Adamas House Hotel Boutique is an elegant hotel tucked away in the historic center of Quito. The decor was tasteful with colorful accents. We had the family suite with a king bed downstairs and two double beds upstairs for the kids. The room, located on the 2nd floor of the hotel interior, was very clean and the bathroom modern. A jug of purified water along with glasses was provided for toothbrushing, and foil-wrapped chocolates greeted us on arrival. Served in their beautiful dining room, the breakfast was delicious and included eggs cooked to order as well as a basket of breads/pastries, a traditional Ecuadorian sweet steamed pastry (quimbolito), coffee/tea/hot chocolate, juice, and freshly cut fruit. I was feeling the effects of the altitude, so they provided me with special mate de coca tea that helped. We had made dinner reservations a few weeks prior to arrival as they only open the kitchen by reservation. After our day tour of Quito, dinner at the hotel was like having a delicious home-cooked Ecuadorian meal with seafood ceviche with chifles (plantain chips), roasted salmon with vegetables, and passionfruit cheesecake. We preferred this to going out for dinner after dark in crime-ridden Quito. After dinner, we went to the rooftop terrace to take in beautiful nighttime views of the city. Roberto was there seemingly at all hours to check us in around midnight upon our arrival, and to check us out at 5:30 am at our departure. They did a great job arranging car transport to and from the airport at those odd hours so we wouldn't have to rely on public transportation that is reportedly dangerous in Quito. On the day of departure, they provided bagged breakfasts with ham and cheese sandwiches, strawberries, granola bars, and bottled juices. We felt very well taken care of.

We were informed initially that the hotel transports would be $35 each way, but in the end we were charged $48 each way. However, I had gotten another quote for $50 each way from our tour guide, so I guess it's the going rate. More towel racks/hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. The glass shower door also had a tendency to slide open by itself; this was remedied by stuffing a hand towel under it. The bed pillows were a bit flat for my taste, although my husband (a side sleeper) liked them. Also, the stairs to the 2nd floor of the suite were a bit precarious where they turned, although an additional handrail had been installed to assist users and was helpful.

The hotel is located on the edge of the Centro Historical district. You can walk to anything down town; Independence Square, shopping, museums, etc. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff is awesome. Katrina helped us with a lot of directions and other questions. Superb!! Our room was very spaceous and the hot showers were a Godsend from the other hotels we had from our previous travels around the country. Maid service and our bed were great.Top all of this off with a roof top terrace to relax and enjoy the view of the city makes this a special place.

The one thing we would have changed is our room location itself within the hotel. Our room, although an excellent experience, was one of 2 that over looked the street below and, with that, the noise from traffic was palpabile. Starting at around 5am and not slowing until around 6pm, we would have asked for a different room upon booking. NOTE: make sure you ask for an interior room. There is no view from these 2 room. Only road noise.

Staff (Karina) exceeded expectations in helping us find tours, making reservations for dinner, directions to sightseeing. Breakfast was excellent. Location is great. It is a newly remodeled hotel and everything was clean and nicely decorated. The room was charming and spacious. The night time staff arranged a trip from the airport (our driver was Martin - highly knowledgeable and concerned for our safety). Karina helped us arranged a tour to the middle of the earth . hIghly recommend this toursist sight.

the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive the breakfast was really nice the bed was super comfy and big

my room didn’t had an external window so room was very dark. there was window only facing the inside of hotel. acoustics are not so good, you hear everything from common areas but no noises until late, so it was not an issue. there could be an extender for the plugs. there was only 1 plug next to night stand.

The suite room was very well sized - with a sitting room on one floor and the bedroom upstairs. This was well located to explore Quito and the staff was really nice.

We booked a tour through the hotel - the driver and tour guide were great, however the itinerary planned by the hotel was not the best. There were certain activities that weren't confirmed and we were unable to do. It was still a nice 3d/2n tour but there were some missteps.

Outstanding service! Karina was amazing. She welcomed us, arranged all of our sightseeing, suggested a fabulous restaurant named Ruan where we enjoyed two meals. She answered all our questions and ensured an amazing stay. The breakfast was also delicious. The location, cleanliness and common areas were all above standard. The terrace was also a nice spot to take in the cityscape.

The stairs in the room were a little tricky but not impossible.

beautiful opulent styled hotel, everything was super clean, the beds were comfy, good Wi-Fi, great hot water and good pressure showers, breakfast was delicious, staff were super friendly and helpful and 5 mins walk to the main square.

the room we stayed in first was quite small and had very little windows and not enough natural sunlight. but they swapped us into the bigger suite which was much bigger and had heaps more light.

Breakfast was amazing - fresh juice, selection of breads with cheese and ham, scrambled eggs, coffee or tea, selection of cereals, and always a lovely Ecuadorian treat on the side. The roof top with lovely views of the city provides a nice respite from traffic and noise of the city. Hotel was quick to answer questions, and help arrange for taxis. Arranged for Covid test -one time the technician came to the hotel, the second time, we went to the facility because of some "glitch". When one of us suffered extreme altitude sickness arranged a doctor to come to the hotel promptly and the staff were amazing and very helpful.

The hotel is situated on streets which have an incline. If you don't or can't walk up slight inclines, it would be best to use a taxi, which usually runs $2-3 within the city.

Convenient location within easy walk of all main attractions in historic centre. Nice open and spacious feel to the downstairs areas. Generous, varied breakfasts with different Ecuadorean speciality each day. Plenty of good quality towels - so often hotels limit guests to one each but Adamas supplied three! Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Noisy dogs outside barking for hours during the night, but this is not the hotel’s fault, it’s a local issue.
