The location is good, near to the train station (3-4 min walk) and near to "La Petite France"/Grande-Île de Strasbourg (8-10 min walk). The room did not have a great view but at least it was quiet, and the bathroom was big and modern. The staff was pleasant and we were able to leave our luggage after check out in a special room. Overall the hotel is ok for the price.

Unfortunately the room, although it was quite big, had a strange shape with an extra single bed. TV was mounted very high on the wall and it was not comfortable to look at it No minibar/mini fridge, tea/coffee machine, AC in the room.

Everything. We had a family room and it was cleverly designed so it felt like we had lots of room. The hotel was really close to the train station which worked really well for us. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was plentiful (there was a great breakfast area which had a glass roof so it was light and airy). I also liked that the soap/shampoo was in a dispenser rather than little bottles - so much less wasteful. There was also a cool bar area where we could have a beer and play cards in the evening. What a great hotel this was!

This hotel is perfectly located 2-3 minutes walk from central train station of Strasbourg so we didnt need any taxi to get there from station. The hotel was very clean and comfy, the room for 4 beds good size, the kids beds were two separate beds (so if you have a teen age boy and girl, works very well). our room had 2 big windows overlooking to 3 streets that join at the place of hotel. Staff were very friendly and polite, accommodated us all requests for hot water, extension cord etc..... The eating area is nice for breakfast but we wanted to try the outside famous boulangeries. In Frnace we stayed in 4 cities and 5 hotels and this one was the best in terms of communication with clients. Unlike other hotels, this one had a booklet inside the room to explailn or remind several hints, plus there were labels with 5-6 languages on everywhere (toilet tank - watertaps - shower - etc) There was enough or ample storage place inside the room and also in lobby for after check out storage until your departure at station. Also the room had enough closet space.

While perhaps many hotels are removing the telephone sets inside rooms, but I think is still a good service to be included so you can speak to reception desk if you need like old fashion times

We had a one night stopover in Strasbourg and le Grillon was absolutely perfect for that. Perfect position close to the station and the Petit France area. We were all in one room which even though small gave our teenage child some privacy in his own alcove. For a stay in August, the price was very reasonable. The bathroom had been recently refurbished. Very quiet despite the very central position.

Not a problem for us, but the room's decor might be considered a bit tired for someone staying longer.

The location was great! Just a 2 minute walk from the train station. The hotel is right on a main street with restaurants, bars, grocery stores, shopping, etc. We walked to the Cathedrale and Petite France. The front desk staff was very nice and as a bonus spoke English. The room wasn't fancy but it had everything we needed and was comfortable. And two big, beautiful windows overlooking the street below.

We could hear a little noise from people outside at the bar below but not as bad as we thought it would be.

Not your normal bland chain hotel. Large comfortable and clean room, in a good location, less than 5 minutes walk from the station. Shower was very good too. Breakfast was continental style with a reasonable choice of offerings. Le Perestroika, the Russian themed bar, provided plenty of entertainment, with it's mix of local clients, entertaining posters and other artefacts, and just generally had a rather quaint quirkiness about it. The reception and bar staff were also friendly, although if you have a smattering of French, it could prove useful.

Main disappointment was the lack of tea or coffee making facilities in your room, and although breakfast was available, there wasn't the option of lunch or evening meal. But tbh, there were plenty of options elsewhere.

Family of 5 adults on a vacation through Europe, and decided to stop by for a visit to Alsatian area Hotel was within 4 minutes from the train station and close to the city Clean rooms newly renovated bathrooms Superb stay we heard about the good breakfasts there but had to leave early The guy at front desk made my husband a great coffee early in the morning

We had no complaints If you don’t like stairs you may not like it here

The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. We had a problem with the air conditioning and they immediately offered us a room move to a better room. Thank you so much for that! The position was perfect, close to the station and the Petite France.

There is not fridge in the room to store water or drinks in summer and there isn’t a kettle.

Within east walking distance of train station. Nice room and friendly staff. Easy to visit Little France and the r st of the city.

No soap in either dispenser (shower and sink) and no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Was woken up at 7:30 by someone vacuuming.

Excellent hotel not far from the train station, although the streets are busy we found the hotel to be quiet at night. We only stayed one night as it was just a stop over during our train travels but would stay longer if we venture this way again.

Nothing to complain about as we only stayed 1 night.
