Excellent location neat train station (less than 5 mins) and across the road and through a gate into the old town. Our room wasnt ready when we arrived but as we checked in the Receptionist checked again and a room was ready - very good customer service. Parking directly under hotel at 10 euro per day - we missed the sign for the hotel first time passing but sat nav took us directly back, there's 1 car park at first level down and the Ibis car park is next level down. Room was very small as all Ibis rooms are so knew what to expect - excellent value for money - almost half what we paid in other hotels on our trip. Small bar in lobby where you take your own drinks and when finished pay before you go up to your room. Breakfast was normal Ibis fare and was very good.

AC didn't seem to work. Second morning at breakfast over half the room ended up being taken by a team coach giving a strategy presentation to a team of young boys - which was a bit strange when guests are having breakfast.

I loved the location of the hotel, not even a 5 minute walk from the train station which was great!! The staff were very friendly, especially the lady in charge of breakfast who gave us a lovely smile every morning and was so helpful running around and topping things up! The breakfast was delicious, a fantastic spread. The beds were reasonably comfy given it is a mattress topper not a mattress and the pillows were a good thickness. The shower had great pressure and a large hose head which was perfect. This is a simple hotel which delivers what it promises and you get good value for your money. Great for a shorter stay as perhaps you would want a proper mattress if staying longer than 3 or 4 nights but it was perfect for my partner and I. I would book again without concern. The cleanliness was top notch.

The only thing that wasnt great was the hairdryer as it wasnt very high powered but this didnt dampen our experience.

Location and overall ambience of the hotel. I did not avail breakfast, but I am sure it must be great.

The staff did not guide me properly about direction/ location earlier when I asked prior to travelling as to how close the hotel was to the train station. The reception desk should have been clearer in terms of directions. I had to pay 10 Euros for what could have been a 1-minute walk. It was only AFTER I'd reached the hotel that the chap at the reception showed me how close the train station was. My suggestion to the staff is to communicate to the guests clearly on email that this property is right ACROSS THE TRAIN STATION EXIT AND BEHIND GRAND HOTEL.

LOCATION was right across the street from the Old City and very close to the underground/trams/buses and also the main train station. Room was sufficient. Breakfast was pretty good, very filling and plenty of options. Hotel had a new smell to it, must have done some recent renovations/painting/updates.

Shower was kind of small, but I got over it. A lot of the reviews I read seemed to complain about the lack of friendliness of the staff. Obviously these people have never met Germans before, that is just how we are, blunt and to the point. All my questions and requests were fulfilled and that is all I care about, the staff doesn't need to be smiling from ear to ear or jumping up and down with glee when you are asking them something.

*Location is PERFECT; 4min walk outside of Nuremberg main train station (Hbf) and 3 minutes walk from entrance to Old Town near Tower (Konigstor) gate and walk along Konigstrasse (perfect start point for Rick Steve's self guided tour). Also 2min walk to Tram station. *Quiet even though you are along main road. *Breakfast is good. I'd recommend it. *Elevators are spacious and moderately fast. *Lobby has maps, and water and beer provisions. *Most of the staff very friendly and fortunate for me could speak English.

*Very minimal/scarce provisions in room, from towels to pillows to electric outlets. *The room space is also very minimal. *The bathroom is SMALL SPACE. NOTE: if you have a large body habitus, this shower will be very low on your comfort scale. The shower stall is very, very small and the space needed to open door takes up half the bathroom. Putting a bathroom mat down may cause you to appreciate the design of other bathrooms in your life. *Quality of sheets did not agree with me; was very hot.

The room is rather small, but fine. The room was very clean. Good location, just 3 mins by foot to Old City (Altstadt). The reception team is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good.

There is around 10 cm gap between the end of bathroom door and the floor. This means that if you go to the bathroom to sarisfy your biological needs in the toilet, then your partner will hear everything. It is terrible. I don't know why the hotel is allowing this gap in the construction of the room, but it is clear for me that it is not customer friendly.

Great location if you want to hope on a team, underground or local train…not to mention it’s an easy walk to the Christmas Market. Rooms are clean and minimalist.

The shower is one of the tiniest I have ever seen and been in. The front staff member who checked me in was rude, it seems she had a really bad day.

The room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Also, the staff was really sweet and helpful, and I loved that. I also liked that you could get a good cup of coffee in the lobby, even if you didn't have the breakfast option. Important if you can't function without it. Also, the location was brilliant. Super close to the city center and the main station, with access to loads of public transport. Would definitely stay here again.

My room faced the back of the hotel, and the street below got quite loud sometimes at night, but that wasn't the hotel's fault, nor do I think it's an important issue. Would definitely stay here again, overall.

The hotel is close to the train station and the city centre is just across behind the city wall. There's a large common area with many seats and tables on the ground floor. Staff reacted quickly after we complained about a leaking pipe under the wash basin in the toilet.

The bed is too close to the door. The wardrobe is quite small. There isn't much space to put things next to the wash basin in the bathroom.

The location is superb, only a few hundred yards from train, tube and bus. The breakfast was excellent, a highlight being the waffle maker! It was a good idea to have a small self service bar where one could sit and relax.

I would have liked bigger towels and more pillows without having to ask for them.
