We would love to thank the beautiful young receptionist who was working on Saturday the 8th of March 4:30 pm who looked after us. We were upgraded for no other reason other than her incredible capacity to show kindness to two very humble people. We are nurses and never dreamed of ever staying in a room like that - it literally took our breaths away and made our eyes leak with overwhelming gratitude. She has no idea the impact she has had on creating a memory that will last forever for us, and we were so incredible blessed and grateful she was on that day. We wanted to buy her some flowers to show our enormous thank you, but I wasn't wearing my glasses at the time and and didn't get her name But we will remember her and the experience she gave us. She is a true gift to your organisation and words are just not enough to express our heartfelt thanks David & Katherine

the staff on arrival were exceptional - falling over themselves to help - insisting on taking our luggage - delivering to our room. Organising a taxi - running out to the taxi to assist out of the car and take whatever baggage we may have been carrying - asking if we needed anything.

The website should have noted that if walking to the hotel from the trains - it is a very steep up hill location - website should suggest don't walk if you have luggage, but to grab a taxi - taxi cost to location is under $20 AUD. The walk is okay when not carrying luggage.

Room was amazing, bed very comfortable and large. Views from the bar were fabulous.

Check in took about 20 minutes. We were given no information about the hotel, facilities or restaurants. We got stuck in the lift as we weren't informed about scanning our room key card to activate it! The was no more information in the room or on the 'Shangri-la ' site on the TV.

The view from our room was spectacular. Staff were very attentive and happy to help.

The hotel is located at the top of a very steep hill

Everything was great. The location is so good and the bar on the top floor is stunning. The staff were very helpful.

TV was a little slow to start and took us a while to work out. Also, theview w as little dissapointing as we were only on the 6th floor.

Hotel was lovely and room excellent. Club facilities were very nice but good choice particularly of fruit was a little limited. The location is difficult for elderly people like us as it requires a very uphill walk from Circular Quay to access the hotel.This makes it difficult for us to contemplate a further stay despite the hotels excellent facilities .

The Club facilities evening buffet could do with a little more variety. The location also requires a strenuous uphill walk from town which makes it a little difficult for older people.

Nice hotel, nice views, large rooms, friendly staff, location very well situated

Not even a single complimentary bottle of water, paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars, you would expect a one dollar water bottle at least. Upon checkout, I was about to get charged for movie tickets that I didn't even go to, was told $95 for parking for our stay (2 nights) but than I was charged $95 for each night.

The general atmosphere of the hotel... the very welcoming attitude of the Concierge (Colin and staff members) thf ftienliness of most staff members. Location is very good!

The swimming pool... boring abd depressing atmosphere. Grey every where (one of my neighbours in the UK) has an indoor swimming poll (decorated with frescoes and various green plants) which is far more inspiring that yours. Also the fact that the inside doors are blocked by 2 "chaises-longues" completely blocked the access to the outside terrace which is totally unpractical and frustrating as this outside space (If it was equipped with a hight quality astroturf would give a relaxing outdoor space to the swimming pool (chaises-longues and small tables/chairs would be a plus. Another point to be noted: The long wait at the lifts... maybe some reprogramming will help to reduce the waiting time.

When my partner and I first arrived, our bags were taken straight away to our room and we were greeted straight away. Our check in process was smooth and when we arrived to our room, the hotel staff were kind enough to organise a 'happy birthday' sign on our window for my partner. Later on we were surprised again with a slice of cake for my partner and I to share. Our stay was so comfortable, location was great as we were close to everything, view was amazing and the staff checked in on us during our stay. We also got our room serviced which was nice. Check out was smooth as well, really happy with our stay :)

Great location easy access to all amenities and transport

There were a few patrons I feel could have handled themselves better and maybe the reception area could be better managed - there were 3 lines 3 receptionists I was waiting in line 3 and twice a person from line 1 raced in ahead of me to go to the first receptionist free because they had been waiting longer - 3 lines you pick a line you wait you don't barge in front of others and speak rudely to them about you being next - there should be only one line feeding the 3 receptionist if this was the case. The receptionist should be trained in this way as well instead of just accepting bad behavior.
