This hotel exceeded my expectations. For the price, I was expecting a bit of a kip to be honest but it was more than fine for what we needed it for. The bed was comfy, location good. Lovely staff and felt safe here. We saved a lot by booking here so got to see more of Paris because of that. Overall happy with our stay and would recommend to solo travellers and friends. Families, not so much.

No cleaner or fresh towels for the three days we were there. I guess we could have asked at reception but it would have been nice to see that the cleaners had been in Shower was in the bedroom which was a small bit awkward for my friend and I. Not much privacy but we got used of it haha

I liked that we were given the opportunity to choose the floor to stay. we were very pleased to have a shower and toilet in the room 26, as well as a microwave, fridge and kettle. we didn't expect the room to have all these amenities.

It's a shame that there was a lot of mold in the shower. also the drain in the sink was clogged, making it difficult for water to flow through. and when we first checked in, the room was a little dusty. There were also not enough hooks for clothes and towels in the room. I really hope that these shortcomings will be corrected, because we would like to continue to stay at this hotel and will recommend it to others

The room was great. We had a private bathroom which was clean and comfortable, as was everything else. Zero complaints, and the staff was very nice as well. The neighborhood is amazing, very close to practically everything in the city if you take the bus and the metro. Sure, the hotel itself may be a bit old, but if you're looking for value for money, this is your place. It's definitely worth it - don't expect a 5 star hotel, but this is a clean place where you'll be comfortable and close to the city center. :)

The hotel is a bit dated and it would have been nice to get some hygiene products in the room, but this personally isn't such a big deal for me. Note the hotel has no elevator and it has 5 floors.

Very clean and heated room. Good bedding. I booked a room with a private bathroom and it was great, very clean and the shower was of good quality. The location is the best part, considering the amount we paid, as the metro station was just 3 minutes away, so it made our trip a lot easier. I was apprehensive about booking given the series of negative reviews here, but I was surprised, the room was really good. For those who criticize shared bathrooms, I suggest you pay for the room with a private bathroom, that way you won't have any stress. I recommend this hotel for those just looking for a place to sleep, it doesn't have luxuries, but it provided exactly what we needed. Thank you Hotel Richard, you made our stay in Paris perfect!

The bathroom shower door was practically entirely made of glass, not giving much privacy for taking a shower. We suggest closing it completely.

double doors to enter room, near to metro station, short travel to main attractions, clean and has refrigerator, tea kettle, microwave in room, separated area for sink, toilet and shower in small room, look new and shiny. free storage for bag before and after check out.

no table but only a chair, no place to put bag and belongings, had to put on the floor.

I booked a room with own shower and toilet, it was small but clean and renovated recently - it felt nice to be there. I chose it for its location, metro Voltaire 100 m away and Bastille within walking distance. Shops, cafes, restaurants - all close by. Definitely recommend for those who come to visit Paris and will spend their days outside anyway :)

I would have preferred normal blankets instead of the thin blanket that was available, but it was ok too. Next time I will bring my sleeping bag ;)

I travelled alone for two nights and loved my stay, the receptionist was so kind, the location is super practical, and the room was better than expected, I thought it wouldn't have a shower but it did! Also the fridge, microwave and kettle trio was super (more than most places I've stayed in actually), definitely recommend !

The only downside was that the room was a bit hot (I went in the heatwave though) and the stairs looked a bit precarious but other than that it was definitely worth it.

Everything was simple and clean, the stay was pretty straightforward. 1 small room with 1 shower, a tub and a bed, with a table and a chair. exactly what was shown on the site.

I'll only remove 2 points. 1 because the toilet were not in the room but outside in the staiway. 1 because the room was small and I felt like I had little privacy due to the window being so big. But that wasn't a problem for me because I only stayed one night.

Everything was great! We had a room for 5 people, it was clean, we had our own bathroom and toilet, towels, soap even a microwave and a fridge. The beds were comfortable and clean and you could really tell the place was renewed recently. All 5 of us enjoyed it. The staff was also really nice and the location was lovely, very close to the city life!

We could hear a lot of noise from outside but it didnt bother us.

The hotel is very basic but is very close to the subway and bus stations and had a lot of shops, bakeris and coffes and restaurants around. The room was very clean and the personal is very attentive. I forgot my kindle book in the room after sign out, and call them. They keep it for the week and I took it back on the way back to my country.

The rooms are small and has the very basic but are clean, for short stay the hotel is really worth for its price.
