This is a GREAT choice in beautiful historic building directly on ocean walkway with restaurants downstairs. Be aware during peak season parking is a nightmare but they allow you to park in front until you are able to find parking. We are VERY happy with our choice. Our room was small but there are larger rooms available! Be sure to upgrade your room or book lower floor for elderly because there is no elevator. This is the best choice in my opinion. Although breakfast ends early is was delicious!!

Walk up 4 stories with no bellman to help carry luggage. We were soo hot and sweaty carrying heavy luggage and worrying about parking at the same time was very stressful!

Christopher at the front desk was great. The property is , quite simply, the best located and placed for Etretat. Pay extra for the sea view, or even better the sea view with balcony - the room I stayed in. There is literally no sanity in staying here and booking anything else. I'd come back in a heartbeat. The attached restaurant and cafe is really good too.

Rooms were a tad dusty and could use a little more TLC. It got pretty chilly during our stay but it wasn't clear to me if the gas heater in the room actually worked. The jacuzzi and shower combo is kinda awkward and funny, but once you figure it out it's not bad. I'm tall so it wasn't ideal, but for that specific room I'd bathe in a bucket - it's that perfect.

Staying at the Hotel Le Rayon Vert felt like travelling back in time (in a good way). The location -- right on the beach, a short walk from the cliffs -- could not be more central, but our town-facing room was quiet at night. We especially appreciated the friendly, accommodating staff and the attention to sustainability.

Would not recommend for someone with mobility issues, as each room requires stairs (in our case three flights).

Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. A good selection of food and drinks available and very attentive staff. Our room had a balcony with a sea view and the proximity to the sea allowed us to listen to the waves crashing on to the beach throughout the night. It was very pleasant.

There was nowhere to hang up our wet coats after being out in the rain. We didn't want to put them in the wardrobe!

The location is great, on the beach. the parking is just next to the Hotel and it’s free during the night. the guy on reception was very sweet and kind, he was really trying to speak English and it was really sweet! Room was very small but cozy and warm. the toilet is extremely small but nice. the hotel restaurant however is very dated and cold. Breakfast is average and too pricey for what you get and we were a little disappointed with the lady at the reception (and breakfast) in the morning. but overall a nice stay in a beautiful town and breathtaking scenery.

Very nice hotel with a wonderful French charme. Located directly at the water front with a view to the famous cliffs. Staff is really helpful and gentle. Really great stay. For having lunch or dinner, the restaurant of the hotel (not included) is not really recommendable.

In case of rain, the window should not be opened as the rain World come in. Tiltable windows would have been better.

Location was so beautiful and breathtaking

We went on a weekend and it was extremely busy. Roads were blocked off and we initially couldn’t get to the hotel as there was something happening in town. A policeman finally let us through when we told him we had a room booked at le rayon vert. It didn’t ruin our visit there because it was just so lovely there and the hotel manager was so helpful.

Location is excellent! Room with sea view is also good. Staff is very kind and nice. Breakfast was standard but tasty

Furniture and all staff at bathroom are extremely old. Jacuzzi was self starting when you are sitting in the room (outside bathroom) ;)))

We had a room overlooking the ocean and it was a lovely view. The room was charming and very clean. We loved being in the center of the village and the views of the cliffs. The restaurant that was attached to the hotel was very convenient and offered a variety of options. The walks (and the wind) were stunning!

We had a problem finding parking when we arrived because the public lot next to the hotel was packed. We ended up having to park a half a mile away and then moving the car in the evening after the rest of the tourists left.

The hotel was beautiful & cozy and the stuff was friendly. Location was excellent, just beside the sea and beach boulevard. Still it wasn't too noisy. Sea gulls are everywhere :-) and remember that collecting pebbles is not allowed. Lots of tourists. Beautiful, amazing views and a recommendation for The Etretat Gardens and Marie Antoinette restautrant. Delicious!

The water pressure of the shower was quite low and the room was quite warm at night.
