Excellent location as it is right above the metro station (University of Helsinki station - Tokmanni store exit) and within walking distance from the central railway station (1 metro stop between railway station and Bob W City Centre). The kitchen allowed us to prepare simple meals when we wanted to cook. The washing machine cum dryer (and laundry tablets) gave us the option to wash our clothings during our 6-night stay. The online reception was very responsive. The breakfast at Fazer Cafe opposite the building was convenient.

The cafe didn't allow the option to choose the pastries such as cinnamon croissants which are cheaper than the breakfast selections. By the way, a soup ladle in the kitchen would be helpful.

The apartment itself was beautiful, clean and spacious with modern Scandinavian interior design and decorations. However, what truly made my Bob W stay a perfect 10 is the phone support I received at 6 am after our office Christmas party. There are apparently two different Bob W locations within about a block of each other. In my post-party state I was not paying close enough attention and blindly followed Google Maps. When the code for the door didn't work, I called the support line and an incredibly patient and kind staff member did all he could to ensure I got to my apartment safely. It took us 2 calls and about 45 minutes, but I eventually made it to my apartment and got some great and much-needed sleep.

If I have to find something to complain about, I suppose the view towards a building that had some construction work being done on it wasn't very scenic. However, that's a temporary situation and out of the hands of the property owners.

Bob W City Centre was good once I got over my initial disappointment*. The location is good and we felt safe walking around at night. We found some lovely restaurants close by for dinner and cafes for breakfast. The apartment has everything you needed and it is comfortable and spacious.

*The apartment looks like its in a lovely old building (from the photos) but it really is a refurbished office building. I was imagining a lovely old world apartment in the city which it is not. Our apartment 501 looked out onto buildings and we had to keep our curtains shut the whole time. It also would have been nice to have had 2 full bathrooms for a 3 bedroom apartment. Please fix the sensor lights outside the bedrooms they stay on for at least 1/2 hour which is 25 minutes toooo long. : )

The bad points were that the central heating system was difficult to adjust, so the room was cold, and the sauna was broken, so it never got hot and I couldn't use it. Also, the seagulls were loud. I chose this hotel because it had a private sauna, so it was a shame that I couldn't use it. The good points were that I chose the breakfast included, and the designated cafe was very delicious, so I was able to have a satisfying breakfast. Also, the facilities were well-equipped and it was very clean. The electrical appliances were all new and easy to use.

The apartment was excellent overall. Had all the specific amenities/things we wanted including aircon, easy to use washing machine with a good dryer, microwave, outdoor seating area, good luggage storage, etc. all or some of which which we didn't find in other (non-Bob W) apartments we stayed at in nearby Nordic countries. The location is very central and conveniently located. The app/website and WhatsApp with all the information was very easy to use and the staff was very prompt and helpful. We will definitely look out for more of their apartments in our future travels.

Not a lot of choices.

Property needed a few repairs, drain in bathroom smelly light bulbs out a furniture needed tightened up.

The location is great, being close to the train station and supermarket. The kitchen and bathroom are well equipped with almost everything you need. Also, Daisy, one member of the staff that we met in the apartment was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with portable heaters when the heating system was not working.

The apartment didn’t have the central heating system on. People from warmer countries may feel cold at night. Also, when we tried to contact the customer service, we usually got AI reply, which was frustrating. Besides, some parts of the floor in the bedroom and living room were either lifted up or broken. the doors of the bedroom and bathroom need to be fixed to close properly.

Clean, main bed very comfortable, great location, great washer dryer, good dishwasher, provided dishwasher tablets and laundry soap. Nice minimal modern decor.

1st problem was the sofa bed was too saggy so we had to put the mattress on the floor which was much better. 2nd problem is that they did not reply to messages sent via Booking. com or email despite claiming that they would be very responsive to replace having an on-site concierge. To be fair they did offer WhatsApp for emergencies and I think they would have replied to WhatsApp, but I did not think my query was urgent enough.

There aren't enough words to describe how outstanding our stay was! We had arrived at around 6AM in Helsinkin from Singapore, and went straight to the sauna! It was everything we never knew we wanted! We had two bookings, and the team was able to link them, all via Whatsapp, incredibly responsive. I wanna go back!!!

It'd have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom. Not a deal breaker, but fighting jet lag in bed is made easier with some background noise.

Location was good, as it was right above a metro station. A passcode was provided for access and there wasn't any physical interaction required. We could leave our luggage before check in and after check out so it made it really convenient for us.

There is a small flight of stairs (about 3 to 4 steps) to reach the lift which was not very convenient for our pram and luggages. We had a small scare when we couldn't open the door to the luggage storage but the staff replied to our texts very promptly and managed to help us retrieve our luggages.
