It as perfect for an overnight stay between trains. It is directly opposite the station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a lift so the second floor wasn’t a problem. The building is really lovely, clean and well maintained. There are several bars and restaurants nearby and the centre of town is not far away if you have time to explore.

It wasn’t a major problem as I was only there one night but if you’re a light sleeper I would ask for a room away from the front of the building. There’s a bus station and tram stops as well as the trains so it was quite noisy.

The hotel his extremely well located for ease of travel - there are rail, tram and bus services right outside the hotel, so travel to the city centre or further afield is very convenient. I had not planned on taking breakfast in the hotel but, having tried it on my first morning, I had breakfast there for the rest of my stay - the food on offer was of typical continental style and of good quality. The breakfast experience itself was a very pleasant and calm way to start the day. Above all the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful, friendly and efficient.

A minor thing - the opening and closing of a squeaky door of the neighbouring room, combined with many exits and entrances after 11 pm, was an issue for one night only. But I appreciate that the disturbance was largely due to the behaviour of the individual concerned. The other nights were without incident

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Regina. It is right opposite the train station and the square has a pleasant buzz about it. I found the area absolutely fine, with some lovely streets surrounding the hotel. The hotel was immediately welcoming, with friendly and professional staff. The room I had was very clean, and had a bright and airy feel thanks to the white and pastel walls. The bed was comfortable too. I would immediately choose to stay here again if I were staying in Bordeaux. The tram can take you to the busiest parts of the city within 10 minutes, and yet this area feels part of the main city too and you could walk to the same places. Thanks for a lovely stay... I felt like I was returning home whenever I came back to the hotel, and that's always a good measure of a hotel.

Nothing was not to like. There weren't facilities to make tea etc but I can see how this would put the price up when such things are available nearby.

Excellent location, friendly staff, the room was plenty big enough and the bed was comfortable, the noise of the trams and trains wasn’t intrusive at all even with the window open.

The shower didn’t drain very fast and quickly pooled and could have overflowed if you took too long, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up and had to be propped up with the toilet brush holder and only one spare pillow although reception quickly got me a a second spare.

Location next to railway station is great. Shuttle bus to/from airport stops in station forecourt Also tram on doorstep. Several restaurants near by , and mini supermarkets Staff were really nice. Has a small but pleasant outside space, as well as seating off the lobby. Our room was spacious

The plus of the area ( near station) means it's not the best part of Bordeaux. However old part of city & many attractions arr only a few tram stops away.

The room was quite small and simple, but I was there just to sleep, so it was perfect. The room and bathroom was clean. The bed was not very comfortable, and if I have travelled with my boyfriend it would be a bit small for us two. The position is good for those who arriving by train, but it is not very close to the city centre, though for me it was okay to do 30 min walk.

It didn't have any fridge in the room and no soap/shampoo kit.

characterful old hotel located opposite the rail station. we had room 23 which was a suite with spacious bedroom (big bed), bathroom and separate sitting area with sofa, desk, tv, kettle. it was newly redecorated and although very simply furnished was bright and clean. It was very quiet and we slept well. Staff were really lovely - welcoming and friendly.Breakfast was typical of French hotels - a little basic.

Limited breakfast choices.

Le Regina Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean is perfectly located just about three minutes' stroll opposite the St Jean train station, perfectly located for travelers just arriving or set to leave Bordeaux by train, and is serviced by the city's principal tram lines. The room had a fine view of the station, but was remarkably quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, and our room was a very good size by French standards.

The hotel does not have exercise facilities.

Room11 in Hotel Regina Bourdeaux is a spacious room with two large windows (it is posible to sunbathe in the afternoon lying on the bed)👍 It has a large comfortable bed a good AC system, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, a kettle, a fridge. The bathroom is spacious with a jacuzzi bath. It's really a relaxing room with no noise or intruptions.Perfect for our four-night stay. (€554,=€ 69.25/pp/day Our breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, croissants, cereals, coffee, fruit & Our breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, croissants, cereals, coffee, fruit & yogurts, well presented in a lovely setting. (€10.50 / day ) It was presented in a lovely setting. (€10.50 / day ) The best part for us Irish couple is we flew from Cork Airport, Ireland to Bordeaux Airport on a Ryanair flight: 19:25 pm -22:10 pm (€30 each, one way) We took Tram  A  destined for La Ggardette or Dravemont. We switched at Porte de Bourgogne ( just walk across the tracks) and could take Tram D or C to Gare de St Jean Bourdeaux train station (a central hub) for the price of €1.70 each) We walked 50 M to the Hotel Regina.  The building has character and a sense of history and longevity. We are conscious of our carbon footprint and try to live within planetary limits. Our stay at Hotel Regina centred around the proximity to low-carbon modes of transport and the owner's ethos of sustainability and affordability. The staff at the hotel are welcoming, accommodating, and approachable, and they make our stay in Bordeaux very enjoyable. We rate room 11 and Hotel Regina Bourdeaux: 5 out of 5. Jerry & Eileen .

Nothing to report.

We were hugely impressed with La Regina. The professional care and attention of the staff towards customers is exceptional and that was evident from our early communications with them to the moment we left. The room was large and like the rest of the hotel was immaculate and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was really good - a great buffet all presented well and attended superbly too. Our particular thanks to the reception staff who are outstanding. We recommend this hotel very highly - it offers excellent value for money.
