We booked an Acropolis view room. The view from the tiny balcony was wonderful...but could see nothing from inside the room. Breakfast in the breakfast room was adequate, and although small, we always found a table. Staff (Alexandra) was always welcoming. We were able to walk everywhere...the Plaka, Lykabettus Hill, National Gardens etc. Nearby cheap restaurants...eg Bread Factory, Alexander the Great and the Grill place next to it.

Lots of waiting for the one tiny lift - or walking up spiral stairs. Getting there with bags from the closest Metro was not easy with footpath closed in places. (not the Hotel's fault, I know) Roof top bar and snack restaurant, as advertised on website, were closed. (We WERE given a key to go take a quick look by ourselves.) Public bus stop out front meant always a maze of people to negotiate to get through front door.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, hotel is in a nice central location for getting to many of the main Athens tourist destinations. We were able to walk to many of our destinations, or take very quick taxi rides to get to anything else. Included breakfast was also good, and enjoyed use of the rooftop in the evenings for drinks and views of the city and the Acropolis. Also really liked having a small balcony on our room to get some fresh air.

The bed was quite, quite firm. Bathroom was a smidge small, but not unreasonably so for the overall size of the room. Shower didn't have a curtain or door though, which was fine but felt a little weird.

The proximity to the hop-on hop-off bus was very convenient because we used it daily. There are also a couple of bakeries very near and cafes The front desk person during the day, EFFIE, was very helpful and gave great suggestions and( beautiful). We had the 3 bedroom apartment and it was large enough to accommodate 8 adults. It could use a small sofa tho .

It's on a main street so it's very busy and noisy, but that was expected. It's an older building so the elevator is original and very small, maybe 2 people at a time only. Lighting needs brightening.

The rooms were basic , but very clean , fresh towels and rooms cleaned daily, even a fridge and safe . Breakfast was buffet style , very fresh and plenty of choice. All the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly . Close to all public transport and the stop for the Hop on/off bus around the corner Lots of lovely restaurants close by too All our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Apollo and would recommend. Good value for money

One of our party said their mattress wasn’t very comfortable, but the rest of our party of 8 were happy with theirs.

the staff was always ready to help, be it with any queries or printing out the return boarding pass, and little glitches like the safety box key not working were sorted within half an hour. Roof terrace evening bar had a lovely atmosphere and view across the whole city, and we could even see the Acropolis from our 3rd floor balcony

the breakfast was ok overall, with a nice range of food, but it would have been nice if the boiled eggs had been warm, and the scrambled eggs would have been kept more than lukewarm. The hotel is situated at a main street, so traffic noise is still audible after closing the double doors to the balcony- I could blend it out after a while, but not sure everybody would be ok with this

I had lovely interactions with the staff, the room was good and big enough as I was traveling on my own, the breakfast was also satisfactory. Some of the reviews said the wifi connection was bad but I did not have any issues and could even make video calls. Very easy to travel by metro!

The shower facilities seemed a bit old but it was clean regardless. It is indeed a bit loud due to the big street outside but I was tired enough so the noise did not impact my sleep that much.

The staff was super friendly and very communicative. The size of the room was what I was expecting and the breakfast was basic but satisfying. Also, it's a few steps away from metro station and close by all centric attractions. The price is worth staying here.

The wifi connection was not very stable in the room. Also if you sleep at the top floor you might hear the bar upstairs moving stuff at night.

Staff were always welcoming and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Room very comfy and spotless.

Location is hit and miss. You are only 20-30 minutes walk to fabulous areas for food and drink and the sights. There is a really good bakery for coffee and cakes nearby. But you might pass nearby drug addicts injecting, or hassled by aggressive beggers, as I was. There is also a grim red light area opposite the hotel on the other side of the road. Stick to the big main roads not smaller side streets, and use the nearby metro and bus stop (tram 12 very useful) and it's a good place to stay. I'd stop there again, or the hotel next to it.

We had one of the hotel’s apartments, which had 3 bedrooms and a living area, perfect for our family of 6. It was simple but clean, nice breakfast. Really good location, and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

The only small thing was that because the hotel is on a big street the traffic is quite noisy. This may be a problem for some but after the first night it didn’t really bother us.

Location and staff. The cafeteria lady-sorry I don't remember her name- it was very helpful. She speaks English very well. The girls receptionist it was very helpful, and buy us a tickets for a tour.

The bus stop in front of the hotel...very dangerous!
