It’s a pretty nice property. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I would stay here again.

The receptionist at the front desk was very unfriendly. I would say she is mismatched in her position. Daniello the desk manager is terrific and manages the desk with apblom.  Otherwise, the rest of the staff were really fine .

Great location especially on the weekend as the major road to the front becomes pedestrianised. Close to the old town but not in it so avoided the seedier aspects. Cafe tables and a piano on the road made for a lovely vibe. . The shower was good. The rooms were spacious. The hotel has character. Fun gold mirrored lifts with opulent carpets. Breakfast was good and the staff were kind. Aircon was great and very necessary in August. Beds were super comfortable. I would stay here again.

Shower not bath in apartment 414 where the shower had orange staining in the corners. I could hear traffic from the road. 409 had warm rather than hot water. The waiter at dinner objected to us carrying small water bottles. I pointed out that we had come straight in from walking and it was 38 degrees. We had planned to order more water and did so and it was fine but it felt petty and I suppose that we aren't used to being told off publicly these days!

There were cockroaches in our room which is number 110.Although we complained about it to reception, they have not done anything for that.

Unfortunately the Calea Victoriei is used during the night to show off the muscle cars during the night. So there is a lot of noise of roaring motors of overpowered cars. No chance to sleep with open windows, not during the week nor during weekends...

The location of the Capitol Hotel is great, in the old town and handy to all the attractions in that area Breakfast was more than adequate and held in an old-fashioned room that was most interesting John was on reception when we arrived after a long-haul flight and he could see we needed our room sooner rather than later, this was organized even though it wasn't check in time. He was most helpful throughout our stay, and we were most appreciative of this. There is also a cafe attached to the hotel where you can have a meal or just have a drink in

I recently had the pleasure of staying again at the Capitol Hotel during my visit to Bucharest, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel's location is fantastic, situated in the heart of Bucharest, making exploring the city's attractions convenient. The exterior exudes a classic charm that sets the tone for the entire stay. Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lobby was elegantly decorated, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient, thanks to the friendly and professional staff. The room I stayed in was nothing short of excellent. Cleanliness is a top priority at Capitol Hotel, and it showed in every corner of the well-appointed room. The comfortable bed, tasteful decor, and modern amenities contributed to a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay. Enthralled by the captivating ambiance, impeccable service, and prime location of the Capitol Hotel in Bucharest, I'm already anticipating my return for another delightful stay.

Perfect location to explore the most beautiful parts of the city. High quality room cleaning. Decent breakfasts and an overall OK restaurant to have lunch/dinner right at the spot. We were also given a kind opportunity to borrow a pair of umbrellas on a rainy day.

It is way too hot in the rooms, even when it was +5°C outside. Air conditioning doesn’t solve the issue; had to sleep for 5 days straight with an open window facing a crowded 4-lane road. It can also get quite loud on the weekends due to an abundance of night clubs in the area.

We chose the hotel for its central location and parking at a relatively decent price (10 euros/day). The rooms are rather on the small side, but they were clean and warm. In the room, we had a mini-bar, as well as a coffee maker and a kettle. The breakfast was good and the personnel were polite and helpful. The hotel has three elevators and, thus, although it was pretty crowded, we never had to wait too long for it.

The TV is very small and has a very limited number of channels. Also, the room is pretty dark, in spite of the fact that it had 4 lighting sources, distributed througout the room.

We had a really nice room with lounge area and a second toilet. The breakfast was very good and there was a wide selection of hot and cold food which was more than enough to set us up for the day. Morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine sat outside on Calea Victoriei people watching is recommended! Pleasantly surprised with the bar costs

I was a bit surprised that the bar closed at 10.00pm. We arrived late just after 9.00, and after checking in I was looking forward to a beer. Mini-bar it was then!
