Very nicely decorated room, lovely view and excellent location to discover Paris from. Big plus were the separate bathroom and toilet in the room. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of continental breakfast options.

Wifi didn‘t work well in the room, only seemed to work when most other guests were asleep (6 in the morning) and one was close to the door of the room. It was ok to look up stuff on the internet, but not for watching videos, Instagram etc.

Location was great in the Marais, very clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel was located a block or so from the Bastille very near a Metro stop. The street was a little busy but not too loud. Many restaurants nearby. For Paris the rooms were a decent size and a good value.

We stayed with friends and had 2 rooms at the same price . One room, 403, was a corner room with a large bathroom and three windows to the street. The second room, 207, was a smaller room with just 1 small window to an inside spiral staircase. Not sure why they were the same price. Each floor looked like they had the same floor plan/room numbers.

It is a great location! We were able to walk to pretty much all the places we wanted to go. The rooms are small, but clean and nice. The size didn't bother us as we only used the rooms to sleep. Despite being a little small, they were clean and really pretty. The breakfast was great. We ate there every day. We also really appreciated the staff. They helped book multiple activities for us, and they even called a doctor to come to the room when one of our children got pretty sick. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris!

There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel.

The staff were wonderful! The elevator was being fixed during our stay, so that wasn't optimal, BUT we knew that when we booked. So the elevator should be in great working order now. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful ( a little small, but again, we knew that when we booked, and that's typical for Paris. The location was AMAZING! I'm so glad we stayed in Bastille. Beautiful, historic, lots of restaurants and shops! Not overly touristy. Metro was pretty much around the corner. We would definitely stay there again!

the hotel is not an intimate "homely" place but not a faceless institutional either. ıt's something in between as it is small but very efficiently run. the rooms are spacious in Parisian standards and very intelligently decorated with just the right amount of stuff you would require for a short stay. I think for the price which is above mid range you get what you pay for; nothing luxurious but no cheap solutions either. we were very satisfied.

I asked for one of the connecting rooms to have 2 single beds which was confirmed by the hotel but when we arrived it was not so. Also, one of our connecting rooms did not have a window looking to the street, hence was very dark, which we did not like but might be interesting for someone looking for absolute quietness

We have stayed here before and the six nights we have just had matched our experience from four years ago. Comfortable rooms with great beds, exceptional breakfast and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more. Bastille is a great location to explore Paris

Going home

Location: the hotel is located a 3 min walk from the Bastille Métropolitain and a bus stop is also available just beside the Métro entrance. It's a really short distance from Gare de Lyon (one métro stop or 20 mins walk) and also convenient for Gare du Nord and Gare du Est. City centre is super accessible as well. Room: the room was extremely clean, new bathroom with a large window and a great shower. Nice welcome pack and tea/coffee station. Two windows overlooking a quiet Paris street. Enough room for two trolleys and also a small writing table. Staff: the staff was super friendly and helpful. They will book a taxi for you if you need it and they even checked that the métro and rail lines were OK for our return trip. The breakfast staff was really discreet and on top of everything, they looked after the clients really well and we felt spoiled. Breakfast: breakfast buffet has everything for your taste: sweet and savoury food, yogurt, bread, fruit. A small station with coffee, milk and juices is available and always replenishe. Bonus point: an amazing boulangerie on the street parallel to the hotel! Overall, I would recommend the hotel as it made our city break even better than we thought.

There is nothing I can say I really did not like. I just want to remind people that this is Paris, a huge city and some noise at night must be expected. The hotel is on a quiet street beside Place de la Bastille, but there are a few restaurants and you might hear people talking at night or some traffic in the morning. It did not bother us, and as said, it's on a side road and not on the main road, and the noise was not major.

My room was very spacious (by Paris standards) and had lots of natural lighting due to the two floor-to-ceiling windows. The bed was quite comfortable and I enjoyed the option of being able to have a soak in the bath. Additionally, the staff that I dealt with were all nice and very happy to assist with any queries.

While the room itself was well-cleaned by the cleaner, there were quite a few marks on the walls and a red wine stain on the carpet. Additionally, the handle of the door to the window kept falling off. These were just little things though and did not impact my overall enjoyment.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel (2 adults 2 young children). We booked a quadruple room which was as great choice as the single rooms are quite small (which is common in Paris) so gave us space we needed with the kids. While the rooms are compact, they are extremely modern and clean, and have all the facilities you would expect - tea/coffee, small mini bar, small desk, cupboard with hangers, a safe and a very new and well equipped bathroom. We very much liked having windows that opened - as the hotel is centrally heated it allowed us to cool down the temperature as needed. The beds are extremely comfortable!!! Front desk staff are multilingual and very friendly, with lots of good suggestions. The morning breakfast is delicious and a lovely continental spread in a small breakfast room. The breakfast hosts are very attentive. We really loved our stay and felt like we had a terrific Paris experience. Loads of restaurants right out the front door and public transport (bus and train) around the corner.

Excellent location, convenient to metro, restaurants, Place des Vosges and Le Marais district. This area is a wonderful neighborhood to base our exploration of Paris, away from the main tourist traps, but full of character and charm. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, relatively quiet. It was a nice hotel to come back to after long days of sightseeing.

Pricey, though probably only a little above average for Paris. Our 2 rooms were adjacent, but had to prop the doors open with our suitcases. Breakfast was good, but overpriced. Better off grabbing croissants & coffee at any number of cafés around the corner.
