Liked the location; proximity to metro and decent restaurants, and some shops !

A bit run-down— drapes are really in sad shape ; extremely noisy

The hotel is perfectly located, it is a short metro journey from the station when using the Eurostar, on arrival the guy behind reception was super friendly, very lovely. Rooms are clean, cleaners came in during our stay too, which was only 2 nights, rooms are a little tired but it's an old building, but perfectly adequate. Vending machine downstairs is handy for water. The hotel is very convenient for travelling around the city. The nearest metro was Chemin Vert, but we liked a little stroll, so used Bastille, which was great to jump on the metro to anywhere you need to go.

Nothing it was a perfectly adequate hotel

The room was an exceptional value for four people, which is hard to find in Paris at such a reasonable price. The room was as described and pictured: it had air conditioning, the beds were comfortable, the location was very near two subway stations and a bakery, and to make it even better, it is not located on an extremely busy street, which meant the room was quiet! The decor was cute, and the room was clean. It is hard to find a closer location to all the main sites! We could have walked to Notre Dam and the Louvre in 25 minutes or so. They also allowed us to check in a little early. I highly recommend Grand Hotel Amelot and would 100% stay there again!

Good location, close to a few transport stops, plus eateries. Friendly staff, always welcoming. Good breakfast service of pastries, yoghurt and coffee. Room was spacious though just a double bed. Shower was okay but pressure was quite light. Would've been great to have had facilities to make tea/coffee. Great to have a lift too. Overall, great stay.

Shower had light pressure. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Squeaky doors

Hotel was in a nice quiet location. Friendly staff on Reception.

Very overpriced! basic hotel rooms, dated, worn carpets and curtains just hanging on a few hooks. Booked quadruple room for two of us, and still very small. Would have been very unpleasant and interesting having four people stay in this room.

Yasil, the concierge at the front desk was superb. He was very welcoming. Gave us coffee and the best apple turnovers (chauson pomme) and croissants. Spoke to us about the neighborhood and all there was to do in Paris. In fact he pulled out a map and circled landmarks on the map, made connections with other landmarks to visit including shopping galleries. The hotel itself was quaint, clean and full of authentic French architecture and culture. Our room (2 queen beds - slept 4) was your standard room like in the states perhaps a little tighter in size. The bathroom was very clean, a stand up shower with a snazzy shower curtain. There definitely was a safe, a closet and even a super cool fridge that hung on the wall. Looked like a black box! The hotel smelled sooooo nice and clean and fresh. 20 stars 🌟 The metro station was a 4 minute walk, up a hill and around the corner. Plenty to eat around there and you can exchange money down the block at the bastille. Reason for our stay: my daughter's 10th bday gift was to visit the eiffel tower.

The location near the Marais is what I was looking for, close to the Musée Carnavalet of the history of Paris, close to la Place des Vosges, and to the Bastille. Convenient Métro stops. Easy walking to La Samarataine, Le Louvre, Les Tuileries, Le Jeu de Paume, etc. Breakfast was continental with excellent croissants, not easy to find these days, and a pot of coffee and hot milk (not from a machine). The room for one person contained all that I needed, a small desk, a platform for a suitcase, two chairs, and a firm not too narrow bed. The room was absolutely quiet, on the 7th floor (6ième étage) on a street with no traffic. A beautiful spiral staircase winds through the center of the building. I liked the décor in my room and throughout the hotel. A sense of fun pervaded.

They could serve breakfast a little earlier for those departing to the airport, but the nice hotel manager, a most cheerful guy, gave me croissants to go.

1) Location of the hotel, 5mins walk to the metro St. Sebastian. Plenty of restaurants, pubs (Happy Hours) and cafes within walking distance from the hotel. 2) Reception was friendly and helpful, showed us how to take the metro and also booked a taxi for us to the airport. I like the vending machines of drinks and snacks at the reception. 3) Bed mattress was firm and comfortable. The pillows was good as well. 4) The bathroom looks like it has been renovated recently, so it’s pretty and clean. The shower was excellent, enough pressure and hot water. 5) There‘s a lift to the rooms.

I won’t say that I don’t like it but for improvement, a few more hooks in the bathroom would be nice to hang up the wet towels. The room was not that big but was spacious enough for 2 persons.
