Location is top! Metro #9 just 2 steps from the door, shops, pharmacy, ... Beds comfortable, room cleaned every day, inner-yard view rooms perfect for nice breeze and quiet long night and morning sleep. We loved the place, we would come back again.

2 Double-bed room is a bit small for 4 but we stayed for 4 nights and it was ok. Maybe some additional storage area would be great. Breakfast had no fruit or meat, salamy.

The location is great with good access to the metro as well as local resturants and cafes. I have seen other comments about the room being small or the building being old, and sure the building is old but it's kept clean. They could do with a few small repairs and some paint touch ups, but honestly for the price you pay it is perfectly adequate and comfotable accomodation (to those complainers... just remember you're not paying Hilton Hotel prices). When we travel we just want a safe, clean and comfortable place to sleep after a day out exploring the area and this did the job perfectly.

The only real issue we had was on occasion (about 3 times during our stay) we'd get a feint sewer type of smell in the bathroom. It wasn't strong but just enough to make your nose twitch. My theory (based on the shower being the stronger smelling part) is there is a shared waste service pipe and when hot waste water enters it from another unit then the smell rises up through the shower drain pipe but that is just me guessing. Honestly we just opened the window for a minute to air the room and it was fine.

I've stayed in Paris on a number of occassions and must say this has been the best hotel for me so far. The staff were really friendly and a majority of the time present/available. The hotel was clean and our room was spotless. The room was cleaned daily with fresh linens. The size of the room was just perfect for a few nights. We had a beautiful view of the street and loved to people watch in this beautiful city. The weather was quite cold and even snowing, and we were pleasantly surpised to arrive to a warm and cosy room. There was a tv, kettle and hairdryer all functioning perfectly. There is a cute lift, but it is quite small so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you. The location was perfect for our travel plans. We love to walk as much as possible and we found it a great base to explore the city and walk off those croissants. Overall we are very happy with our time at the hotel and really hope to return in the future. Thank you Hipotel Paris Voltairre staff!

I am very happy with my stay overall. However, the bed wasn't the most comfortable. It was also a bit noisy, everytime one or the other turned it made some noise waking the other. In all my years of travel though, it was simply uncomfortable, but fine for a few nights. The hotel was quiet, but having the wonderful view/windows does allow for street noise. I'm happy with the view, but for sensitive sleepers it is in the city (which comes with city life and noise). Lastly, when we went to check out no one was around at reception. We waited, but eventually left it on the desk with some others, but we would have felt more comfortable had someone been there to acknowledge we returned it. Overall though, a great experience and I really recommend it.

The staff are absolutely amazing, that is one thing that you CANNOT fault. We didn’t catch names but there was a man and woman that tended to swap shifts. They were both incredible and so friendly. The man helped direct us from where we stayed to the Eiffel Tower via the met, which is a stones throw away from the hotel. He typed in my notes to show the ticket master. An amazing man. The hotel was clean and much more spacious that photos, what we requested prior the trip was granted, I understand this will vary based on booking availability. So friendly clean and WARM. It was chilly at night so lovely to come back to a heated apartment. Cleaners came every day whilst we stayed which is a huge bonus. Fresh towels etc. amazing . Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.

Nothing to fault.

The hotel is lovely - a fine example of old school Parisienne hotel, narrow, like it’s holding its breath, with rooms located around a spiral staircase. Lovely friendly staff too, convenient location - Place Leon Bloom & Voltaire metro, 10 minutes from Bastille…great!

Bearing in mind its price, it was a lot nicer than some other affordable priced hotels I have stayed in. The room was good, the bed was comfortable -ok not all the plug sockets seemed to work but more than enough did, & there was a floor fitting between the bathroom & the rest of the room that wasn’t really fitted (or indeed serving any purpose - & the room was well-heated (which was much appreciated because it snowed while I was there). Really though - not anything to actively dislike!

I loved the friendliness of the staff, the cute bedroom with en-suite and full length window view onto a panoramic view of ‘real’ Paris, the location was perfect for me and the breakfast was typically French. Safe for a solo female traveller. Just what I was looking for.

My room got quite warm - I couldn’t turn the radiator down & I was on the 6th floor - but I loved the fact that I could open my window to cool. I’d rather be too hot than too cold - keeping the window open was easy & I enjoyed listening to the Parisian noises and sounds.

The property is in amazing location ! Exactly outside of the hotel there is a metro station (number 9) and really nice and value for money restaurants like Chez Papa and Le Rey and even McDonald’s and supermarket! All these in less than a minute walking !!! More than that you are able to walk till Notre Dame (35 minutes walking approx) through a big road full of restaurants and some days an open air market !

There wasn’t breakfast included in the price, but even if you pay for the breakfast it’s not something special. It’s better to go outside to eat breakfast since the location of the hotel is surrounded by plenty of restaurants!!! More than that keep in mind that there is not so good sound protection but it’s not a big deal.

The service just an excellent, the lady gave really useful tips and recommendations, very very nice and kind. Also I asked in advance quiet room, because of sensitive of sleeping, I the room with backyard windows were really quiet. When something need to fix, the service was really fast and polite. Location is perfect, metro right in the corner and manageable to reach any popular place in Paris. I am highly recommend

the elevator is small, but was totally ok, if you need mostly drop your luggage, 2 people and one suitcase fit

The Hipotel proved a great home base for our six days in Paris, situated on Boulevard Voltaire at Place Leon Blum and just steps from the Metro station entrance, with many wonderful restaurants and other shops in the area. The rooms aren't large, but seemed quite a value in this expensive city. Without exception, the front desk and cleaning staff with whom we engaged proved friendly and helpful. Although not a spectacular view (of a small courtyard), we certainly appreciated being able to open the large window for fresh air. The small lift works well (but if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, be aware there are a few steps up the circular staircase from the lobby). We'd gladly return here on a future trip!

The red vertical sign on the building says "Charm Hotel" beneath a Chinese character. We hadn't noted anything other than "Hipotel" in the materials and so experienced some uncertainty as we approached the area. Fortunately, the blue and white building number (132) is displayed prominently above the entrance door. I note this not as a criticism, but rather hopefully to help a future guest avoid any confusion.
