Another year and another fantastic stay and experience in this lovely hotel in the heart of Chania. The hotel is perfectly located and offers outstanding views on the old harbour. The rooms are nicely decorated and you will appreciate the attention to all the details. Dora and the staff are so welcoming and so kind. They were so helpful with advice when necessary. They really contributed again to a beautiful experience, and I am again very grateful to them. If you are ever in Chania, look no further and book the Belmondo Hotel.

Location and view were excellent. the steam room in the shower was a great surprise and much appreciated. Walking distance to all of the old town and an excellent balcony for breakfast in the morning overlooking the old harbour.

If you have your own vehicle the location is a problem as parking is a very big problem. You also have to carry your bags a fair distance from the closest parking which is not ideal and can get you off to a bad start.

Our stay was great! The staff were very hospitable and friendly. Dora and Effie could not have been more helpful. Our room was amazing with a small balcony that overlooked the harbour.it was so relaxing having a drink in the evening and watching the world go by. The room was large and had the best shower. Breakfast was served in your room each morning and was slightly different each day and was all that we needed. Close to attractions, shopping and restaurants.

Needed to close the balcony doors at night as it could be noisy. Also was not given water each day. These are such little things.

The room was spacious and in classic Venetian style with an amazing view of the old harbor and lighthouse from the terrace. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We were late to arrive, well after reception was closed, and yet we were greeted at reception as if nothing was wrong. A fine continental breakfast was included which can enjoyed on the front patio of the hotel or in the room. The hotel is located in the charming city of Chania with its many alleys that include shops and wonderful places to partake in food and beverages. We rented a car and travelled to the many beaches and other areas and visited many traditional tavernas. Traveling TIP: The Hotel is located in Chania where cars are restricted, so you cannot drive up to the hotel. You can park at Talos Square, from there it's a 10-15 minute walk by the harbor's edge or the alleys of the town. Do not be like me when you can't figure how to drive up to the hotel and tell your friend, "There was something about parking in the e-mail they sent." Read the e-mail. Have great stay, We certainly did!

The view from our room and location were just just amazing! All the staff were lovely and so helpful. Our room was gorgeous and spacious. We were only sad we didn't find time to use the hamam which I'm sure would have been excellent too! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Chania old town.

The in room breakfast was nice, and we enjoyed it each morning, but to be given a choice about some of the options would be excellent.

The location is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and the breakfasts lovely.

Beware - we booked a superior suite balcony sea view and hamman and assumed that all the pictures of the room were of the room we were booking . This meant we were expecting two bedrooms (suite) and a roof terrace which felt about right for the price. When we arrived we were given a room with extra bed on the side (for our daughter) and a teeny balcony only really big enough for two chairs (there were three of is). When we raised this we were told that the pics are of all the rooms of this ‘type’. I flagged that this is quite misleading and she agreed and said she would raise it with the manager (again - had been flagged by previous guests). Lovely place but be sure you know what you are getting for your money.

The location is superb and the view from our room was perfect! We looked out at the harbor, the lighthouse, the shores and restaurants and the mosque with the city wall behind it. We loved sitting on our balcony for the sunsets and people watching. Our room was tastefully decorated, large and very clean.

I loved everything about it. I would warn folks though that there are two fights of stairs to get to the rooms.

The central location of the hotel, the hotel building and it's features, the friendliness and hospitality of staff, the varied breakfast, the terrace, the hot tub, the history of Chania and its sunsets.

The view from the hotel room...it was opposite a building. We would have preferred the harbor view, however, it was still good to have a terrace over the city street.

If you ever are in Chania, don't look further and book the Hotel Belmondo. Outstanding location within the heart of the historic town with breathtaking views on the old harbour. The rooms have character and are very comfortable. You will also appreciate the attention to every single detail. To top it up, Dora and the team are so welcoming, friendly, and always there to help. They really contributed to making sure we had an amazing experience, and for that, I am grateful, too. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Hotel Belmondo, and should I come back to Chania, it will be no doubt at Hotel Belmondo.

Location was fantastic. Right in the heart of the Old Town. Our room had a balcony on the town side which was fine, but for a little more you can get a balcony over the sea and waterfront side. Breakfast was outstanding! Beautiful omelettes, freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious fruit and Greek yoghurts, breads, jams and a pot of coffee. Dora (the owner) gives a very warm welcome, interested where you come from, your life and the staff are so helpful and pleasant too. Everyone really friendly. Shower/bathroom was excellent too.

There was nothing, I didn’t like.
