The location is very central in the old city (Altstadt) – directly at the Marktplatz and beside the town hall (Rathaus). 300 meters to the old bridge and 200 meters to the furnicular (Bergbahn). Simply you can reach all major touristic sites on foot within 5 minutes. The administration team is very nice, helpful and well-organized. Breakfast is good, with cold food, nice coffee, cooked eggs and a variety of vegetable/fruit.

There is no elevator, but it is well informed and very common to old buildings in Germany. Also as mentioned by multiple guests, the Marktplatz is quite noisy at night, so it might be a major concern if you are a light sleeper.

The location is unbeatable, just in the centre, in front of the old bridge. We could put our bicycles in an internal space, a bit disgusting because of the stinking garbage containers, but at least that is a better protection against theft ;-) The breakfast was good and included in the price.

It was the day of the CSD fest, and there were millions of people in HD. All of the of course like to be close to the centre, and there is a night club just on the side of the hotel. In summer you want to have some fresh air to sleep and keep the windows open, and thus you'll enjoy an amazing amount of noise until 4.00 in the morning. No problem if your brain can filter that out, mine couldn't :-(

it is a nice old building hotel right next to the Town's Hall. Thus, it is just a few steps from basically everything you could explore in the old city. Location is absolutely awesome...one basically falls into bed after a nive evening out for dinner. Also, heaps of shopping opportunities around. The room was very spacious and beds were clean and comfy

The bathroom was very small and basic but it is an old building. In our case, the shower doors did not close well and there was a large gap to spill water on the floor. Also, the suitcase rest almost came off the wall. The wardrobe was also basic and only a few hangers in there. Breakfast is basic but staff very forthcoming. All in all it was very good value for the price. At our time of travel, there were not too many people around which made it nice and quiet (except for the weekend noisers outside).

I found the room and in particularly the bed comfortable. I like these old style German hotels. It’s extremely convenient right in the middle of the old city at the end where things happen. The breakfast was good. The reception staff was very pleasant and even entertaining, which I really appreciate, traveling alone. I thought they did a very good job With making us feel warm and looked after. And then when the fan was broken in my room, they gave me another one.

The location could not have been better and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed which always makes a big difference for me when staying anywhere. We were also very pleased with the variety of food on offer for breakfast, and coffee served by the staff (as a pose to self-service) was very much appreciated. We were the last guests to arrive for breakfast but everything was still fresh and fully stocked. The room was comfortable and very clean.

The interior of our room was a little dated in style, but nevertheless was in very good condition.

I found this hotel based on its location to the Heidelberg half marathon. It was a fantastic location, and the parking garage was right around the corner. There was a discounted fee to park as well due to staying at the hotel. The breakfast was very tasty with a variety of offerings. Staff was amazing. The rooms are simple, not updated, and there were a lot of people out drinking the night we were there and making noise till 3 am. But, I just turned up my white noise app on my phone. All good.

The carpet could've been cleaner; you can tell that the vacuum needs to be emptied. We had a corner room so it had windows on both sides, and it's a college town so you'll have people out and about laughing and having fun till late hours.

The location was excellent. Right in the middle of the square where plenty of restaurant and drink options are available. Perfect location. The building is like grandma's house decorated. The charm of the uneven floors and the perfect imperfections are enjoyable. When we arrived we all had a mini package of Haribo gummie bears on each of our pillows. Such a fun way to welcome guests.

In general Heidelberg is very hard to find parking. We drove a large van that was too large for the parking garage. It was nice in the morning we were able to park in the square to load our suitcases before the restaurants opened. There was also no AC available. At least we got a fan.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located in the historic area of the Heidelberg, next to a large plaza and within walking distance of the main attractions (tram to the castle, river, main historic streets). Public parking was available, located 2 and a half blocks away and very easy to use. Breakfast was very good.

Awesome location at the city center. I had a room on 5th floor. Though there is no elevator, still it was fine. I had most amazing view of fireworks on the bridge from my room as very luckily I was in the town on the day of Castle fireworks. Had a great rest with view of fireworks from bed. Breakfast spread was very standard. Staff is most amazing and friendly.

The location is perfect for exploring the old town and castle. The staff were all brilliant-everyone we spoke to went above and beyond to help , eg finding us parking for a high vehicle. Nice to stay in an individual hotel and have breakfast included.

Nothing -though do note it does not have a lift.
