We were with a group on an excursion in Stuttgart and the A&O was a very nice place to stay! Spacious rooms and nice facilities in the rooms like storage and bathrooms. Close to the centre and the train station (only 2 tram stops or 20 minute walk away). We booked very short in advance but still got a good price and enough beds were available. The bar is a nice addition when you want to get a drink after walking around all day. We forgot an item in one of the rooms and they were nice enough to send it to us, very kind!

We have stayed in other A&O hostels before and the kitchen facilities are always a bit lacking. Only about 4 plates, a few knives and some other utensils but not equipped for actual cooking. Too bad because the breakfast at A&O is too expensive and there is a store around the corner so it would have been nice to have proper (self brought) breakfast there.

The room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay, including free Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable. The common areas were well-kept and had a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for meeting fellow travelers or just relaxing. I particularly appreciated the bar and lounge area, which had a great selection of drinks and a cozy vibe. The breakfast offered each morning was diverse and tasty, with a variety of options to suit different dietary preferences. What really stood out for me was the hotel's location. It’s just a short walk from the Stuttgart main station, making it extremely convenient for exploring the city. Public transport options were also readily accessible, and I was able to easily visit local attractions, shops, and restaurants. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at A&O Stuttgart. The hotel offers great value for money, with comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and an excellent location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Stuttgart, whether for a short stay or a longer trip. I’ll certainly be back!

The rooms were well situated and clean. The hotel was well kept and was in a good state of repair. Handy access for the SSB trains and only two stops from the main station. We were there for a beer festival and though there were lots of groups the hotel was quiet overall.

For some reason two of the single beds are set up almost like a double with a joint headboard. This meant one person was jammed up against the wall and had to struggle out which is an odd set up. I can't see this being set up for couples as there was a further set of bunk beds in the room. Would suit a family but an odd idea to have in a hostel. Beds could have done with new mattresses.

spacious and clean rooms. I booked a mixed room, but the friendly woman at the reception asked me if I want to change to female only room. no extra charges. Awesome value for that price. The beds are really comfy and it was quiet- although its really big building. Toilet and shower are included in the dorm but in separate rooms- what is also really good. The community rooms are big and there is even a billiard table. It’s near the main train station and the center of Stuttgart is in walking distance too. Also there is a beautiful park nearby. Highly recommended :)

Good facilities, toilet available in lobby. The room was spacious and had a toilet and bath in separate rooms. There were some basic toiletries inside and a sink each. The staff, Nik was so thoughtful. He saw me with many luggages and directly offered the bunk available in the same floor as reception, which I really appreciate after dragging them, all the way from Nürtingen. The guest kitchen also was well equipped with refrigerator, sink, stove, water boiler and microwave!

The USB socket at the first bed, closest to the toilet in 045, doesn't work, and toilet smelled like piss. The kitchen should be accessible by default with a key card, however currently you need to speak to reception and register your key card for access to it. It was a bit troublesome since we had to take the stairs from the lobby to the guest kitchen and back, multiple times.

The room was clean and comfortable. There were a lot of facilities and the breakfast was nice where you had plenty of choice. The Hostel was also near the big shoppingcenter Milaneo which was a big plus as well. Also for 15eu a day you can park in the Hostel parkingarea. (Self)Checking in was easy and fast. We had a Family room and it was clean, modern with your own bathroom, tv, a bunkbed for the kids and a bed for 2. There were a lot of guests (also a lot with children) of various ages and origins.

The person at the bar did not know how to prepare the cocktails that they offer. This person might have been new though.

Close to city center; public transportation next door; strong beds with descent matras; bathroom in the room; storing food/drinks in fridge was no problem

Staff is not familiar with procedures and way of working: * Booked breakfast at reception on arrival; didn’t receive the necessary QR-code and/or our name/room number was not on the list of the staff * Made reservation for parking; reply form hostel was, that this is available and we just have to ring the bell to enter the parking and at the reception we’ll pay during our check-in; when we rang the bell, the staff member told me to check in fiets; at the check-in the other staff member, who checked us in, told us that we can ring the bell next time :-s

Convenient location, right near to the metro station. Just 2 stops to city centre. Family rooms are very decent, you have everthing you need. Price/performance is excellent. Keep in mind, this is not a chain hotel, or a luxurious hotel. If you need a clean, comfortable and safe place sleep, this is for you. Everyday they clean the room. The hotel has dormitory sections as well, but family rooms are in different sections of the building. The lobby is a bit crowded, it is more like a coffee shop rather than a lobby. It is nice tough.

Sometimes the building entrance can be occupied by smokers. A seperate place for smokers would be great.

A clean and spacious family room with comfortable beds. The staff were helpful. A good breakfast. Table football. We recommend it for families and would stay again

People standing outside the front door talking meant we had to close the window at night when we would have liked to have kept it open to keep cool. We also had to walk past the people in the evening which was a little intimidating as we had our children with us. The location was handy for the train station, only 2 stops away, but there was not much in area e.g. restaurants etc.

Great location, 2 minutes from the metro station. Thanks to the girl at the reception for the quick registration and check-in to the room. The room was not very large, but very comfortable for an overnight stay - comfortable beds, comfortable pillows, clean linen, but the curtains with a stain in room 259 need to be cleaned - this is very noticeable. Breakfast was classic - cheese, cold cuts, vegetables, a pancake machine, a coffee machine - simply excellent - delicious, fresh cocoa, cappuccino, coffee with milk, trusty coffee - super. The girl who looked after the room at breakfast was super. The coffee machine ran out of beans, I went over and told her about it. And this girl did everything in 2 minutes. Thank you for the coziness and comfort.

Please draw the attention of the hostel administration to the hall and reception area. Very dirty sofas for residents to wait and rest on. I understand that the traffic of hostel residents is high, but the hall, sofas, armchairs and the lobby itself must be kept clean - the hall and reception are the face of the entire hotel.
