Super friendly and cosy. Room was clean and looked recently refurbished. Michelle the host was exceptionally friendly with great recommendations for restaurants, local area etc and extremely accommodating to the children fun and engaging also making the the best hot chocolate they ever tasted! We really enjoyed our stay. Highly highly recommended. Being situated on the lake is amazing the walk to the town is only 20mins and it is a lovely walk up the King Ludwig Promenade pedestrian/ cycle way. With stunning views.

Absolutely loved our stay. Book as you will not regret it. Host was truly amazing; informative, attentive and just a very kind person. We ran late to check in he was very responsive with instructions. Breakfast was delicious and a good spread of different options. Impressed that host gets most if not all locally sourced. It’s a beautiful property and really close to castle. We loved the town so much that we are already planning our next visit. Linens were soft, bedding and bed were fantastic. There’s no AC but we didn’t need it as it cooled down at night. Thanks again for being amazing 😻host.

Would love to have better shampoo and conditioner. All in one doesn’t work for ladies.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely selection at breakfast and all very tasty. Coffee, tea and water available at all times in the reception area. Rooms were a good size with beautiful views. Comfortable pillows! Nice walk into town. Would happily stay again.

Our room was not in the main house and the heating was off, we didn't know this until we got in after dinner so it was a cold night. The shower ran very hot then cold it was difficult to keep it a constant temperature.

The room was so spacious and perfect for a family of 3 all needing separate beds. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional! Parking was closeby. The best part really was the owner, Michel. He was incredibly kind and friendly with giving us so many recommendations on everything from activities to beer! He also speaks a handful of languages. The property is right on the lake with lovely views and activites very near.

As soon as we pulled up to Gästehaus Forggensee our dear host opened the door and greeted us as if we were family returning home. He was so accommodating and recommended places to go and things to do, all which were just a short walk or drive away. He even allowed us to use the breakfast room for a store bought light dinner evening of card games. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were the best we’ve had in Europe so far.

The room our friends stayed in lacked a blow dryer and a suitcase stand, which would have been nice.

An extraordinary location with only a few steps away to a magnificent lake and mountains view. The owner is very devoted to give the best service. He explained everything just at the checkin.

Breakfast is quite poor in diversity but all the products are local and fresh.

There is a good quality coffee machine avaialble to use at all times, The owner was very helpfulll, even making a special Latte for us on arrival. A good choice of breakfast options, The rooms were very clean. Its location is excellent for visiting the Castle.

The pillows did not work well for us. An optional pillow choice would have been appreaciated.

They were very welcoming. I am pregnant so they upgraded our room to a better one (it was more convinient with my big belly). We had a very good view to the lake and Neuschwanstein castle. There is a free coffee and tea station at the reception, availabe 24/7. Good location, the center is close, and supermarkets also…

The room, the bathroom, the location, the breakfast's selection, the free parking spot and the staff: everything exceeded our expectations! We had an amazing time and, although this was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed in during our vacation, it was absolutely worth the price. Very highly recommended.

Nothing here, it was amazing!

Great location facing the lake. Private parking. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. About 2 km. From the Old center of town of Fussen. Great spot to use as a base for day trips to the castle, or to Partnach Gorge. Or just a lovely walk around the lake before breakfast. Michel, who runs the hotel, is one of the most generous, kind, and friendly and accomodating persons I have ever met. He makes you feel so much at home at this nice little hotel. It was a pleasure staying there for three nights and not easy to leave on the last morning.

There wasn't anything we did not like.
