It's in the center of old twon Staff are patient and nice Room is small but cozy. Bed ist good. Dog can stay here without problem, no extra charge, no complimentary for dogs.

also it's too center. Difficult to access by a car, forget about driving there. Roads are almost always one way, so if you're lost, one more big round. It took me more than 30 mins to find the spot to park and get there. To help you reducing you time, go to Tiefgarage Altstadt. 18€ 24h. It's sometimes loud at night cause it surrounds by restaurants and bars so people stick around and drink and make noise.

The room itself was clean and spacious, nicely furnished, the bathroom was also good, with an old wooden window with spingalets, and the hotel location is just perfect, at least for a couple days travelling purposes—it’s right in the city center, surrounded by small cafés and authentic pubs and some Italian restaurants, all located in gorgeous historically preserved old buildings. Breakfast was included, and there was a standard yet nice and fulfilling variety of food (buffet): bread, pastry, cheese/meat slices, cereals and jams + tea/coffee as much as you wish.

It is worth taken into consideration that such location has its flip side. When the weather is good and it’s weekends, people stay outside of the nearby pub, popular and crowded in the evening, they are talking and drinking, and at midnight and past that it gets fairly noisy. And bc air conditioning is not working/doesn’t exist the lack of fresh air makes it inevitable to open the window, and so the noise from the street gets inside the room. But if you’re in a mood for a drink, or maybe this was only bc of the location of the certain room (second floor, end of the hallway), or that I personally do not like stuffy air and used to open the window for regular lüften, it might not be the problem for you. + The water pressure was sufficient, but not strong

Super friendly staff. Clean rooms and very clean bathrooms. Church bells not in sync in the morning made me laugh more than once. The minster being out of sync with the rest of the city's other churches just made me chuckle. If you sit outside in the evenings, you get a chance to talk to very stressed, but unbelievably friendly, chatty and heart-warming staff members. Altogether, a very nice stay.

The desk in my room was sticky with I don't know what. That was a bit disturbing. Which means that cleaning staff is not exactly up to par. That's my only complaint.

Location, location, location, the hotel is right in the oldest part of Bamberg and right next to the cathedral, it is genuinely a beautiful city, with a vibrant nightlfe right on your doorstep, as a Brit a vibrant nightlife could be stag dos and hen parties with night clubs but this is Germany so traditional German inns and just people socialising. The room was super clean and shower great. Its not the most modern but is comfortable (bed was rreally comfortable) and in character with the area. The continental breakfast was good and more than adequate, not much else to say. I would definitely stay here again, The staff were helpful and my daughter who was staying as well was travelling onto NYC so they helped her find a laundry as no in house service. The atmosphere here is relaxed, theres a lot of tourists around (quite a few from Germany) and it feels safe and welcoming.

The hotel does not accept guests from 12 to 3, I couldn't see an option to drop off our bags before 3 but that was a minor issue and I could of missed that option. It meant that I ended up drinking beer and eating cake in a cafe whilst I waited. Other than that it was really good.

Good room in a very old historical building. Great location for walking. Enclosed parking at the hotel. Nice restaurant which is part of the hotel. A very nice breakfast included.

Very difficult to find and drive to since the hotel looks like it is in a walking only street. Even harder to get out of because the street you came in on is one way and the road is closed at the hotel. A waitress in the street had to tell us how to get out.

Location perfect. Able to walk right out to the square and have the hotel's restaurant there, another one across the square. Always a happy atmosphere, room small but it's an old building. Well maintained and keeping with tradition and the age of the building. Parking available at hotel, so convenient considering its an "old town" historically. Looking out from bedroom to the activities in the square was a bonus. No worries with noise. Very good breakfast, plenty of variety.

Nothing. I can't get used to oversized soft pillows, but they seem to be the traditional thing.....it's only a matter of preference, not a negative.

Gorgeous property overlooking the old town square. Perfect for our two nights. Hotel breakfast was by far the best we’ve had throughout 2 months travelling Europe! Friendly staff.

Pre-booked parking but our hire car was still too big to use the spot so we had to park 10 mins walk away- not their fault but something to think about if short on time. Our bathroom door was also broken/wouldn’t close, we made the property aware.

The hotel and rooms are what you'd expect in the medieval city of Bamberg: it's gloriously antiquated and quaint. That doesn't mean sleeping on uncomfortable beds, or not having a TV in your room -- though if you're in your room watching TV in Bamberg, why are you even there? :) The location is unbeatable. Walking across the street from one of Bamberg's most famous breweries to enter your hotel makes you feel like a rock star. Breakfast was far more impressive, with excellent options, than I'd gotten used to at most places that offer up a couple of pastries. The room's ceiling was low, but I'm not very tall, so that also worked out fine. Having the bathroom en suite was wonderful. I know some of the rooms offer a shared bathroom. Get the en suite. It's worth it.

There was nothing I didn't like. I will stay here again if life has any fairness left in it. I had to cut my vacation short and rush home for a medical emergency. I left in the middle of the night, and rushed to the Frankfurt airport by train for the next available flight. I messaged the hotel through Booking.com, and when they got back to me, we sorted out payment over the phone and they were super cool about everything. They were very understanding and knew that what I needed was a sympathetic ear. Instead of adding to my stress levels, they just took my card number and took care of things. (Thanks again for that.) I will be back.

It’s in the best possible location right in the heart of the town. They have parking for c25 euros per night. The breakfast is fine, nothing special, but ok.

You should be aware that, being right in the centre, with one of the most popular pubs in town just 10 yards away, and with lots of restaurants and bars right outside the pub, the noise from the street is significant. It’s all part of staying in Bamberg and the atmosphere was great, but the partying in the street goes on past 2am every night

it's a lovely typical German hotel in the middle of Bamberg. You cannot get more closer to central. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast was delicious. The price was really reasonable for what you received. What made the hotel really nice was the staff, I had an issue with my room and they immediately changed my room without fuss. Another huge plus as they aren't just there to collect your money. If you ask the staff, they are really helpful.

Please get blackout curtains. Rooms 114, 115, and 116 need blackout curtains as this is towards the main street. If you add those, the place would be 10/10. It is the only reason I gave 9/10
