AMAZING breakfast. Very good location, close to the train station and the city centre. Warm room, perfect for the very cold winter days.

Quite old-fashioned... My room was OK (especially for 2 nights), but overall the hotel would benefit from a renovation IMHO.

A big hotel in a walking distance from the train station. Close to the main monuments of the city and a couple of nice restaurants and bars. Friendly and helpful staff. Possibility to rent private sauna directly in the hotel for an hour (additional charge). Wonderful breakfast with various options (even my vegan friend was able to find something to eat there). Baggage storage at disposition. Nice and cozy room with reliable wifi.

There was not much storage space in the room, especially if you come in winter, nor a proper place to hang the coats. The bathroom a bit small, but manageable. Beds are too soft, but that's just a personal opinion. Since the hotel is big, it was a bit of a labyrinth and some rooms are quite far from the elevator/stairs.

Staff were simply excellent. Arrived late plane late rang, no issue. Very accommodating offering advise best way and cheapest way to hotel. Also, I making me aware flat rate taxi and became full as some taxis very very expensive. Standard twin was small but only fir couple of days then when we came back from seeing Santa we ordered bigger room and this was soooo good breay included and was fantastic choice but be aware can abd was really busy. Location wow woe only 5 minutes walk to central station and to shops. Supermarket on corner 1 minute away. Beds linen excellent... maybe

As I said above the standard twin room small so suggest next level. Could have 50 or more in big room. Pity there is no laundry self serve in or close by. Washed in bath room and all dried overnight . Maybe liqid soap dispensers could be filled more but look overall it us great staff so polite helpful brilliant you won't regret this booking

The hotel is located very centrally and is very clean, simple and serves versatile breakfast (fairly vegan-friendly, which I appreciate). The employees are incredibly helpful and made sure to cater to our specific requirements concerning billing and issuing of the bill (thank you Jenna)!

The only downside of my stay was that my colleague and I were accommodated in what seemed like a very small small wing, added only after the main facilities of the hotel had been built. The hallway and the room itself were quite tight and the room did not have a closet -- we couldn't properly unpack and store our clothes due to this, using a nightstand and a chair instead. We anyway did not spend much time in the room, so this was not too big of an issue. Plus none of my other coworkers had this problem and we were all situated in the same hotel. I would expect a room for two to take this into account but it indeed seems like an unlucky outlier.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to most of destinations within central Helsinki. Also the metro station is a short walk away to reach more faraway places. The breakfast is decent and there's plenty of room also during the rush hour. The size of the superior room is also above average in Helsinki.

The hotel is a bit worn and the technology is basic - with TV one needs to find the over-the-air channels to see anything as the cable channels offered first do not work. There's kettle available, but no glasses nor tea or coffee even in the superior room. No bath, but big enough shower.

Location: perfect! 10min walk from train station (direct train from airport), and 3min walk to tram-stop to go to the Viking Ferry terminal. Close to everything to see in Helsinki which is a very walkable city; of course, there are still things to see nearby that require a car or bus ride, e.g., parks. Mini-fridge in first room did not work, so I was moved to another room that was a bit bigger, with a much bigger "handicapped" bathroom! Loved it. Quiet: though the hotel is really downtown, it's at the corner of two very short streets with almost no traffic; plus the windows are double-paned - can't hear a thing from the outside. Staff: the best! Very friendly, always making time to help me with details (e.g., tram schedule). Breakfast included: good selection savory/sweet, and awesome breads! Very efficient staff at clearing the tables, hence no need to wait for a table. 3 elevators!! Did not have to wait long any time.

Hallways are a bit tired - old carpeting; odd smell in the hallways, but not in the rooms. AC is not controllable in the room: it's ON 7a-10p and quite comfortable; off at night, but it did not get hot in the room.

Very good location. Close to the central rail station and within very easy walking distance to the cathedral, harbour, xmas markets, and Kamppi bus station. Good breakfast with a wide selection of hot/cold foods. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Twin room was small but manageable. Shower was always hot.

No room safe. No products other than hand/shower wash & the containers were IMPOSSIBLE to squeeze to extract the soap. They need to be changed to a more flexible type. The scrambled eggs made on powdered eggs. No bacon.

We booked a superior room and found it to be very spacious.. twin sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and desk and chair, beds etc.. didn't really need this as we were only staying 1 night but the basic rooms looked small in the photos. The room had tea/ coffee making ability, a tv and a desk fan was in the wardrobe along with extra pillows if needed. The staff were very friendly and the location is 2 minutes from a tram stop and 5 mins walk to the main square. The harbour is an easy 15min walk also. There is locked luggage storage facilities available which proved handy as our room wasn't available on check in. The breakfast was as expected, continental style. The hotel is good value for money.

The bathroom had a step up into it and was more of a wet room the layout of which was quite strange. It meant the floor got wer near the door and you had to walk the whole way into the wet room.past the shower to get to the toilet. These could definately do with an upgrade. Also there is a small desktop fan provided which was totally inadequate for the room size.

By far the best thing about this hotel is its excellent location and superb transport links. It's less than 10 minutes walk from Helsinki's iconic Art Nouveau railway station, just by a tram stop, close to a Metro station and within walking distance of several main bus stops (one on each side of the railway station as well as the major bus terminus beneath the Kamppi shopping centre). It's also a short stroll from the Ateneum art gallery. The buffet breakfast is generous and offers a good selection of options. The room was clean and functional, if dated. Good luggage storage facilities. Overall it's good value for money.

I visited in late June and found my room extremely hot and stuffy. There is no air conditioning and the windows can only be opened to a limited degree, so there's no way of gaining relief other than taking a shower. Thank goodness I didn't visit the previous week, when there was a heatwave, as it would have been insufferable. The hotel interior decor is dated and could do with a face lift. The curtains in particular could do with being replaced, as do the beds and pillows, which aren't the most comfortable.

The curtains could not be be drawn and so daylight was so strong in the room. The bathroom floor was always wet due to how the shower is situated and wet floor towels were left unchanged.
