Pretty hotel with nice gardens, lots of thoughtful touches and a very lovely breakfast. welcoming staff. Luxurious bathroom. Comfortable sofa bed for the children.
plants growing through the stairs made it difficult to use the railing on that side, which while it looks pretty is not great for accessibility. Jacuzzi use incurred a fee - I think this feels wrong to make this chargeable considering the price of the room, I doubt anyone uses it much, we saw no one in it during our time there. would be better not to have it if you are going to charge, or offer a session as a ‘bonus’ with booking.

We stayed in the two bed villa. Beautifully decorated, with every need catered for. It is a very comfortable, tasteful and a place that was so easy to relax in. Gorgeous garden with lots of interesting nooks and crannies. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended as a place to stay.
Breakfast was a good selection of cold and a few hot options. A little overpriced in my opinion at €16 p.p. When we arrived we booked a slot in the glasshouse for breakfast at 9 the next morning. The following morning we got a call at 8.40 to say it was very busy ant breakfast and could we come at 9.15 instead. We had a tour booked that morning so we couldn’t eat any later. They proposed that they might bring breakfast to the villa instead which we were fine with. They rang back 10 mins later to say we could come to the glasshouse as planned. When we arrived there were quite a few empty tables which was a bit confusing. Small niggles in an overall excellent experience.

This was an overnight stop on the way to the Brittany coast further south. The property consists of the main building, a villa with more rooms in the garden, and a beautiful little house behind the hotel proper, which is where we stayed. It was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a sitting room (kettle and excellent tea and herbal tea bags ans. Lack coffee) and bathroom downstairs (bath and separate shower, shower very good) and separate toilet, and two smallish bedrooms upstairs, the first with a double bed and the second with two single beds squeezed in in an L-shape. Velux windows. In a park setting, lot of birdsong and flowers in July. No restaurant, but good options in Avranches centre, a few minutes drive or half an hour walk. Breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the gardens, of very high quality, the usual cereals, excellent selection of bread and jams as well as cheese, ham etc. Plenty of parking. Would definitely return.
Nothing really. When booking on the internet I found it difficult to see exactly what was included in the little house so have tried to be more precise, we were only two people but needed two rooms, and this served the purpose - but if booking it for more people please be aware that the second of the single beds is tucked right into the corner where the roof comes down, maybe best for children or smaller adults. But also beware for young children or less able-bodied adults, the stairs are windy, not the sort you can hurry down!! If that isn’t suitable for you then try the main building or villa.

The location was perfect, just a short drive from Mont Sain-Michel. We loved the gated parking,as we needed to park securely, it gave the hotel a magical feel like a castle. I personally adored the building, with beautifully curated garden and the exquisite French decorated rooms. We stayed in the room Eglantine, adorable and spacious for the four of us. The receptionist was so helpful as it gave us lots of tips on where to watch the perfect sunset, which we did, local restaurants and to view the Mont Saint-Michel. The breakfast was not included in our price but was plentiful and varied. I would definitely recommend and surely I will visit again. Thank you from all of us for making our stay memorable.
The breakfast was a bit pricey.

We booked the suite, which was a little cottage in the grounds, with a very nice living area and a terrace with table and chairs. There are shutters on the bedroom (roof) windows, so you can properly darken the rooms. The location is on the outskirts but there was a bakery in walking distance. We had limited need to interact with staff but they were very nice. About 20 minutes or so from Mont St. Michel which made it convenient for us.
Some of the beds were a little bit hard - this may be personal preference. A mini-fridge would be handy when travelling with a family, or just to store milk for tea/coffee.

Our room was beautifully decorated: full of light. the bathroom was fully equipped with a great shower with alternative overhead and hand held as well as water outlets at body height. very luxurious. we really enjoyed the Bar Area where wines were available by the glass and a wonderful cheese and charcuterie platter prepared for us. this was a great find - close enough to mont st Michelle that we popped back later in the day to watch the tides but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy the serenity of the French countryside

following a night on mont st michel we decided to stay at avranche which is a lovely little town. the hotel is situated about a five min drive away. the hotel is really comfortable. the only drawback is they don’t provide any food other than a buffet breakfast . I can recommend a lovely 17th century coach house called la croix d’or in the town centre . great ambience and great food

We stayed there for 1 night in the nearby house on our way to the coast of Normandy. The car was parked near the building. The house is very spacious en nice, perfect for a family with children. The breakfast was very good, French oriented. Nice garden also.
We expected to enjoy our dinner on the same location. It was not possible so we have got some restaurant recommendations in the town center from the nice lady from the reception.

Charming, the rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean
Location on busy road. Hotel does not do dinner and no chance of a taxi meant driving to find somewhere to eat. Also bar in hotel closed at 10pm
