Booked this for my U.S friend. He says : "My first time in Athens could not have been better due in part to the fact that where I stayed in the city of Athena at the Marble House was the perfect location and most wonderful neighborhood to easily experience and “feel” part of the city! Aside from location thought the accommodations were perfect. The room with great air conditioning and lovely aesthetic made me feel comfortable and it was quiet at night and I slept well. Most importantly to me the staff Manos at the front desk as well as the daily cleaning crew were extremely personable and friendly. Not only do I plan on staying at The Marble House again when I return to Athens I do not ever plan on staying anywhere else!"

The accommodation is very good, if we are in Athens again we would definitely go back here, and value for money is outstanding! The hotel itself is located in a very good area, with many attractions within a few minutes by public transport or on foot. There are several bars, restaurants, breakfast bars nearby, it was quite safe and cosy. The staff were amazingly helpful and kind, all our questions were answered satisfactorily and they looked after us and our safety. We met the lady receptionist several times, she was always very nice to us, just like the others. Checking in and out was also easy. Our room was on the 2nd floor, which included a very cute little terrace and a bathroom shared with another room. It was very strange at first, but it wasn't distracting at all, we didn't mind sharing or the terrace made up for it. What is true is that the room is not very spacious for 4 people, and 4 girls took quite a lot of clothes with them, which unfortunately we couldn't put away due to the lack of shelves/packing cupboards. It might be worth thinking of something here. Personally I prefer the blanket tucked into the duvet cover, but it wasn't too troublesome either. There was a hair dryer which we really appreciated. Even though we only stayed 3 nights the room was always cleaned and we were given clean towels.

The only downside is that the walls are really quite thin, noise can filter through from the neighbouring rooms and the stairwell. Maybe it would be worth fitting a door to the upstairs and then the noise from the staircase would be filtered out, I don't think there is anything to be done about the rest as it is a feature of the house, but it is good to be aware of it.

This is a one star hotel but nonetheless, I gave it a 10 for what it is. It was a charming little property, hidden at the end of a quiet neighborhood street. It was a well organized place, spotlessly clean with an easy and friendly check in process. The rooms have all been updated and the bathroom was excellent. We had a small charming interior courtyard that was a pleasant surprise. It's located in a "real" Greek neighborhood. This is not a tourist area but a very short walk to the Plaka and other Acropolis sites and museums. If you just need fast, easy, and affordable, with no frills but lots of charm, this is a real gem. The staff was friendly and super helpful and conscientious. Very impressed!

Our room was just a hair too small, probably better sold as a single than a double, but we weren't in our room very much. I did choose the least expensive room so that's on me. If there are going to be two adults, go a little higher in price to get a bit more elbow room otherwise, it was a good choice.

I loved the location, near a subway stop so you can get to the port or around town, and a pleasant walk to the Acropolis and other sites. The rooms are very nice, albeit a bit small, and the downstairs rooms a little dark. The prices are very fair. Staff was really nice and helpful. Eat at Lolo, but order slowly---the portions are huge. Book a rooftop bar table at any of the restaurants near the Acropolis well in advance; the views are beautiful. Key Tours took us to Delphi and Meteora and did a great job.

We were there in October and no coffee on-site. But there is a coffee vendor a block up, and lots of coffee shops and bakeries nearby. I can't say we suffered.

The property is in the center of Athens, quite close to the Acropolis (one metro station away). The closest metro station on the red line is only a 5 minute walk from the property, and there's plenty of food options nearby (check out the Bread Factory for anything from breakfast to ice creams, sweets of all kinds, breads, beverages, and lunch options). The hotel is located in a cul-de-sac and is very quiet. Staff was very friendly and informative.

The room was quite small: there is barely any space between the bed and the table by the balcony door to squeeze through. A chair would have been appreciated. The guests staying in the rooms next to mine were very loud (shouting and playing loud music with doors open in the middle of the night). This is not the staff's fault, of course, and they did their best to mitigate this. I understand this is a 1-star hotel, but charging extra for use of A/C does not seem fair to me. It's Athens, after all: A/C was indispensable to survive, especially as when I was there there was an exceptional heatwave (up to 43° during the day).

This is a ground floor family apartment next door to a boutique hotel that is a fifteen minute walk away from the Acropolis and Plaka. We loved having a fridge, microwave, and privacy. The housekeeping staff maintains the property extremely well, and it’s on a quiet street, around the corner from a church. There are pedestrian walkways with cafes, bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies nearby for anything you forgot at home. If you want to stay somewhere calm and comfortable a bit away from the crowds with your family this is it. And the air conditioning worked very well on a hot day! Our son loved also seeing the cats who live outside.

We were totally satisfied with our stay. Great value, great option for families in Athens.

The hotel has a good location and is very clean. The room has a big and beautiful balcony which we like it very much. The room is in good size and very clean, beds are comfortable.

Stayed there in late September with a temperature of 34 degrees Celsius. At reception we were asked if we wanted air conditioning and we paid 5 euros for it per night in addition to the room cost. The air conditioner makes much noise when it's working that it keeps you awake. Luckily, there is also a ceiling electric fan that does a good job of cooling the air with lower noises. But this may require thin quilts (only thin sheets are provided).

Travelled from the airport to Marble house by train. Clear instructions given by Marble House & it was an easy journey to take. The room & shower were very clean. The towels and sheets were changed daily. The staff were very friendly, and lent us two umbrellas when we woke up one morning to very heavy rain. It is very centrally situated. We literally were able to walk everywhere. There are not alot of facilities but this is reflected in the price & we were looking for a clean room, centrally located which is exactly what we got. We would recommend and stay here again. My daughtre & I had a lovely time in Athens. Thank you.

Location was good-walking distance to the main attractions and great restaurants. Property itself was a little hard to find initially given its location tucked away at the end of the street. The gentleman at reception was lovely and extremely helpful. Gave us a run down of where to go and where not to go. Showed us where great places to eat where within walking distance. No aircon unless you paid more but there was a ceiling fan that did the job, even in 37 degree heat. Room was on the smaller side but still good value for money. Would definitely stay there again.
