This Aparthotel as great. Well furnished, great layout. You get more than a hotel room but not quite a full apartment but with all the ammenities like a small kitchen, living room and bedroom combined. Surprisingly it worked. There is also a shared laundry space which is welcome. The staff are very friendly, speak English and eager to help. Clean, comfortable, recommended.

I wasn’t sure about the location. I booked in winter and it got dark about 4pm and freezing. I didn’t feel that safe waking along the street of the hotel toward the main part of town but the other end was great and full of restaurants and generally an interesting area.

Great location within walking distance to the main Train Station and many of Munich's attractions such as the old city with its churches and Beer Halls. Very comfortable, lots of room and the cooking facilities are a bonus.

The combination microwave /oven toaster had no instructions so we never used it. Not a big deal as the hotplate and pots and pans provided were sufficient for us.

I liked the modern design and comfort of the apartment. I slept like a baby, and it was really convenient for exploring the city. Additionally, the fact that it is quite close to the railway station was a bonus, as I had to travel to Nuremberg for a day.

The personnel weren't very polite. I arrived significantly earlier, around 11 am, and asked if it would be possible to have an early check-in. I was told that if it were possible, they would call or text me—a standard response, which was fine. However, when I returned at 4 pm, I was informed that only one room was available, on the first floor, and it smelled a bit stuffy. This was surprising, as they had given a better room to a person who was before me and staying for just one night, while my reservation was for seven nights. After a brief argument, I was given another room, which showed it wasn't the last available room. Later that evening, I saw a group of tourists checking in and heading to the third floor. I don't appreciate being lied to

We are a family of four, so we booked two adjacent studios. The rooms were comfortable, although smaller than what was shown in the pictures. The wifi was excellent, as well as hot water in the shower. The kitchenette had everything needed for a short stay. The hotel is very close to the metro and plenty of tram stops, and very close to the train station and taxis. There are many supermarkets and shops nearby. The staff is very friendly. The price is very good for Munich standards.

The room was very hot and there was no way to fix the room temperature. There was no collection of waste and nobody came to change our towels during our 4-night stay. The area looked a bit unsafe at night.

Apartment was beautiful, stunning decor and was very clean. Good kitchen facilities; cutlery and dishes were very clean and kettle and oven and mini fridge all good too. Comfortable bed and couches/chairs to relax. Good location, about 15 min walk to Marienplatz and close to multiple metro stations. Small grocery store nearby too.

The only negative was we found the heating temperature in the apartment too hot for us. Was set to 21 degrees but cannot be changed due to the central system, which is understandable. Fortunately it can be resolved easily by opening balcony door for fresh winter air to cool the apartment down.

The apartment was a great size and ideally located a short walk from the central station for easy exploration of Munich. The free laundry room complete with free detergent was a huge bonus! Parking is available in a secure garage right under the hotel with lift access so it was easy to bring our luggage in and out. The parking price was more reasonable than other accommodation options.

There’s no individual temperature control & the room was too warm for us. We did ask for assistance, but the temperature is set for the whole hotel. We resolved this by opening the window, but we did hear some traffic noise. We would have preferred to be able to adjust the temperature or have a room facing the courtyard so there would not be any traffic noise when the window was open.

Schwan Locke is located within easy walking distance to Munich train station and the Marienplatz. Multiple restaurants and cafes are close by as is grocery store (Rewe). The staff were excellent - greeting you with a smile every day and a hello. Staff orientated us to our apartment, laundry facilities(free), gym and the local area. The apartment met all our needs, comfortable bed and pillows which is so appreciated when you are travelling from the other side of the world. Munich is a wonderful city to visit and explore - safe to walk around. I can’t say enough about our stay at Schwan Locke and Munich. We highly recommend Schwan Locke.

Nothing not to like

I think the main component that impressed me was how phenomenal the staff were. From being extremely pleasant, professional, friendly and helpful. Truly the staff went above and beyond. The facilities, hotel room, and building in general met a very high standard. We were extremely pleased with our stay.

The only matter which could be improved is the availability of breakfast times and breakfast options. It was abit expensive for what you received. A more varied and more affordable range of options would have been welcomed. Coffee was excellent though and the batista.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Exceptional service and genuine care from the second I arrived at the property. Warm and welcoming, beyond helpful. I'm coeliac and they helped me to find places where I can eat. They really consider the details and are genuinely great people. A pleasure to chat with, all round good energy. The property smells incredible too! We used the co-working space which was really comfortable and convenient, great wine, great coffee. Our go to place to stay for future trips to Munich. 10/10! Thank you to the team, authentic, lovely people.

Great location, especially if you go for Oktoberfest! Short walk from Munich Central Station to Schwan Locke and very close to the city centre. Everything you need for a holiday apartment including a free laundry room in the basement (even free detergent!)... thought I'd mention this as no one ever mentions the laundry lol. Big comfy bed, very good shower. Spotlessly clean.

The TV didn't swivel round as the back of the banquette obstructed it, so it's only possible to watch it when in bed.
