Superb location, even if not particularly central — but with good transport access, a lot of space, great matresses, selection of teas, bathtub (and a Lush nearby-ish!), clean and neat bath, KaDeWe nearby

- Provide harder pillows! I was given harder pillow upon request which was still pretty soft. Some people need better neck support - Add blackout blinds! harder to sleep when light comes through

The hotel is in an excellent location, about 1 minute from Nollendorfplatz U-bahn, 10 minutes from the Ku-damm and in the heart of Berlin's Gay Quarter. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The room was simple but comfortable and clean and faced away from the street so there was no noise from outside. Breakfast was plentiful and varied with a light cooked option available as well as continental. Free tea/coffee and cake is available from around 2 pm. Excellent value for money - I would definitely go back.

There is a little bit of noise leakage from other rooms - doors closing etc. - but nothing to spoil the trip.

Amazing full-fat wide-ranging German buffet breakfast for all pallets!! Enough for vegetarians, vegans and hardcore carnivores. The free unlimited coffee after 2pm every day was a small but typical gesture that summed up the hospitable and charming nature of this old-world hotel a stone’s throw from the heart of Berlin‘s gay district immortalised by Christopher Isherwood in his book ‘Goodbye to Berlin’

No communal seating area other than the breakfast hall where you could go to relax instead of being cooped up in the room after a hard day pounding the streets of Berlin; a small living room type area set aside to read and relax would have been perfect

My experience at Hotel Sachsenhof couldn't have been better. Both of the gentlemen at the reception desk were very welcoming, informative and even humorous putting me right at ease. My room had a garden view and even an outdoor patio to sit and read. This hotel is close to a transportation hub, groceries, bistros, bars and nightlife. ++++ The breakfast service was exceptional offering delicious quality hot and cold foods that appeal to a variety of guests and diets. I recommend Hotel Sachsenhof without reservation (no pun intended).

There were guests who were sneezing and coughing in the café area which is disturbing to American guests who are masking up with the current resurge of COVID in the USA. This is a metropolitan issue in Berlin and perhaps a national health issue with the relaxing of precautions there.

Convenient location - right next to the ubahn, bus stop. All tourist spots can be reached quickly. The hotel itself is good, the staff are extremely friendly. Good value for money, I think I would come back. Also, don't forget to check out the Urban Nation gallery right next door!! 💕

Certain things should be updated, for example, both shower and window curtains should be changed. A kettle would also be useful in the room. I hope it's just my experience, but I didn't feel very safe near the hotel, there was a person screaming for hours near the entrance, which kept me up at night, but it's probably Berlin things.. 😁

The room was comfortable, ofa good size and simply but appropriately furnished. The range of choice at breakfast was good, catering for just about every taste. The location, being close to the Nollendorfplatz, was particularly convenient for us visiting friends nearby, but the transport links to the rest of the city are excellent.

The pillows! They were made of foam and provided little support. We asked for extra pillows but that didn't help very much. A pity as the bed itself and the duvets were excellent.

We have stayed in this very nice hotel three times and would return again. We especially like the vibrant neighbourhood and the proximity of the U-Bahn station, as well as the hotel which is clean and comfortable, as well as competitively priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was warm and quiet. Although quite small, it was well-equipped for a short stay. We like the fact that there is a water dispenser in the dining area and we could take glass bottles of sparkling water to our room. Tea and coffee are also available free from the dining room at certain times of the day.

The breakfast choices were good enough but fairly limited. The coffee machine was unreliable and we didn't get a decent brew out of it on any of the four mornings that we purchased breakfast! We missed being able to make a warm drink in the bedroom in the morning whilst getting ready.

Clean and comfortable room, with lots of storage, a safe a Tv. In the bathroom, nice towels, hairdryer and soap. The location is good and very convenient for reaching all Berlin. Also, it is a safe area. Fresh water, tea, and coffee every day at 2 pm. The room was surprisingly well tempered, although there was no ac, and on the fourth floor, there was a movable fan. Friendly and helpful people in the reception.

The blinds could have been more useful, very bright in the morning. The mattresses are too hard. A top mattress would do the trick. This is the first hotel I've stayed in, where one guy worked in the afternoon, told me they didn't have an ice cube, when asked after a day of 33 degrees outside. It turned out after they switched staff they had, and I got a glass full.

Second stay here, and would definitely return. I like the location, the history. My room, on the third floor (4th for North Americans) facing a back garden, was very quiet. Single rooms are small, but suited my needs.

One thing, not a dealbreaker, but the room had only vertical blinds which were not so great at keeping the sunlight out in the morning. Additional curtains would be welcome.

The design of the room and the big windows. The view from our room was in the main street. The staff was great, they speak english very well and you can ask them about everything and they will answer you. I personally ask them about the public transport and the ticket and they gave me the best solution. I didn't try the breakfast but I think it was good too. And they have free coffee from 2PM to 8PM.

Overall I liked all so I do not have something that I did not like.
