Polite friendly staff with great customer service. The restaurant serves excellent food with a good choice. The spa is good with the best steam room ever. When we mentioned it was our anniversary they made such an effort to make it special. Familiar faces of staff members who made the stay as we remembered it. Yvonne on reception, Bal and Lisa were also brilliant in the restaurant. Cannot wait to stay again.

The jacuzzi was not working in the spa. The room didn't have a phone to contact reception about the room being a little cold so had to walk to reception. Our concern was rectified immediately though.

I initially booked a room in a well know hotel who shall remain nameless. But it rhymes with Premier Inn…. They called me the night before to say my room was no longer available and moved me to another hotel 10 miles away. The extra cost factoring my reason for stay was not feasible so I cancelled. I came on and quickly found this hotel. The price was right. The location was actually slightly better. On arrival - easy to find, parking plentiful, staff all very polite and attentive. Check in was 3pm, we arrived early at 1:30. Room was ready no question. Checked in within minutes. We had a small double room. But we were only using the room to freshen up before going out for the day / evening. Then come back and sleep, before showering and leaving first thing, so really what more do you need? I wish I’d found this hotel first time round.

The lager in the bar wasn’t great. I work in the pub industry and know the difference between good and bad beer. It wasn’t that important in the scheme of things however.

The check-in host was very helpful and was genuinely interested in my day before check-in. She helped with all my queries very quickly. Most the other staff were also lovely. Breakfast was nice, but compared to other hotels was a little expensive for what you could get.

My check-out was at 12, but I had a cleaning lady knock on my door at 11:30 and I said I wasn’t quite ready (I was getting dressed). I left at 11:50, and she was standing outside the room clearly waiting for me to leave. She seemed polite and smiled, but it made me feel anxious and rushed. She could have come back or cleaned another room that was empty first, instead of making me feel like I was being timed! Also, the bathroom looked lovely and clean, however you could smell damp very strongly.

The room was lovely and nicely decorated, huge TV and coffee facilities, comfortable bed and a bathroom with a nice shower with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel so no need to bring your own(you do need a wash scrunchie though) plenty of towels. The complementary dog treats and balls, bowls and bed where a lovely extra touch.I didn't need to use the dog bed/mat or bowls but the dog enjoyed the treats and balls. The staff were exceptional and we're fantastic help when my dog got sick and needed emergency vets for intensive care.If it wasn't for the help of the reception staff I don't think my dog would have made it. They found me an emergency vet very close to the hotel quickly and called me a taxi driver to get there. They were so concerned about my little dog and wanted to check he was ok.They also spoilt my other dog with more treats and effection while my little dog was on oxygen fighting for his life at the vet.The reception staff even asked me to let them know that both dogs and myself got home safe after the little dog recovered enough for the journey home. The restaurant staff were wonderful too when I got down late for breakfast due to being at the vet all night and morning they let me have breakfast in the restaurant while they set up for lunch and I didn't get rushed either.fantastic friendly staff.

Unfortunately I do have to add a comment in this box . The grass areas around the car park did have a lot of dog poop around but it isn't the hotel's fault at all. it's down to the irresponsible dog owners not picking up their dogs poo. I can't believe that we are lucky enough to have a wonderful hotel that caters for dogs and irresponsible owners let everyone down by not picking up their dogs poo and disposing of it. It's so frustrating as it's easily picked up and you can place it down the toilet to dispose of. Also the swimming pool was in a separate building in the carpark,it would have been nice if it was attached to the hotel so you could just walk down to the pool in your costume but it's not a great problem. Also would be nice to have some sort of unit to place your suitcase.

The rooms were nice and very comfortable. We received exceptional service in the restaurant. The hotel is clean, and i felt comfortable for my toddler to roll around on the floor. The food was really tasty, too. Check in very quick and easy. The staff are really lovely and friendly. Thank you for finding the phone we lost to whoever was working on the front desk sorry i didn't catch your name. We were late for breakfast and they waited for us to get food first before putting it away 😊😊

The pool area could have been cleaner, the floors felt dirty when i was walking around them and in the pool they were what looked like chlorine granules on the edges of the baby pool (inside the pool by the stairs) that had not dissolved properly and were turning green, my child picked them up. Otherwise loved the quietness of it all

The staff are out and out the best asset this hotel has - all of the staff (especially the restaurant staff both at breakfast and dinner) were outstanding, friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately one night there was a very loud party in one of the conference rooms. Music was switched off at midnight but before that the bass made my room vibrate. I was working the next day too. I mentioned this in a Whatsapp message to the hotel front desk. Surely there is some way of limiting the volume of music at functions?

Breakfast was lovely, except fried eggs, but probably my fault as I am usually 8ish rather than 6.30am. I'm fine with scrambled so no biggie. .. everything else was perfect. Beds very comfy and clean. Rooms were adequate in size. Good in every other aspect Loved the pool. Especially the baby toddler lessons to watch whilst in the jacuzzi very heart warming to see good young mums talking to their little ones expecially

Size of room, but fine for two people for a couple of nights

The hotel was very clean with really interesting decor. The beds were amazing. Soooo comfortable, but the pillows were not! Pillows could be a lot better. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch. The buffet breakfast was great with great choices and super fresh.

The disabled ramp from the parking to the reception entrance was far to steep, needed sweeping and the moss should be cleaned off to prevent it from being slippery. Pillows need improvement.

it was dog friendly it was reasonably close to West Bromwich where I was attending an event. Room was comfortable. Reception staff were helpful. and restaurant staff were very nice.

the security staff sitting at the end of every corridor was very off putting. i felt like i was in prison / being scrutinised constantly. get some damned security cameras for goodness sake! The rabbit warren layout was frustrating having to go back and forth,up and down to get to reception, restaurant and exit. I’m sure ONE of the many exit doors could have a card controlled entry from outside.

Good location for what we needed. Clean and tidy.

Think £80 should include breakfast. Parking should be free for guests too. Bath is very slippery and unable to move screen due to bath handles and close proximity of sink unit and no shower mat. My partner slipped over trying to get out and now has a lovely bruise on the back of her leg where she hit the bath. Raised it to reception on leaving bit didn’t get anything as a gesture of goodwill. Older people would struggle getting out.
