The bathroom was spacious and sparkling clean, the room overall was architecturally interesting and trendy- very well done. The hospitality staff (Phillip and Felix) are professional and warmly welcoming and added a lot to our stay in Heidelberg. Housekeeping staff was excellent. Location was perfect for us.

Everything was very nice and there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. For our situation of being on an extended trip, an on site laundry room would have been ideal. We used the cleaners down the street and we didn’t care for it.

We arrived early and they allowed us to book in as our room was ready The carpark has automatic doors allowing you entry into the parking, the lift is right opposite the automatic doors into the building, there are also toilets, ideal after a long journey. Air conditioning in room worked really well. Very comfortable bed, coffee machine. The location is ideal for exploring the old town, walking distance to the funicular railway to take you up to the castle, restaurants etc

Everything… if what I needed wasn’t obvious, someone was there to help. Amenities were perfect - not too many, not too few. Staff were friendly and helpful from Felix at reception, to the two wait staff at dinner - superb! - to closing discussion with Thom. The facility is WELL designed and fits into its historic building. I would stay here again a hundred times over. I especially liked the ability to leave the car in a safe garage. Danke schooner!

Absolutely nothing to complain about.

This pleasant hotel is situated nicely at the edge of Altstadt, so walking into town is easy, but still the area is relatively quiet. This is best appreciated on the really wonderful roof terrace, where you have a really pretty view of the surrounding hills and hardly believe you are in town. They do not serve drinks here, but you can pick them up yourself and have a really lovely time in the quiet. The rooms did everything right (sockets in the right places etc) and the breakfast is really very pleasant, nice fresh fruit and good bread, can be taken inside or outside on the patio.

The parking garage is a bit small, and if it is crowded you have to leave a key so that they can manouvre the cars in and out. Works well though.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, right by the old town. The hotel decor is quite austere/modernist - a spacious, calm setting. There was a pleasant small courtyard. Breakfast was very good - an interesting, varied cold buffet (some hot food could be ordered but we never felt we needed more). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

The location of the Art Hotel is perfect for exploring the old part of the town which is beautiful. My room was right at the top of the hotel with lovely views of the church and roof tops with plenty of window light. I had a wonderfully big bathroom with a large walk in shower and bath...I just loved all the space in this room.

Excelkent location, quiet and convenient to main attractions. Thank you so much to Felix in reception and Pedro at breakfast (very good) for making us feel very welcome and helping us in English. We still apologise for our poor German, but we're working on it. We would definitely stay again.

Really liked the big bath but the sink tap was too fiddly.

Lovely atmosphere of hotel. Spacious bedroom and bathroom with very good and quiet air conditioning (luckily given the heat outside). Friendly and relaxed service from all the staff we encountered in our six day stay. Excellent breakfast.

We liked everything.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was very tasty. Philip was especially kind and helpful. He made dinner recommendations and reservations for us and provided lots of other excellent tips.

Overall a bit of a high price tag due to added cost of parking, breakfast and children’s cots.

Intelligent , well-informed staff ….everyone working on the main desk spoke excellent English and knew Heidelberg very well …one morning I came late for breakfast but was still able to get coffee , bread , cheese , ham and pastries ….

The only minus was that I had no view from my window ….
