I spent 3 days in Helsinki and 2 days in Tallinn during my 5-day trip. First and foremost, let me assure you that transportation is not a concern. Tramway numbers 7 and 9 pass right in front of the hotel. If anyone is considering a trip to Tallinn, there can't be a better hotel. It's only 300 meters from Terminal 2. Make sure to take the Tallink brand ferry; other brands depart from different locations. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of high-quality food. You couldn't ask for more in a breakfast. The room is comfortable, the bed is cozy, and the bathroom is spacious and nice. I noticed there's a pool on the 16th floor, but I didn't have a chance to use it. For those who love it, it offers an excellent view and is warm : ) The hotel is about 1 km from the city center, but don't think of it as distant. You simply walk down a straight road from the center to reach the hotel. Heading south, every road leads to this hotel. It's a perfect hotel for travelers. On the first day, I bought a day ticket for 11 euros. I took tram number 7 from in front of the hotel to the center, then switched to numbers 2 and 3 in sequence. Don't bother with hop-on-hop-off; these two trams cover all of Helsinki. If you book a room on the upper floors of the hotel, you'll have a view of the entire city. I recommend the sea-facing rooms on the 11th floor and above. I stayed on the 11th floor. There's a bar on the 16th floor called Roof. It's a classy and beautiful venue. There's a DJ performance in the evening, I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel. The price-to-value ratio is excellent.

A really pretty hotel with an amazing view! Everything was clean and modern, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even able to get an early breakfast before our morning flight and we could buy the Helsinki card at the reception. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options! We also really enjoyed the location - only a short tram ride away from the city center and close to the ferry terminal for Sijla and Eckero.

We found the beds quite uncomfortable. The matrace was too soft and kept moving to the side every night which made it hard to fall asleep. Additionally, during one of the evenings the power went out completely in the whole hotel. While this was not the fault of the hotel staff, it was very uncomfortable and unsettling not knowing what was happening for two hours. The hotel phones were broken, the elevators as well and the only source of light was the emergency lighting in the hallways. It would be nice if there was an option to send out texts to the guests to inform them about the situation, or find another solution.

Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff, breakfast was excellent, and the view from the Sky Bar on the 16th Floor is worth a trip up. Tram no 7 outside and has you down to the city centre in about 15 mins but it's a nice walk too

sauna and pool closed the day before we arrived. we had paid extra for a hotel with pool and sauna, they had hoped to have it up and running (electrical issue was the reason given) but then we noticed on the main hotel website they gave a notification that it would be closed for 2 weeks for maintenance very disappointing. it's why I am giving an 8 and not a 10

Great rooms, excellent range of options and quality of food at breakfast, nice little sauna on site with a small pool and a great view from the penthouse bar.

The breakfast at the weekend has a time ticketed system for arrivals, we were forced to get up exceptionally early due to only limited time slots remaining available when we checked in which kind of ruined the set-up of our day as we were attending a wedding. What's worse is they don't check the tickets anyway (and actually don't even have enough tickets to issue all guests from what we could tell later into our stay from other wedding party guests) so we absolutely could have gone at our preferred time. Apart from this very irritating element of the breakfast we would thoroughly recommend it.

I had a really good experience staying at the Clarion Hotel Helsinki. The modern design and overall vibe of the place are amazing, and the rooftop pool and sauna were definite highlights for me. The views of the city and the sea from up there were absolutely stunning, definitely something I won’t forget.

The standard room I stayed in was quite small, which made it a bit tricky to organize my stuff, especially for a longer stay. Also, breakfast was a bit of a letdown—not the food, but the space. It got really crowded, and it felt a bit chaotic trying to find a spot and grab what I wanted. If they could work on those things, it would make the experience even better.

Modern, luxury, clean, great breakfast, nice chilled background music playing in the background and outside the hotel, fantastic harbour view, glass lifts.

Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed during my stay. I was told by reception that it was an electrical issue, so it was not the hotels fault. Beware- taxi drivers rip you off from the airport. The next driver in line said it would be done on the meter, when we asked for a price. Unfortunately the meter was rigged. It was a touch screen meter in a Tesla, so we hoped that it would be legitimate- however it wasn't. We were charged €105 for a journey that should have cost no more than €60, and given some excuses about different rates in the evening. The hotel said that unfortunately this is common occurance from the otherwise fantastic Helsinki airport.

The best bed & pillows I have ever slept on. I suffer with back pain & found my back was in less pain. The room was so cosy, great comfortable chairs to sit on. Although we did not use anything from the mini-bar it was fully stocked with a wide range of drinks & nibbles. Breakfast in the mornings was fantastic, the selection was huge, something for everyone, me being a Pescatarian I was more than happy. A big thankyou to the wonderful chef, I explained I was trying to lose weight & the scramble eggs were no good as made with cremè, he offered me an omelette,as it was made with oil he offered to prepare one just for me. The decor in the room & around the hotel was warm & had a homely feel about it. Top marks to the lovely young receptionist at the front desk who always had a smile on her face & was so helpful. The location was great, we were 15 minutes from the Ferry port & so close to the town. Helsinki has an outstanding transport system, Tram, Bus or Train. We never waited more than 10 minutes for any of the above, cheap clean & efficient.

Everything was perfect

The hotel is quite beautiful both on the outside and the inside. It is well-located, considering Helsinki's tram system. The breakfast is truly outstanding. The staff is very nice. The bar on the top floor looks great.

Our room was too small and crammed to qualify as comfortable (the bathroom was comfortable, though). The swimming pool is a major, major letdown: no bathrobes are provided by the hotel, and the pool is located on the top floor, with wonderful views, yes, but in an open-air space, which means that save during the Summer, you will most likely avoid it for fear of freezing to death... Making it a heated closed space would be a game-changing improvement.

The hotel staff were amazing. So helpful and customer focused. The rooms had a beautiful view. The swimming pool was lovely and relaxing and our 12 year old enjoyed it and the sauna of course. The sky bar was fab. The breakfast was wonderful and the location great. Near public transport, hop on and hop off or just to walk into city centre which we did.

There was nothing I did not like about the property at all. A few suggestions for improvement perhaps from our perspective. When we were there there was no chefs menu in the restaurant. This made the good choice limited in the evening - however what we had was very tasty. The only other thing was that after 8pm the sky bar was off limits for under 21s. This may be out of the hands of the hotel as suspect it is law, however it would have been nice to enjoy twilight view over the city as a family.
