I really appreciated the rooms with sea views. This is real plus if you are looking for a sea view. The showers are spacious. Staff are really nice. Breakfast is very good and propose a lot of different type of food. The rooms are clean. We experienced the restaurant for dinner and it was such a great experience and it was delicious. I definitely recommend staying in this hotel. We appreciate the fact that this hotel had a private parking and 2 spots for people wit reduced mobility.
nothing that i recall. perhaps check if your room floor is accessible directly by a lift for those who cannot afford using stairs.

Excellent staff, service and location. We were two couples on a touring holiday and stayed for two nights. The restaurant was excellent and the Bistro very good value. Being able to dine outside for breakfast and at the Bistro was a plus. The short but steep path down to the beach and town centre was a great advantage. We walked to the Botanical Gardens in 35 minutes.
Our stay was slightly spoilt as after checking out the four of us went for a beer in the garden. It was coming up to lunch time and the staff seemed to have changed from the ones we had got to know. We were basically ignored after being told we couldn't use a table but had to sit in deck chairs which we did and then waited. We then went across to the Bistro to be told we had to have food! Not the sexcellent service we had experienced up to then.

Unknown to me, the Dormy House is really a campus of multiple facilities. My room was in the more 'modern' building, top, top floor. The cheese at the end of this maze was exquisite! The view from my window was breathtaking! It literally inspired me to walk throughout the town, along the coast from La Falaise d'Amont to La Falaise d'Aval, and then off to Benouville, where I chanced upon Le Festival de Cerfs-Volants. Wow. What a visit.
What was not to like? Before I even unpacked, I lounged in the stunning lawned overlook of the sea, took in my surroundings and sighed with quiet gratitude at its beauty. The beer was good, too.

Amazing location . Paid to upgrade - worth the extra for the view. The walk in shower was top notch . Fabulous. It’s an easy walk (downhill) into town - even with my arthritic knees!
Incredibly expensive for a 3* hotel. And not even high season! No air con. Food average and expensive to boot! Better quality food in town. Ridiculous placing of a door stop in the bathroom - think I broke a toe on it. My husband also. The hairdryer is the absolute worst I’ve ever had the misfortune of using - you have to grip the handle to get it to work (very difficult with arthritic hands, in fact almost impossible) so take your own.

The location is fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great levels of cleanliness too. The food in both the restaurant and bistro was good, but certainly not exceptional and was somewhat overpriced for what it was, in my opinion. Breakfast was good and good value.
The food in both the restaurant and bistro was good, but certainly not exceptional and was somewhat overpriced for what it was, in my opinion. I believe both menus need to be addressed and improved and made better value for money also.

we had a room with a sea view, and it was fantastic! two windows overlooked the sea and the town. Location was great easy walking distance into the town with shops and restaurants close by. Staff were very friendly, special thanks to the bar staff, we really enjoyed our chats with them!
There was no lift inside the hotel and there were a lot of steps/stairs as we were on the top floor. Help was offered by receptionist with our luggage but if we were older it would have been so much harder! Also, there were no complimentary drinks in the room, all tea, coffee, water was chargeable! No bath robes or slippers either, for the room rate we would have expected these things.

Beautiful location, we had a great room, very clean & well appointed. The view is spectacular. We ordered room service for dinner & the cheese was phenomenal, other food was very good.
The staff was ok but not very friendly compared to what we experienced in Paris (which was the opposite of what we expected.) Breakfast also was ok, but certainly not what we expected for $22€ per person.

Great sea view from the respective rooms, quiet location with easy access to the beach and cliffs. Much calmer than the downtown, so you will get enough privacy. Breakfast quite diverse, very friendly staff. Windows are well insulated, so you won't hear seagulls at night. The only problem is that the room can get hot, thus you won't be able to open the window - either bring earplugs with you or sleep with windows closed.
Our bathroom/shower featured very small/narrow glass - consequently, the floor was always soaking wet, once you take a shower. Had to request extra towels to dry it. Breakfast is paid on top (18,5 EUR per person) and could have a bit higher quality standards (what could be improved: juices come from packs, scrambled eggs are pre-cooked, the only other option are boiled eggs. Jams could be served in larger jars, as the mini-ones aren't really environmentally friendly).

This little place is a gem. We would go back in a second. Such a unique inn in a stunning location. We really enjoyed our suite and our boys had their own sea view room. Beds were comfy and it was nice sleeping with the doors open.
It was a very hot weekend which is not typical for this town so I think a lot of people showed up and the hotel and its restaurant staff were very overwhelmed. Also, if we called down to the front desk there was no response to anything like we need more toilet paper or towels. They just never showed up. We had denied maid service so if we hadn't it wouldn’t have been an issue, but it was still frustrating.

I like to stay at Dormy House every time I come to Etretat. This resort style hotel rests on top of a hill overlooking the ocean, cliffs and village. The views from here are spectacular. Their outdoor lounge is my favorite place to enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean and cliffs while drinking a glass of Sancere and eating their complimentary nuts. The rooms are super clean and the beds are very comfortable. They have two restaurants, one overlooking the ocean which is fine dining and another serves more casual food. The breakfast is the best I have had in France. It is great for American travelers because they have bacon and eggs along with everything else usually served. There are walking paths down to the quaint village, and the cliffs where the views are otherworldly. When I arrived at the hotel this time, I got an upgrade to my room which I did not ask for. The staff are very friendly and accommodating allowing me to park my car well before check in time. On occasion I bring groups of artists with me and we have never been disappointed.
