very well located, nice and comfortable furniture and decoration in the entrance and in the room, very clean

The staff at the reception was not very friendly, when I arrived (it was about 3 pm in the afternoon). I had the impression to disturb. Showed annoyance when I asked questions about WIFI access, especially when I made the effort to speak German and because nothing was indicated on the card-key given. Told me that everything was written on a document in the room. Which was true, indeed. Such an attitude is not pleasant when we come after a long trip. Welcome of the customer is key.

Location is good, no frills accommodation, beds were comfortable.

Parking situation is a joke - they have parking at the hotel at 10euro a night, however, don't think to put the instructions for accessing it at the front door, so it's above the board with the keycards (not somewhere a logical person would think to look). We ended up parking at a much more expensive underground down the street. Photo included as proof. No reception in the afternoon - seems they finish around 2pm-ish, so I couldn't ask about parking either.

The location is great! Close to the city center and old town, bus stops, the main bus station, markets, shopping points, restaurants, river bank, pharmacies, bakeries... Kind and helpful staff. Even their working time is not 24 hours, you can reach them by phone, they always try to resolve the issue and help. New things inside their rooms, clean, tidy, big rooms, comfortable bed, big toilet, big TV, great AC (air conditioning), two sofas which could be transformed into beds for two people. Walls are not tiny, construction of the building is great, sound isolation also, so we couldn't hear other guests or traffic from the main street. Nice view of the city from windows (the highest floor). Really perfect place! Also, we arrived earlier, before check in time, and we left in the afternoon, after check out time... but staff was so kind and provided some space for our luggage close to the reception. We didn't use breakfast service and parking, so we cannot comment that. As a recommendation and way to attract more guests, maybe it will be a good idea to provide some discounts or coupons/vouchers for longer stays or for guests who would like to come back again, since the prices are not very affordable and it is one of the expensive hotels in Bamberg.

I think there should be a wardrobe in the room, because few clothes hangers on small pole and few shelves (both on some metal/wooden open instalation) should be provided, there is enough space for that in the room. Happily, we had 6 our clothes hangers from home. For two persons or a family, also for a longer stay, this kind of "hotel closet" is simply not enough. Trash bins for rooms (not only for toilets) should be provided.

Location was great. I'd say that the hotel was in the middle of the train station (about 10walking minutes) and the old part of the city. *I stayed in the comfort double room, and was spacious enough.* Although my room was facing the street, i cannot say that i had a problem with the noise.(bamberg is a small city) *The fact that someone wasn't 24/7 at the reception wasnt a big deal for me since you need a code at the entrance to get into the hotel. So i kinda was feeling more secure. I would definitely come back in this hotel.* Price was very good for this location and size of the room. *We wanted to have breakfast in some cafes in town so we didnt tried the one at the hotel. *Rooms were very clean. (Cleaning service comes every two days but you can always ask if you need something) *Staff responded quickly to my messages and were very kind. *Wifi connection was working very well.

As i mentioned above i would definitely come back in this hotel.* Just keep in mind that rooms dont have a fridge. *Maybe in bathroom some toiletries would be a nice touch. They had only some basic hand soap and shower gel.

Good hotel in walking proximity to city center. It is located 10-15 minutes walk to center, but it protect from very noisy nightlife. AFter check in they sent us quite detailed explanation of check-in procedure and explanation how to enter their "short-term" parking - it may be used only for dropping laggage/check in and has different addreass then official hotel address (entrance to hotel yard is from side street - it si important for navigators). We arrived late, after entering hotel lobby we just picked up our keys from special key holder near reseption desk and went directly to the room - no any formalities. The hotel has own parking in the basement but it is impossible to book it in advance. When we arrived it was full. So we have parked Parkhaus Zentrum Süd which is big, located just 5 min walk from the hotel and cost 15 Eur/24h.

Before arrival we were informed by mail access code to enter main door. But we could not open the door with it when arrived. Fortunately other hotel guest exit the hotel and open the door. When I claimed next morning to the reception about that, they said that nobody elsy faced such problem - maybe I did something wrong or read instruction not attentive... After entering hotel lobby with access code you must pick up you keys from key holder. Hotel staff indicate room guest name on the keychain, but only first and last letters. I didn't understand it right away as I was very tired after long journey and spent some time looking for my keys. It is probably good solution for privacy matter, but better inform about that beforehand.

Overall, very happy, and exceeded expectations. The location was superb. The toilet and shower facilities were a highlight as it is very rare to have such quality in these kinds of accomodation. The overall communication was great.

I thought the information regarding the access point was a little confusing as it appeared to say that access was NOT by Willie Lessing Street. But this is only a minor detail.

You can basically check-in and check-out at any hour, without the need to call someone as you'll be receiving an email with the code that unlocks the the main door and then you'll find a badge card at the entrance with your name that will be the key for your room. Rooms are modern and spacious. In the bathroom you have a timer-controlled heating element that will keep you warm after showers. The staff is truly adorable and ready to help you at any time, thanks especially to breakfast team!

We found the breakfasts price a bit too high.

Initially the concept of no reception personnel and having to check in on a door keyboard was not too palatable but once we accomplished this impersonal feat the rest of our stay was delightful. Secure underground bile parking. Lift to upper floors . Room was quite large , very clean and very bright . Nice bathroom with great shower and water pressure . Free tea , coffee and mineral water downstairs in the breakfast room . Really good and reasonably priced Italian restaurant immediately next door . The breakfast downstairs was absolutely great with many many hot and cold food choices . The women preparing the breakfast buffet was an absolute delight - smiling and joking and certainly made the atmosphere much more pleasant. Bountiful fresh fruit and a plethora of other choices . Breakfast room appears to have been an old bank vault with the massive vault door still in place . Immediately off the Main and on the bike trail

Really feel more comfortable with a human working at the reception desk when checking in but this method worked well

Very enjoyable stay! Room was very comfortable and newly renovated. Just a short walk to the old town and to Weyermann Spezialmalze and other out-of-the-way brewery/restaurants and neighborhoods,

I checked in late, and the hotel hight employee said I could park overnight in the check-in/check-out lot. Upon checking out, the morning emplyee said I was not allowed to park there overnight.

Location: not even 10 minutes good walk from Bamberg railway station, easy reach by car, too The building was formerly a bank location, thoroughly rebuilt into in a boutique hotel. I got a room at upper floor with breathtaking view to the Cathedral (Dom), Kloster Michelsberg und die Old Castle (Altenburg). Room very nicely and sustainably furnished in a very lighted atmosphere, with trendy old wood, you feel really the touch not only of an architect but of a loving family that act as "Gastgeber" as its said in German. The great surprise in the morning: you get a very rich and healthy breakfast "downstairs", assuming this is old building cellar... and you be welcome by smiley competent and welcoming personnel into the bank vault, furnished with safety box (old) and fully shining vault door... felt like in the Harry Potter saga, visiting Gringotts! Very modern way to welcome the guests, through a reception which is working business hours ...as in the former bank :), with a very efficient and flawless mail communication where you will be given entry code in case you arrive later, and all instructions to retrieve your key. DO NOT FORGET to take the key along when you venture out in Bamberg! Hotel offers no restaurant, but there's one just outside the hotel, really 5 steps, or stroll around Bamberg and spoil yourself with ample choices. thanks for the hospitality, Vielen Dank, jederzeit sehr gerne wieder!
