Comfortable beds and somewhat private Room, kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and easy to use Friendly staff Easy check in Light at each bed Great location (1hr walk to castles if you don't take the bus) super close to rail station. Plenty on storage in room

Shower didn't have lock on the doors, on the actual showers or the entrance door. No locks on room doors, technically anyone can enter the premises during reception hours. Kitchen closes at 8pm and not open during lunch period Other mention there only three toliets are two shower rooms but this wasn't a problem when I was there.. may be an issue in summer Would be good to have curtains on the beds No charging station at beds but big extension can fit many charges

The location of the hostel is in the center of the old town, with lots of shops, restaurants, and walking distance to the train/bus station and the Hohes Castle. The instruction of check-in is clear, the owner is very friendly. The room (oriental) is clean and spacious enough even though it's a 9-bed room. The bedding and sheets are clean, the bed is comfy. Clean shared bathroom and toilet. Kitchen is available on the top floor but power supply is only available during certain hours.

Would be more perfect to provide basic shower gel and hand soap in the shower room.

Likely the best hostel that is more like a hotel right in the city center. There is a self check-in option if you arrive late but there is always staff nearby if you need help. We had a hostel style room with about 5 beds but it was private for me and my nephew. The beds were clean, like a hotel bed. There are shared showers and toilets on the hallway, also very very clean. Upstairs there is a kitchen and also a terace. The man who checked us in was very kind and was happy to share all sorts of activities to do in the area, as well as give tips on how to easily visit the castles nearby. The location is right in the towncenter so many restaurants to go to and eat. They give a free buspass to travel close to the castles and from there you can walk or take a (paid) horse carriage. There is parking free on a street nearby Augsburgerstrasse past the Best Western, maybe 8 minute walk. The host can tell you exactly where to go. You can't drive right up to the hotel because it's a pedestrian street Wifi worked well. Could have stayed for a few days but we were out of time.

Very clean, very nice friendly and helpful staff and everything is high spec and looked after. I can’t understand some of the negative reviews, especially those who did not like the ‘vibe’. You stay in Fuessen so you can visit the most incredible caste in the world - not to find friends and ‘be social’. Get a life!

I thought the kitchen opening hours were quite restrictive, especially for people who have early trains to catch. If you chose a dorm there are no sockets next the beds and generally some of the sockets have timings on them so be careful if you plug in your phone overnight as it may be drained by the time you wake up!

I love the design of the place. It felt like I am really in Bavaria. There are seperate shower rooms and comfort rooms for men and women. There's a kitchen room on the 3rd floor, where we can cook and eat with friends. There's also a terrace where people can go and smoke. I love the location of the place. It's at the center of everything. 😍

I think they can place a cover for every bed for multiple beds so that they can feel a bit more private even when they are traveling alone.

Located right in the centre of the town, it is very handy to the train station and restaurants. The hostel has an odd configuration as you enter, with all the stairs, but the rooms and bathrooms are very nicely presented and maintained. We were pleasantly surprised and had a very comfortable stay.

You have to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs, but that didn't bother us overly, and we had no problems with our stay. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Extremely close to the bus station and within walking distance of Festspielhaus Neuschwanstein, as well as other landmarks. Very friendly staff, free wifi, good value for money. There are several neighboring local restaurants, small shops, and souvenir stores that stay open relatively late.

A bit warm during hot summer days, but opening a window helps quite a bit. Number of available communal showers could be increased, but not too big of an issue if you time it well.

Great location, in the middle of a really beautiful street with nice restaurants and shops.. also not far from the station and the bus to Schloss Neuschwanstein. The room and surrounding bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. There's a nice outdoor terrace as well and they provide luggage storage in a well -hidden location

The bed wasn't that comfortable. Especially for a tall (1.95m) person. It's is walled on four sides so I couldn't really lay down flat. Also there only are outlets on one area of the room.. since my phone is my life I want to keep it near me and my bed at all times.

Perfectly located. Fussen is a rather small town and the hostel is primed center. Lovely, quaint 2nd floor balcony. Extremely courteous staff. Very well kept and clean. Adequate kitchen on 3rd floor. Anything desired, is well within walking distance. Very close to train station.

My only grip and it’s solemn. 8 beds crammed into a rather small room. Mind you, this was end of August and it was beyond bloody hot. And I’m from FLORIDA! No air circulation at all. No air conditioning. I do not understand, why these hostels do not invest in some kind of fan for a wee bit of air circulation?

The location of the stay is in the city center. Perfectly close to all touristy places, restaurants, public transport. The shared hostel room was clean and spacious. It also had a nice balcony to chill. We were offered complimentary city pass during checkin and could roam around in the city for free in public buses. The bathrooms are neat and maintained.

The wifi never reaches the room and was a hassle. The bathrooms are a little far from the room especially showers. The beds are comfortable but a little squeaky and wobbly. I could hear and feel whenever the person in the top bed moved.
