Excellent access ariving by car, with a multi-storey garage with ample parking. The room itself was ideal, in that it had a combination of tiles and wooden floors, a hugh bed and wow views of the city. Breakfast was remarkable, both from the extensive offering and I would say value for money. Nearby are some wonderful eclectic neighboughoods, such as the Winterfeldtplatz, off the main tourist locale, but in my opinion better value, and a truly great vibe.

My room was arctic cold, the controls had zero effect, and the duvets were summer weight. But the big negative is the ongoing building work, I was offered a first room with scaffolding outside of my 12th floor window, but was then changed to a room, without a view of the building work. For people arriving by car don't forget to get a Umweltplakette Deutschland - an environmental badge that denotes the emissions of your car. Without this pass you can get a 100 euro fine and sent out of the city centre. We picked ours up at a TUV (basically the German MOT station) at a small town Rheine en-route, 6 euros, and you do need your V5C logbook..

We were on Euro 2024 game and slept for 3 nights in RIU Plaza. Hotel was at perfect location. Near is little square wirh Uban station, and best kebeb in town 🤣. From there you can reach all town. If you want to walk there is great brewery BRLo and ist arround 20 -25 min away. We walked all to Alexander platz and its aprox 1 hour. Back to hotel, its rally good, rooms are big (35m2) and its for 3 adalut people more than enough. We didnt eat brekfast in hotel so i cant tell nothing abouth it. The price of hotel was little bit expencier (240 eur/nigt per room) but realy fair if you look other hotels in town in that moment. I believe that is because of Euro 2024. All ii one, we had great experience in Berlin..

Better pillows.

Despite the central location it is very quiet. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location to use public transport.

Tea bags and coffee sachets were not refilled. We stayed 6 nights, but we got only two tea bags and 2 coffee sachets for the whole stay.

Check-in, smoorth, efficient and reasonably quick. We were a group of 27! Rooms spacious (I had a superior room), beds comfortable, bathroom excellent but could do with shower mats, as the shower floor is VERY slippery. Breakfast...as good as it gets, really. Location - just 200m from KaDeWe and 150m from Underground. Close to bus routes, too.

Slippery xhower floor. Bar is a bit "industrial". There's a huge foyer, with plenty of seating and then the bar is stuck in a bit of space that appears to be extra to requirements! Open the bar up, move it into the foyer! Wish there was sauna attached to the gym. Most 65+ don't do gyms but, during the winter, a saune would be wonderful. Minor issues but had to mention them.

The deluxe room we stayed in was a lovely size, well decorated, and the ensuite bathroom was a fair size and well stocked with towels and pillows. The room has a small safe, ideal for keeping your important personal possessions while you are out for the day. There is a kettle and cups in the room, along with tea, coffee, and sugar. There is also a bottle of complimentary sparkling water available for guests. The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few blocks away from the popular KaDeWe and the rest of the Ku'damm shopping precinct. The hotel is located a short walk away from the U-Bahn station Wittenbergplatz, which will make accessing the rest of Berlin fairly simple during your stay at the Riu Plaza Berlin. The hotel also offers parking to its guests, for those guests arriving by car. We enjoyed a drink in the bar on the ground floor, which has an interesting drinks menu. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, but there is a restaurant at the hotel for those guests who opt for their breakfast service.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the tea and coffee offerings in the room itself. This morning, I went to make a cup of tea and discovered that one of the coffee creamer pods was pierced, so I could only use the other pod available. Unfortunately, this pod appears to have been off, as it curdled when added to the hot tea already in the cup. The room had a fridge, which was turned off. Personally, I don't understand why milk for the tea can't be kept in the fridge (coffee creamer is not an ideal accompaniment for tea, in my personal opinion). Just something to consider if you're planning a longer stay and you enjoy drinking tea in the English way.

The location was good. Very central. Parking was included. The condition of the room was good. It seems fairly new or very well taken care of if not. Generally, it was good value for money.

It's a bit basic, the hotel. No dinner service, but they did have a bar with a limited menu. The burger is quite acceptable. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about aside from the very limited choice. Gym is also very basic. Light weights only. The facade appeared to be under construction as well, so there was scaffolding blocking any sort of view from the room. Not a big deal, but it almost felt like having no windows at all. Also the parking is 12 floors up which is tedious.

What stands out above any value to my stay. Is the staff, the people skills that they process. To engage in a pleasant communication about my stay, directions to and from the property and eye contact was fabulous.

Maybe being made aware of the regular protesters and large protesters parades that occur. We felt there was a safety issue when trying to cross the street returning to the property. Once inside the property we felt relaxed enough to watch the parading protestors do their thing in the protesting behavior. I learned after the fact that the protests are a regular assurance for difference groups every week. A safety alert posted would a great idea, at least for my (our) safety and wellbeing as visitors staying at the property. Maybe the presence of a person of security positioned in the lobby would have been comforting, just saying it's a safety concern that should be alerted to know such activities.

room 1407 is very good big and comfortable. 1405- not so great. there is always smell of sewage. the bathroom and toilet are not separated with a door from the room itself.

i did not like that when i booked the rooms the scaffolds were not mentioned. when we arrived the reception updated us that all all the available rooms were with scaffolds and promised there would not be noise coming from the outdoors. Really there was no noise but the landscape was spoiled with the scaffolds. but there was no discount provided .

Room was fine, bathroom was good, all as expected for this level of hotel. View was of scaffolding, not so great. Breakfast was excedllent, huge choice and more than happy to cook fresh. Location was good for us, we were attending the Euros finals, but were also planning a short stay in Brelin. Thgis hotel is just 20-30mins from the stadium or Berlin central by underground, with the underground station no more than a 10 min slow walk. Free parking was really useful, getting to thecar park was a real pain! We were on the 12th floor, had to go to reception in the lift, change to what felt like the service lift, only to go upto the 12th floor of the car park! Therefore, if you drive, pull up out the front and check in, unload your bags and then go and then go and park.

Obvoiously due to the timing of our stay I could not tell you it was great value for money, but in comparison to other hotels for the same time period and of the same standard i could not complain.

Great location and facilities. Really helpful staff. Amazing shower and bed, they made my room everyday (something that some places don’t have anymore). Stayed for 4 days and it was just great.

Just to say something, currently they are doing some work outside and scaffolding was set outside my windows on the last day of stay (floor 14, amazing view btw). And on my last day at 8am on a Saturday, they wanted to clean my room…I was sleeping after a long night, woke up when they came in. Not good since ny checkout was 11am.
