The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially the night staff was very helpful. The breakfast was rich. Very nice garden.

The parking access was challenging (e.g. the car tyres were always sufferring the narrow ramp to get to the 1st floor). Once off the ramp, the car had to turn 90 degrees to the left in a narrow corridor (provided there was no car parked there). Also, the parking slots were narrow and the ones facing out were very low in height so that the trunk could touch the roof. Another waekness was the wooden floor in the 5th floor creaked a lot, disturbing our night sleep (poor noise insulation).

I booked this hotel for my parents and they loved everything about it. A day before their scheduled arrival, Booking.com gave me the option to upgrade to a nicer room for a small additional fee, so I took that option and upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view of the park. My parents loved this, they could drink their morning coffee on the balcony with a wonderful view of the park and mountains in the back. The room was comfortable, breakfast was very good, and most importantly, staff is extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located in Baden Baden's center, a short walk from Friedrichsbad and Caracalla thermal baths, and from cafes, restaurants, and shops in the center.

The staff were very helpful. The rooms were very beautiful and clean, and the hotel location was in the middle of Baden Baden and connected to all bus stations. The breakfast had a lot of choices but a small amount of each, so you might need to wait a bit for a refill but worth it very delicious.

The only complains I have were that the beds are not very comfortable, not to say they were bad but for the price I would expect a bit better mattresses. Also the hotel was not equipped for the heat, we only had very thick sheets which became annoying in the hot summer night.

i have stayed at the hotel several times as its a great location with secure parking. the staff are friendly and helpful the breakfast buffet is great

on this visit i was only staying for a short time and just went for a room on the front of the hotel facing the road. as it was a very warm night i had the balcony doors open and had a very early morning awakening by some workman in the street. best to try to go for a garden view in the warmer months as the rooms don't have aircon

An extremely good quality City centre hotel right in the heart of Baden-Baden and within easy walking distance from everything. Room was a good size, bed very comfortable and the whole hotel has a sense of style without being flouncy and in your face about it. The breakfast buffet is superb, both as to choice and quality. Excellent car park under cover and with a locked gate and entry straight into the hotel. Thoroughly recommended.

The hotel is located near the city center and close to the thermal bath (5 min. walk). The room was clean and very spacious. The lady at the checkout was very kind.

- The parking doesn’t have enough places. You are not able to book a place in advance, so you risk to be sent to the public parking. The public parkings are a little bit more expensive and might be full as well. - Is pretty hot during the night as there is no air conditioning - Noisy during the night (due to its location) - No fridge (minibar) - No bathrobes and slippers

I loved everything about Hotel am Sophienpark. It was old & grand, beautiful, spacious, wonderful staff, and its setting. Lovely restaurants, easy access to public transport, proximity to other towns to visit. We wished we had booked for longer than 2 nights. But we now have plans to come back asap.

My husband has a physical disability- for him it is very difficult to use a bath - unfortunately the hotel could not offer a room with shower. Hi did fall in the bath 2 days before we left

The hotel is very beautiful and it is located right jn the heart of Baden-Baden. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. Everything is really close on foot from the hotel.

We would have appreciated an info about the parking location before arriving as there is no real place to stop in front of the hotel

The hotel is perfectly located within the city centre of Baden-Baden. All shops are within walking distance and so are lots of the historic (bath) buildings, such as ‘Kurhaus’ and ‘Trinkhalle’. There are also a lot of nice restaurants, bakeries and pastry shops in the immediate area. The Christmas lights made the whole town look very lovely. People and tourists in town adhere to all covid-regulations, which is nice. The hotel itself has a parking garage (33 spots for €16/day), which is closed off by a gate and located right behind the hotel, which is ideal for when you arrive by car and have luggage to cary. The hotel looks very nice and the staff are all very polite and helpful. The reception lady helped us on our way with a city map and recommendations for sightseeing spots. The breakfast (which was included in the price) is also very decent. The room and terrace were very spacious and clean, so was the bathroom.

Other than that the daily parking fee may be a little expensive, no real other comments!
