It is perfectly located within a very short walking distance of Syntagma metro station There is a metro line from Athens airport to Syntagma metro station, but the best way is to take the cheaper bus shuttle from the airport that stops in the plaza where the Syntagma metro station is (it is about a 60-minute ride). The bus shuttle is a 24-hour service. This neighborhood is a very touristy area with lots of restaurants (Mediterranean, Italian, Korean, Mexican, etc.). The hotel is on a small street. The premisses are stylist and modern. I got a room at the back of the hotel with a really great view of the Acropolis. I could see the Greek flag and the Parthenon. I did not even bother to visit the roof of the hotel, which, they say, also has a nice view. The room has a nice size, and it was cozy and warm in January. The queen bed was comfortable. There is a school (and a small church!) at the back of the hotel. I could hear the children playing during their breaks along the day, but it was not noisy, and at night it was very quiet. There is a small grocery store 500 meters away (it closes on Sundays). There is also a small fridge. The electronic safe was large enough to put my laptop. I went to Athens in January mostly for the Acropolis and the museums. The Acropolis is a 16-minute walk from the hotel (the superb and brand new Acropolis museum is on the way). The very nice Museum of Cycladic Art is an 18-minute walk away. The National Gallery is a 26-minute walk, and the National Archaeological Museum is a 28-minute walk. The Byzantine and Christian Museum is a 20-minute walk. So, I was able to visit all the mentioned places without using public transportation, just walking. The breakfast was quite good with many options including some Greek cheese, Greek spoon sweets, and a good coffee/espresso machine. Before my early check-out they offered me a breakfast box.

I did not find easily accessible sockets close to the bed, so I needed to move a bedside table away from the wall to use the socket behind it for my smartphone/laptop. The shower has a handheld shower set that you can only fix very close to the wall. Since the water pressure was not very strong and I am tall, it was not so easy to wash my hair and face. The reception staff during checkin and short interactions was not unpleasant but rather dry. A bit more welcoming reception would be nice. The walls of the room seem to be paper-thin. I had talkative neighbors, and I could listen to them often.

The location is amazing! really in the heart of Athens.. not far from Syntagma, Acropolis, Monasteraki, right in Plaka... all the good "local" restaurants are at few meters. Plus, for me who values to go to Church it is almost 500 m from the Metropolis of Athens where I went for Liturgy on Sunday.... I mean this is the most perfect spot ever! The staff is beyong helpful and friendly. They really treat us like family... Especially Georgia from the service team. She is friendly, smiling all the time, cares for your well-being... This is for sure my new "home" in Athens. I went there 2 times and I will be going back there everytime I go to Athens.

honestly there is nothing I did not like!

Everything is within walking distance, the Acropolis, the oldest part of the city, the Syntagma square. Pleasant city, hospitable people. Gorgeous view from the rooftop, really best ever food.

A little bit too much crowd on the rooftop. And don't come by car. The hotel doesn't have enough parking places of its own and might not bother to help you find parking place (although it costs them only one phone call). On the contrary, they may send you find one on your own, giving you wrong directions and stacking you in a jam which may last longer from your previous ride from home, unless you react somehow swiftly. And since the hotel is in the center of the city and generally is no other way to come, it might be better to be prepared to drug your luggage in busses, trams etc. (if you are acquainted with the public transport) and from them until the hotel.

Location was wonderful. Building was quite modern with very nice upscale design. Breakfast was loaded with choices. Shower water pressure was great.

I had read about the exceptional staff and upon entering or leaving the establishment (even checking in) I did not find them terribly friendly or quick with an acknowledgement, greeting, welcome or smile as they were always too busy talking to their colleagues. The room was a little small and I do think it's overpriced. Was very excited about rooftop view but the minute you arrived were confronted with "do you have a reservation?" instead of a simple "welcome", giving you time to look around and get a feel for it, or even offering you a menu to look at. Overall I felt that the Central Hotel thought it was an upscale hotel but in the end just couldn't pull it off. I was disappointed. I probably wouldn't stay here again, not worth it.

This hotel was very centrally located on a quiet street. Very walkable area with lots of shops and restaurants. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport upon our arrival which was much appreciated. We had 2 connecting rooms - one with a beautiful view of the Acropolis for me and my husband and one with a view of a wall for our sons. It was nice to have the connecting rooms so we could keep the doors open and have it feel much more spacious. The breakfast had lots of variety with both American and Greek foods. Do not miss having drinks up on the rooftop bar - the view is stunning! Everything was very clean and well maintained and the staff was just lovely.

Lovely to walk into nice clean marble lobby, helpful staff Breakfast room lovely white stone courtyard with olive trees. Breakfast extremely pleasant, multiple choices of fruit, pastries, breads, yoghurts, cheeses and meats, hot foods including spanakopita or cheese pie, bacon and eggs, coffee machine with lattes and cappucinos. Mezzanine floor pleasant bright place to sit and relax. Two streets or 5-10 minute walk from the main transit hub of Syntagma Square. Roof top restaurant with the view to the Acropolis is a beautiful spot for eating, and the wait staff are very good, but the food tastes I had were not ones that I would be proud of had I cooked them, although the presentation was excellent and the experience of eating in such a lovely setting outweighed the disappointing meals. Room I was initially assigned to was very dark and depressing for me, but I asked to move and was given a beautifully bright, happy-feeling room. However electric outlets and hanging space were lacking in the new room as they were in the first room. Reception were able to call a reliable taxi service for several trips I needed (airport, university).

Not enough outlets for easy charging and using of electronic equipment. Outlet only on one side of bed to plug computer in, so if there had been two people it would have been impractical to try to use both computers at the same time. Only one 2ft rail for hanging a towel and one double hook, but no more railings for more towels or wet clothes. No places to hang clothes to air after use.

We are an elderly couple and the location was an easy walk uphill to get to syntagma square, the Benaki museum, the National park of Athens and restaurants. It was too far for us to walk to the Acropolis or any of the ruins but we have seen them before. We enjoyed just relaxing in the park at syntagma square and chatting with people and watching children and families enjoying the day. One of the receptionists was exceptional, Katerina. She was available in the evenings and we used her to plan our visit. She took the time to make recommendations and she took out a map to show us where we wanted to go. One of the gentlemen, I’m sorry I didn’t get his name, was also very helpful in holding our luggage after we checked out of the room, while we waited for our taxi at 4:00 PM.

I found the morning staff wasn’t as anxious to engage with us. I received yes and no answers, unlike Katerina in the evening. You learn quickly who to turn to for help.

The location is excellent for walking around the archeological sites and landmarks. Beautiful view of the acropolis from the roof top restaurant. We walked to the acropolis and the National archeological museum, so pretty much it is a walking distance. Exceptional food for breakfast and dinner at the roof top resto. The staff are very kind and helpful! We got there way too early prior to check in. The hotel is able to keep our luggage for storage while walking around the shopping area in Plaka and while they are preparing our room. We will definitely stay again and I recommend the hotel for any guest especially as a tourist. This is a great location for everything! The hotel price is not bad at all! This is the view from the roof top of the hotel.

There should be a tissue box in the hotel.

Stayed for a few nights late August 2023 with one other person. The hotel is in a very central location and this was exactly what we needed. The hotel has a stylish reception area and the staff there are polite and are happy to assist. The room itself was of a decent size - the hotel acceded to our request of two single beds without issue. The pictures taken give an accurate reflection of what the rooms are like. The amenities in the room are good. Most notably it had a very useful fridge, as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The restaurant at the top of the hotel has a very beautiful view but is somewhat expensive. It’s tough to get a table for that reason so I would recommend booking well in advance. The food was good although we did not think that it was worth what we paid. Breakfast was included with the room and had a decent variety albeit this could be improved. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here to anybody looking to visit Athens.

The top floor restaurant was a disappointment given the price we paid.

The Location of this hotel is perfect. You can walk to all bus stops, and some attractions. This is only 2 blocks from Syntagma Square - where you can get the metro and bus stops to and from the airport. What I like most was that there was a good night life in this area with many restaurants and bars. We extended our stay and also booked this same hotel when returning from the islands. The top floor had the best view of the ACROPOLIS - very nice bar area and very friendly staff. Very good hot breakfast with variety every day - vey enjoyable that they included greek cuisine too, like the cheese pies, greek mushrooms, and sweet pies (cheese and apple) etc.

The bathroom was tight but had everything we need.
