The Staff very friendly, very helpful and welcoming during the stay. Enjoyed the nice facilities in the room and definitely everything anyone will need in a hotel room and experience. Location great as near or near by short taxi ride of which was a plus. Cleaning of the room was very good too as genuinely spotless in many areas. I asked for top floor room of which was supplied, so cannot fault that as good customer service. Definitely stay there again as we have before anyway. Breakfast hot and continental was quite a nice selection, nice taste and good value.

Only few faults was that the sink didn't empty quickly and water took a lot of time to disappear. Bed and pillows were a tad lumpy and dipped slightly in middle, so not great comfort wise but did sleep and settle eventually and some hours of sleep. So cannot say it was totally a big issue. So that why I did a 8/10 stay.

It was ideal for location, lovely room and the food was delicious.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable some of the pillows were lumpy. On entry there was no indication of where the checking in desk was, it took ages for someone to come to the desk for me to check in so I could go to my room. Also I was unaware of the parking charge until my arrival as the booking.com stated "parking" but never mentioned you had to pay.

The staff are always helpful and friendly,there is always plenty of tea,coffee etc in your rooms replenished daily plus clean towels daily and rubbish removed daily. Complimentary breakfast is very welcome and something for all tastes. It is next to the train station and close proximity to grimsby centre and Freshney place.

We were on level 1 this stay previous stays we have been on the top floor. This stay we noticed very bad creaky floors that we did not notice on the higher level. Beds were too soft for us but comfy enough just sank into them a bit too much for our taste.

The fact that secure and affordable parking is available is an absolute bonus. The train station is next door if you decide to leave the car at home or for none car owners. The hotel is spacious, clean and the staff were very approachable. Breakfast was good, plentiful and good quality ingredients. We booked disabled access room and it is one of the best we have ever had In similar types of hotel, very spacious. Small local shop close by, Indian restaurant opposite and gastropub a couple of minutes walk away and taxi rank outside of the railway station. When visiting Grimsby again, it will be our 1st choice hotel.

A few more teabags in the room would have been nice but not really a negative.

We stayed in 3 different hotels whilst visiting the UK. Our stay at the Holiday Inn was longer than our other 2 stays combined. Holiday Inn was the cleanest with the friendliest staff and the best organized regarding breakfast. The location to grimsby down town centre was perfect and the rooms were quiet other than the squeaky floors but no external noises.The breakfasts were tasty and fresh with a good variety of options. I will stay there on my next visit

We have stayed here in a modern hotel numerous times. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Eg, we have borrowed fans on hot days in the past. This time we borrowed 2 bowls to eat strawberries that we had bought. The hotel accept pets which is key for us. We have a cute dog. Rooms are clean. The bed comfortable. Breakfasts have enough variety to satisfy most people. Car parking is an extra cost. Essential to pay each time you exit the car park. Location is very central. Right next to the railway station. Shopping centre nearby. Hotel meals are ok. Opposite hotel is Vittles. A small coffee bar serving good meals and beers. Long opening hours.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful - I have food allergies and the desk and kitchen staff volunteered to find out about the menu and inform me what I could eat and cater for me. And when I found I’d left my charger at home, they lent me one from lost property, which was a sanity saver. Room was comfortable and clean, had everything we needed (including Dove cosmetics in the bathroom).

Apparently new shower trays are on order for some bathrooms, as they look a bit dirty under the bright lights. Everything otherwise looked spotless.

We broke down in grimsby and was stuck in the jet garage for over 5 hrs before AA told us too book a hotel through booking.com and wasnt expecting what we recieved for the 100£ we paid.. its was very clean the room was cery comfortable and thw stafd was very helpful and simperfetic to our problem but all in all we was chuffed with what we recieved and will stay again if we get strandered anytime soon Thank you to all the staff that helped us and gave us the warmest welcomebreakfast was unbelieveable and our 3 year old had a good selection 2... Recommended 100% Thanx guys

Nothing not to like

The staff were all very friendly from checking in to checkout. Unfortunately we missed breakfast due to consuming too much alcohol the day/night before at a festival, so can not rate the food on this occasion. Location was good, and paying for parking was very easy via the machine. a room was ready for an early check in which was great and an added bonus once we arrived as it saved hanging around. Our room was clean with no issues.

The hotel was so clean and looked after. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely and the shower was hot and powerful. The toiletries were excellent quality. Amazing breakfast, so much choice.

The bed felt too solid for me. I like the firmness, but there wasn't a soft topper on the mattress. My husband didn't mind it though, so I suppose it's personal preference.
