Very charming place on the more interesting side of Nile, with internal patio and well-equipped rooms. Not boutique, not luxury, but spacious and cosy. Very helpful and nice staff too. A great place to stay with a convenient access to Luxor's main attractions - the tombs.

Rather poor breakfast (probably because included in the room price), no advertised safebox (an apparent error in the description). The management could be nicer to the complaining guests. :)

The room was very clean and the staff were helpful. I loved the location, which is very close to the ferry.

One of the staff members was romantically interested in me, which was very awkward because I have a fiance. He and the man next door both expressed their interest in me and did not stop asking even when I expressed I am not interested. However both men are very lovely people and so is the rest of the staff. I wish them all the best.

Mustafa and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and refreshing after a few long days of travel. The hotel was far enough away from busy roads that it was very peaceful and quiet - we only heard the sounds of animals which was nice and it's only a short walk from the Nile River. Luxor is an hour flight from Cairo and a good central location between Aswan and Abydos. We'll be staying at the Amon Hotel when we return!

Best decision we made in Luxor is staying at the West Bank in Amon hotel! The garden is amazing to see, with various plants, turtles and lovely seating. They have two rooftop terraces where you can enjoy the sun and views of the valley of kings, Hatshepsut and the east Bank. The staff is very kind and ready to help you with anything. Baha at the reception is always smiling and very proficient in English. Mohammed, the owner, helped us arrange our trip to the Valley of Kings, etc., with a guide for a nice price. Our guide Hassan was very good at telling us everything we wanted to know and making jokes in between. We enjoyed our stay at Amon Hotel a lot! The rooms are comfy with good pillows and the nights are very quiet. Best sleep I've had in Egypt!!!! Would recommend a 100%

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! I loved all of the native plants and greenery. They were even labeled with the plant's name in English and Arabic. There were fantastic views of the temples and city from the roof top. The room was spotless of any dust and much larger than I expected. The A/C unit and ceiling fan were new and cooled the room quickly but there was also a gorgeous balcony if you prefer the breeze. The hotel's craftsmanship has been very well designed and kept. Breakfast was prepared fresh at the time I had requested and brought out to me in the garden. They served an traditional Egyptian breakfast which was the best I had so far! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely relaxing hotel and I wish I could have stayed longer.

I think I was the only guest. It would have been nice to have had company at breakfast.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Amon! The staff were friendly and accomodating, location convenient (just a short walk to the ferry) rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and most importantly, the food was delicious. We organised most of tours through the hotel owner or manager, and they were always kind enough to have breakfast available for us no matter how early we needed it. Highly recommend.

The location is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on the West Bank of Luxor. The bed was very comfortable - my wife and I got an excellent night sleep for each of the three days we stayed at Amon. We headed out quite early each morning (~5-6am) and the staff offered us a cooked breakfast and boxed lunch each morning. The room had a balcony overlooking a wonderful garden - very nice place/view to enjoy a cup of tea at the end of the day.

I was in this hotel for 5 days. It has a very nice tropical garden, a quiet peaceful lovely hotel. It is a real Egyptian feeling that is here. If you want to get to know the real Egypt and the people come here. I got a very good breakfast and dinner and very but very great cleanliness! The staff are kind and friendly always smiling. Close to the Valley of the Kings you can go cycling and at dawn you can also visit the nearby banana and sugar cane plantations. The ferry to the east coast is 5 minutes away and runs day and night. I'm sure I'll go back here again.

A hidden gem in the back streets of the West Bank that greets you for breakfast, transports you to the Valley of Kings and Queens in an old Peugeot, and then back for a late dinner in the wonderfully serene garden/coartyard. The rooms are quaint with a charm you won't find in modern chains. You can sit out on tbe balconies to take in birdsongs if you wish, too. Throughout my stay at Amon Hotel, I have been treated with good grace and warm hearts, which I will remember fondly.
