spacious room. Comfortable Mattras, clean and bright. All along the room the balcony facing the sea.
The entrance to the building where the bedroom is located. it’s on an alley/ very narrow street with garbage/trash huge containers lining up along the wall. While check in is done at the receptionist of a hotel with another name on the sea side board walk, we have to go around behind to find the entrance to the room. luckily it is on the second floor. Thus view is straight to the sea. no lift. The people (tourists or permanent residents in the floor above) have dogs. 2 at least whom owners take them a lot outside who use the staircases. Quite a noise.

ocean front, great restaurant for lunch & dinner
The hotel name on booking.com DOES NOT MATCH the name on the physical hotel. No clear directions were given on where to park, how to find the place since it was a completely different name. no English speaking staff except the housekeeper. She was great but when she was not around it was more challenging (but this is my problem, not theirs!).

The stairs were a challenge but the room was sparkling clean and cheerful. The bathroom looked brand new. The view is everything! Our windows opened onto the sea!
We arrived from Paris early and were told that we could leave our bags until checkin. Oir room was not ready until after 5 PM!!!

Good location. Hot water. Good shower. That’s all.
First of all there is no sign “gîte de la plage”. I called to the reception, that doesn’t speak English. The receptionist was not polite, was irritated. I managed to ask in French, but she just gave a name of the restaurant in French and finished the call. I even didn’t understand. Intuitively I found the “hotel”. There is a sea view, but, first you see the restaurants on the sea first line, normally back side of the restaurants. There is mold in the apartment. Not critical, but not pleasant. Everything is very old. If you open the doors of the balcony or window, you smell the kitchen of the restaurant- fish. The door of the main entrance blocked me, I could exit, until the reception removed the locker. It may happen, but not pleasant, taking into consideration my welcoming in the hotel.
