As soon as we pulled up to Gästehaus Forggensee our dear host opened the door and greeted us as if we were family returning home. He was so accommodating and recommended places to go and things to do, all which were just a short walk or drive away. He even allowed us to use the breakfast room for a store bought light dinner evening of card games. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were the best we’ve had in Europe so far.

The room our friends stayed in lacked a blow dryer and a suitcase stand, which would have been nice.

Great location facing the lake. Private parking. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. About 2 km. From the Old center of town of Fussen. Great spot to use as a base for day trips to the castle, or to Partnach Gorge. Or just a lovely walk around the lake before breakfast. Michel, who runs the hotel, is one of the most generous, kind, and friendly and accomodating persons I have ever met. He makes you feel so much at home at this nice little hotel. It was a pleasure staying there for three nights and not easy to leave on the last morning.

There wasn't anything we did not like.

The entire place was amazingly clean. Mattress and bedsheets were extremely comfy and provided an outstanding rest that we needed after a long day. Breakfast covered everything we needed and coffee/tea was available throughout the day (and night). Michel and his staff were phenomenal! Super friendly and very attentive. We'd definitely come again! Thank you Michel!!

Very nice staff, which made you feel welcome from the very first moment. Large and clean family room, with good beds and nice bathroom. The view on the lake was wonderfull, city center was walking distance and the other attractions were close. Fresh breakfast, very tastefull with regional selections.

This is an adorable little property right on the Forggensee. It is a small, family run business, and you could tell the owner puts a lot of care into taking care of his guests. It is an easy walk to Füssen, and a quick drive to Neushwanstein Castle and surrounding attractions.

The furniture is definitely on the older side and a little mis-matched. For me, the bed was quite firm, but I often feel that way about European mattresses.

The breakfast was good. The room was large and meet our expectations. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent and the view was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect place to stay in Fussen.

Very clean room and bath. Quiet. Great location with a path into town right next to hotel, a swimming beach just a short walk away, the lake tour boat pier is across the street as well as a café. The breakfast was very good, the quality of food excellent.

There weren't any bug screens on the windows. Without air conditioning in the rooms the windows had to be closed at night to keep the bugs out.

The host went above and beyond to see that we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was fresh and kids loved the hot chocolate that the host prepared with great affection. The place was immaculate and very well maintained.

Superb family room, lovely owner, clean.

A wee bit more selection at breakfast would have been nice. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would also have been welcome (however having chatted to the owner on this topic, a communal 24hr tea/coffee/microwave area will be installed during the end of 2022 season closure).

Michele and Johan were excellent hosts. They were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to be around. The airline lost our luggage and they made every attempt to help us in getting it back. The hotel is lovely, clean comfortable and close to many restaurants and shops. It was the perfect pit stop for our trip to Italy and France. The breakfast was perfect. The coffee; delicious. The rooms were well decorated and perfectly functional.

there is nothing not to like about this location and the hosts!
