available. We would have appreciated if one of the pools was heated (especially the kids pools) as was a little cold to take a small baby in but maybe this was that we visited later in the season.

We were surprised that the club cars and golf buggies were still petrol powered and not electric vehicles. This was noticeable as there were club cars constantly around the resort which were loud and had fumes. In 2024, in a luxury resort we would have expected that these would have been transitioned to electric vehicles. We expected the food to be expensive given the location but the drinks and food were extremely expensive €9 for iced coffee, €5 for can of coke etc and each bill also included a 10% suggested tip. Whilst tipping is fine for a meal with great service it was surprising that when walking to a bar to get an expensive drink you were still asked to tip. That said you have facilities to cook in the accommodation and can bring your own drinks to the pool etc.

The size of the room and how clean it was.

The extras it cost to do a lot of things.

Impeccable hygiene and clean rooms with comfy beds. The nature & beach are just beautiful. Lots of pools and grass lounges and several restaurants to choose from. Great for a few days for families to just chill & relax.

There are no walking paths outside the grass areas and most cars drive at fast speeds internally which doesn't make you feel safe to leave your kids alone. They need to install cameras or larger speed bumps. The gyms are too small and if you're the type that wakes up early to hit the gym, it's most likely overcrowded. The padel court is not free. The restaurants are good, but priced at "great'.

The apartment was really good. Kitchen had good appliances and equipments. Bathroom was big and had good shower. Altough Gardens are close to the main gate it was easy walk to all the restaurants and beach. Restaurants were quite pricy but according to the room prices. Breakfast was excellent and other food also good. Chlidren play ground was the best I have seen in hotels.

The indoor pool wasn’t so nice. It would be nice to have one heated outside pool.

Beautiful upscale Resort Hotel in a great location right by Beach. Market and nice Restaurant located right across the street within easy walking distance.

No towels at pool towel shack right by Room. Had to drive to another pool that had an open shack, really inconvenient. Several Restaurants listed on website (Piri Piri, Yakuza) as being open are in fact closed. Guests should be better informed as to which Restaurants are open so they can plan dinner accordingly perhaps at check in or on the Hotel Ap.

The atmosphere and the location was fantastic. The pines and the cliffs were so mesmerizing. It really felt like a paradise and you really feel relaxed. The concierge, Claudia was really helpful and we really appreciated her recommendations.We really liked our apartment as it came with everything that we needed and even more!

We went for breakfast once and the breakfast was not that great. Service was pretty slow and you could tell that they were really understaffed. Furthermore, cleaning could have been better as often the bathrooms were dirty, even after cleaning. The food was also so so as it was overpriced and not that great. I recommend going somewhere outside of the hotel to find a good place to eat.

Location, everything is of the highest quality

Food and drink prices are high as you would expect at a luxury resort however there are good local options

Staff were lovely. Location and beach are fantastic.

Breakfast wasn’t great (see below). Not enough gluten-free choices in ALL the restaurants (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Very difficult for my son to find things that he could eat. This is a real shame given the generally high quality of food and the hotel in general.

Great facilities and places to eat in a beautiful setting. The hotel manager was fantastic as well. The service levels are very high.

Our initial apartment was not in a great location but the manager assisted us to move to a fantastic apartment.

The whole complex was beautiful, really well designed. lots of pool options so never over crowded. loved the direct access to the beach via a lift and walkway, beach beds provided by hotel. lovely staff, every staff member from bar staff to managers were attentive, polite and kind. rooms are very comfortable and big it’s a big complex, so some things are quite far to walk, but we like walking so this is a bonus for us, you don’t feel ‘lazy’.

unfortunately the food, this is the biggest downside it’s really not good, especially considering the price you are paying. My son unfortunately contracted food poisoning eating l at the ‘O Grill’ buffet restaurant , but to be honest we hadn’t been that impressed with the food before this point. luckily we love travelling out of the hotel, and ventured into Vilamoura marina lots of evenings, so we weren’t restricted.
