The hotel had a great location in the "Old Town" which was fun to explore. It was also a short and easy walk from the train station. The spiraling staircase and the lush decor were no doubt inspired by the nearby castles. We arrived early and the upgraded us to an available room. And they also provided storage of our luggage on departure day. The breakfast was quite lovely, presented nicely with many options, and worth the money. I had conversations with three different people in the reception area, and all were very nice and helpful.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Hotel Ludwigs. I read reviews from others complaining about there not being a lift/elevator. However, that's to be expected in Old Town areas, and the short jaunt up the steps was quite like the steps in the Neuschwanstein Castle.

The hotel was very cosy and the staff polite and helpful. Only one of them was somewhat rude once but this does not count to the overall impression I got. Centrally located, provided access to mant sights on the vicinity. Breakfast was plenty with several choices to cater for all tastes. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Value for money!

There were no ashtrays nowhere outside so if you smoked you could not put out your cigarette anywhere. Some breakfast items looked as if they were leftovers especially doughnuts and bakery stuff.

I loved that it was a historical building in an amazing location. Great shopping and dining g options right out the front door. There was limited Onsite parking but very convenient . We opted for the breakfast package which was excellent. We discovered the staff member responsible for such an exceptional breakfast had only been in the role for 2 weeks. She does an amazing job. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and engaging.

No lift! We were on the 4 th floor but chalked it up to being part of the experience of staying in an historic building. Staff members were more than willing to assist with luggage . Aldo no phone or coffee/tea in the rooms . NOTE: Historic buildings must adhere to strict retrofit guidelines which is the reason for the lack of phones or lifts.

1) The location of the hotel is very convenient, within walking distance of the train station, in the picturesque old town/city center. 2) Friendly and courteous staff. 3) Beautiful and clean room. Comfortable bed, soft pillows and warm blankets. Quick WI-FI! 4) There are all amenities - soap/gel/shampoo and towels, hairdryer. There are glasses, a refrigerator and a safe. 5) The restaurant menu is quite extensive, it was delicious to have dinner.

1) A view of a secondary street, without special scenery. 2) Before check-in, I wrote to the hotel staff asking to provide "royal" style room. I was told that all the rooms are in this style, but we were accommodated in a neutrally beautiful room, without an emphasis on "royalty".

The room and the whole hotel is very nicely decorated. The room is clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed, TV, armchair, desk with a chair, and the window opens into an emergency door. The bathroom is very nice and clean. The breakfast is the absolute best ! For only 11 euros, you get to eat as much as you like from the buffet which offers a variety of cheese, cold cuts, sausages, scrambled eggs, pastries and cakes, cereals, as well as hot and cold drinks. And all that food is absolutely delicious ! I would eat a hearty breakfast and not need to eat again until supper !

Nice vibe when entering the hotel, staff very friendly, property is well kept, rooms were very neat, clean, spacious. The small fridge in one room was handy. The hotel is in the old town and a great place to start your tour through Füssen.

The entrance for rooms 51-54 is near the garbage collection area for the block around the hotel resulting in a horrible smell in the passage leading to the rooms, compared to passages / rooms in the other building smelling fresh and clean. The hotel should consider an extractor fan to remove this odour from the building.

The location, and food were excellent. The breakfast catered for all tastes and you could eat as much as you liked. Personally I would have preferred the water just as water but they had put leaves and fruit in the jug so my children wouldn't drink it, and had to wait and have water from the tap in our room. The location was great ,right in the middle of the old town. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. Castle Neuschwanstein was only about 3 miles away and we only got a taxi as it was pouring with rain the day we went. Taxis were easy to find and very friendly but you could 'nt get an Uber in Fussan. We were very grateful for the fans in our room as it was very hot when we went.

There was a kettle but no cups or other tea making facilities facilities. Also the sockets were in odd places, we had to crawl under the table to plug our phones into charge,but this was partly because the fans were in the more accessible sockets,and we couldn't have managed without the fans.

Loved almost everything, but would have been a perfect score if it had a lift. Best location. Fantastic breakfast. Very clean. Convenient parking available, although a bit tricky to find.

Not much negative to say at all. No lift. Mixed views on staff. Staff at bar (male and female) didn’t come and serve our table for drinks but then made smart comment when we came to the bar to order. Female was too busy looking at her phone. Saying that, another male staff member who was at reception when we left was wonderful and I couldn’t rate high enough.

- We were 4 persons in total (me, my husband, my mum and my aunt) and we received rooms close to another in a sort of a separated area, like an apartment, but each room with its own bath and amenities (plus small chocolates on the pillows which was a very nice touch). - The breakfast was very good and in a very nice location. - Location of this hotel is very good, right in the middle of the excitement. - I also recommend the hotel's restaurant, we ate some really good food there, specific for the area.

The reception hall was a bit too narrow and small so it was difficult when there was a line but it is something you can easily get passed

The beds are very comfortable - the shower and bathroom are clean and the a/c helped a lot. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is located in the middle of the pedestrian zone and that was very nice once you have parked your car.

The shower floor was slippery when wet- maybe you can think of a way to make the bathroom a bit safer. What I found not so good was the directions to find the hotel and its parking lot.
