Superb hotel. Just off the motorway but no noise. Clean, efficient check in. Free car parking. Decentish breakfast included in the price. Comfy beds. What makes staying in this particular hotel a pleasure is the attitude of the staff. Each of the staff members we dealt with was helpful and friendly. This type of welcome makes a huge difference after travelling a long distance. Extra shout out to Bradley please. Looking resplendent in Christmas attire when we arrived, chatty and efficient and even lent me his own phone charger. A hero.

At the price, it’s pretty good.

My room and the bar area were exceptionally clean and tidy. Breakfast was plentiful, tasted amazing and it was served by very helpful and friendly staff. The beers at the bar were reasonably priced and there was a good selection. The guy serving us on both nights was a young lad called Geo. I have to say he was so polite, friendly and a real pleasure to talk to. He does the hotel proud. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If he were working for me he would be in line for a big pay rise.

Could not find fault with anything. Job well done.

Ideal for our circumstances. Friendliness of staff notable from arrival immediately and was matched by everyone else. Great breakfast, and car parking make this place a bargain. Everywhere else that’s another £25. Right off the motorway but no noise. You can get an Uber within 5 mins. You’d need a reason to stay there if it wasn’t for a motorway convenient stopover. There isn’t a huge amount to see in Walsall. Except, the Leather Museum, which is free and brilliant!

Bit of a long shot, but a fridge in the room would have been a bonus. They gave us an ice bucket though.

Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice.

The only issue we had was initial finding the HolidayInn. This was our first visit to the area for the horse racing at Wolverhampton. There was 2 post codes on the information I received. The first postcode I used did not take us to the right place. Coming off the big roundabout off the M6 you then have to fairly quickly get across to the right to take the turning into the road leading to the Holiday Inn. If you miss the turning it is quite difficult to turn around to get to the other side of the road. .

The room was comfortable. Good lighting in the shower room. Loved the breakfast. The staff were friendly, especially those working in the dining area. I would be happy to stay here again.

I was woken up at 5am by an alarm from the adjoining room. It continued for a solid 15 minutes which meant I couldn't get back to sleep. I tried calling reception twice, to see if someone could knock on the door to ask that the alarm got turned off. However, no-one answered the phone. The alarm finally stopped, but it was already too late for me to fall back to sleep.

Upon arrival the reception greeted us with a smile. The lady at the reception is on her training and she’s doing good already. She was nice and accommodating. The room size was a bit small compare to our friend’s room who has bigger space. Just a little bit unfair as we paid more than them, it’s nice to have a similar size. Love the tea and coffee in the room especially the kettle looks clean and brand new but unfortunately the milk was expired but didn’t mention it at the reception. Overall satisfied in the room. The hotel was very good with toddlers and very accommodating. Coffee and teas are complimentary at the lounge which is very nice.

Great location for our needs. Clean and quiet during our stay. Speedy check in (unless other guests forget their own name on the booking!) and speedy check out. A lift inside is handy.

Parking is ample, there is underground parking but seemingly no way to get into the hotel from the underground car park, which meant steps carrying bags or a long walk around the car park. Breakfast was passable, get their early to avoid shortages. Drinks substandard. Major issue is they only provide one room card key, which also operate the lighting (by inserting in the room), and is needed to access the lift, so if you need to go to the car or elsewhere then your partner will be sitting in the dark because you’ll need to take the key card out of the light ‘switch’! Solution: two key cards!

We checked in quite late but was easy and efficient. Room clean, comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was just what we needed - the pancakes were a nice additional touch. The receptionist at check out was equally as helpful when asking for some information

nothing - very good value for money. We come to this area frequently and have been staying at the adjacent hotel which is much more expensive and no where near as welcoming - so we will be booking here in future.

Hotel was fiine, rooms were large and comfortable.

The food was extremely poor. Checked the menu on website before booking but on arrival at the hotel found that there was a very limited menu and a vastly reduced choice of food. Every meal could habe been cooked in a microwave and was extremely poor quality. Breakfast was probably the worst I have ever had in any hotel. Tiny plates, no fried eggs ( powdered scrambled eggs only ) bacon and sausages cold. Good choice of cereal etc. but hot food was not good. Hotel itself was very good and the staff were excellent but get the feeling they didn't have a chef and anybody at all could have made the meals with a microwave.

Reception staff member got me a room, last minute and couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was acceptable, brought quickly and reasonably priced. Food/bar staff were also friendly. Room was spotless and has air con. Easy location for work travel. Very little noise from M6 traffic, despite facing junction 10.

Bathrooms are well designed but small. Kept banging my foot on the shower tray which for some unfathomable reason has a very high frame.
