Very good location, next to the train station, close to parking and city center. Nice income hall, very friendly staff at reception. The room was clean and spacious, we received the wheelchair accessible room for our baby and stroller, this was very thoughtful. However I would not call it "newly renovated", especially the baby bed had seen much better days. I liked the very hard mattress, my husband hated it so this is a personal preference. Overall good value for money.

The breakfast hall was packed on a sunday morning, during Covid times this was very uncomfortable. I would also not pay extra for the breakfast if not included in room price because the very small selection is not really worth it. There are better breakfast places around. The facilities in the room could be better as well, no hairdryer and the shower drain did not work properly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Grand Hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's location, right in front of the train station, proved to be incredibly convenient, and everything about the stay exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the room provided to me was spacious and comfortable. The large windows in the room provided a lovely view, adding to the overall appeal. One aspect that truly stood out was the warm and friendly staff. The hotel staff was always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my visit. The highlight of each morning was the excellent breakfast offered at the hotel. The spread was diverse and high quality, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. From a delectable selection of pastries to freshly brewed coffee, the breakfast was a perfect way to kickstart each day.

Location excellent for rail travellers. No more than 100 metres from front of Strasbourg station. But also within easy walking distance of the shopping/ restaurant centre and places of interest and attraction.

Having pre booked a superior room, I had hoped that in addition to size, we would enjoy a bright airy room with view. Room 208 was very clean and comfortable and of good size . However it overlooked what I believe to be the kitchens at the rear of the hotel and ambient light was restricted by surrounding buildings. It would be very helpful if Booking.Com who I suspect received a substantial commission from my booking were to clearly confirm the nature of the accommodation offered.

My stay at the hotel was very nice! The room was big enough for 1 person, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. Every day my room was cleaned, the bed was made, and the trash was taken out. The breakfast was very tasty and average in variety. At the reception, there were always young and smiling people ready to help you in any way they could! I really liked the location. Although it is not in the city center, everything you need is nearby.

It would be good if some of the toilet accessories were finished (such as a vanity kit, body milk, etc.) to renew it. I would also recommend that when there are two people in the same room, have separate accessories for them - they are not always a couple to use a common bar of soap, for example.

Virtually walked out of the train station into our hotel. Le Grand is ideally situated... a 250m stroll we were in a cafe having a wine. 500m further on and you're in the center of an amazing town full of marktplazs, side-streets, many shops and the extraordinary cathedral notre dame. We took a cruise down the Ill River and absorbed the history of this amazing place. Our overnight stay at Le Grand was enjoyable. Their staff were great... We arrived back at night, had a wine at the bar then cruised up to our room where we enjoyed a nice shower, fab sleep in a (quiet) air conditioned room and in the morning we enjoyed a light breakfast before strolling off for another walk around the impressive township. It was sad to leave in the late afternoon but there will definitely be another time when we will come back to Strasbourg and when we do, Le Grand is where we will stay... Having to leave !!

There are a number of good things about this hotel but perhaps the best is its location. It is immediately across the street from the train station, immediately next to some of the most walkable areas of the city, and a short walk from La Petite France. But it gets better. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The breakfast is good and served in a very nice area with some lovely outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There are quite a few hotels in exactly the same location - I haven't been to any except Le Grand Hotel, so I can't compare them. I *can* say that picking Le Grand Hotel is a good choice.

The breakfast was quite rich with both sweet and salty items: croissants, bread, juices, jam and honey, and also fresh fruit, yogurt and eggs and salami and cheese. The location of the hotel is amazing, right in front of the station and in a walking distance from all the main attractions of the city, also next to cafè and breweries. The bed was really comfortable with a choice of two types of pillows, the room was big and bright, on the corner at the fifth floor facing the station square, but really not noisy at all.

Furniture and bathroom appliances are a bit old, but that's the only negative comment I could give in an amazing stay. All really clean though.

Air conditioning was great as the weather was quite warm. Clean property. Bed comfortable. Buffet breakfast adequate. Convenient location if you want to be close to the train station (reasonable distance to walk with luggage). Luggage storage lockers were also handy as we had an early train on arrival, and a late train on departure.

Not a huge issue for us, but compromise of being near the station means more of a walk to the central area for sightseeing and a greater selection of restaurants. It did get a bit hot and sticky at times.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Staff was amazing, literally went above and beyond!!! Location was excellent. Close to Louvre, place de Concord, Tuileries garden, and a metro station. Breakfast was awesome!!!!

Our bathroom was weird - the toilet was in a separate room that was so small, you could barely sit and close the door. It was inconvenient BUT the positives FAR outweighed this issue. Other rooms did not have this setup.

The hotel is located across from Strasbourg’s train station, so if you are coming by train, it’s very convenient. There is also a lot of possibilities regarding public transportation. The staff are helpful and kind and the room was spacious and very well designed. (The fact that you can control the entire room’s lights from the bed is an added plus - not many hotels offer what seems like a basic need!) The breakfast buffet was great and I especially enjoyed the freshly made fruit salad, not to mention the pink grapefruit pieces, that must have required a fair amount of work!

Not sure - I think I will come back and stay here again!
