Originally booked 2 rooms, one suite (which was very nice) and one room. The tiny room #401 was under the roof without AC and had a roof rafter blocking the bathroom door. I promptly hit my head. Lady at reception claimed that she could not doo anything about it because we booked through booking.com! After inquiring with a gentleman at the reception we were able to switch to a standard room. CAUTION, do not rely on the pictures of the rooms under the roof they do not show the obstruction!

Really loved everything about our stay. Hotel is clean and well furnished. We had 2 rooms connected by an outdoor walkway, which was perfect for our family of 5. Rooms were large and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Hotel is about a 10 min walk to Trudering train stop in a nice neighborhood. Easy train ride to the Marienplatz. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was so cutely decorated and very clean. We ate dinner both nights at the Gasthof Obermaier. It’s literally steps from the hotel. Has a wonderful Biergarten. And the food is delicious. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. We wished we could stay longer. It was our favorite hotel of our entire trip. If you are in Munich, stay here, you won’t regret it.

Our room was huge! The beds were comfy and it was very clean. It had plenty of free parking, a very nice bar and a restaurant that was part of the hotel. Although it is not in the city centre, it is conveniently located only a 5 minute walk from the tram into town. Getting to downtown Munich takes approximately 15 minutes by tram. Breakfast was incredible! Probably the best breakfast of any hotel that we’ve ever been to.

Nothing really other than the fact that guests must be aware that the location is rather in a suburb of Munich, it is not close to the city centre.

amazing hotel, brekfast was fine

we stayed at the hotel on 22.06.2023-24.06.2023. We checked out in the morning on 23.06.2023. However, our train to the next city was at night, so we left our bags at the hotel. when we returned to pick up our bags at night, the children wanted to drink fruit juice at the reception. But the girl at the reception said that we were not allowed to drink the water because we had already checked out. The kids and we were very disappointed

The hotel is very attractive with a special traditional country like architecture with two main two story buildings surrounding a central courtyard for parking. Also has underground parking. Very clean and attractive setting in a nice quiet suburban residential neighborhood with a small village feel to it. Not too far from the city center. Great breakfast! Traditional Brauhaus restaurant next to the hotel. Bonus outdoor ice-cream shop on the corner open into the evening. The Obermaier in my opinion is one of the nicest hotel I stayed in while traveling Europe. 5**

No mini fridge in the room.

Very quiet and comfortable location just on the edge of the city. The room was very big and accommodated a family of 5 very comfortably. Two showers (a nath and a shower) with good water pressure. Beds were comfortable and big - both the double parents bed and the kids sofa-bed. Everything was ready when we arrived (eve the baby cot), and we had a quick check-in experience. The on promises restaurant was very good - a great solution for a hassle-free dinner.

Staff at the reception and the bar seemed a bit impatient and made us feel a little uncomfortable asking what we think were legitimate questions like where can we park and when the restaurant opens. Could be nice to have an electric kettle in the room.

Clean & comfortable. Great location beside good transportation links - bus, S/U-Bahn. Also, cafés, bakeries, supermarkets nearby. We were visiting family nearby, so really only used our Studio at night.

We had fully paid for our accommodation before arrival. However, at check-in, we had to pay a further €500 Deposit (Kaution in German). We have travelled extensively in Europe, USA, Asia and have never experienced this before. it was refunded after checkout but travellers need to be aware of this unpleasant surprise.

The welcome was fantastic and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was brilliant with a huge choice of options. They had a cool bar and reception area with free apples, chocolates, sweets and use of a computer.

Not all rooms had aircon, but we offered a room with a/c but we needed a larger room so chose not to. Also, and this was only our preference, there were no means to make a cup of tea inn the rooms and tea was a bit expensive in the bar.

Ambience was excellant, elegance personified. Staffs were wonderful.

There was no aircon in the room instead they use some natural cooling which was not working. Though they provided padestrial fan - those didn't serve the purpose. Rooms in the second floor are not comfortable as tilted roof makes rooms size awkward. These are not really complaint as I was told that the hotel is a traditional one which dated back 700 years and they wanted to retain the originality.

The rooms are built with lots of wood in a traditional german style but with a modern touch. - Family (parents and 2. kids) was well accommodated in 1. room. - The good food and beer at the restaurant Obermaier which offers german dishes and nice beer garden. - Welcoming place for families. - Friendly service. - Breakfast buffet is very nicely set-up and has a large variety for everyone with good service.
