We had a beautiful, large room with our own terrace. The beds are huge and SO comfortable! It was lovely for an evening read! Dina and Maria are amazing, no ask is too big and they make you feel so welcome, including a complimentary drink on arrival and gift when checking out. Definitely a benefit of a boutique hotel, I think your stay just feels more special and tailored. Absolutely loved the pool and gorgeous garden area - perfect for breakfast and also for a read in the shade of the avocado tree in the middle of the day! There's music playing from speakers on the tree throughout the day and it's a perfect volume and the radio station was great - my hubby didn't even bother using his earphones during our stay! The pool is a good size, you can certainly get a few lengths in but it's small enough that it warms in the sun and it was always a lovely temperature when we got in. Fab location, 15 minute, easy walk into Old Town.

Honestly not much at all to say as there really were no negatives about our stay at Epavli. If we had to nitpick, the only thing that surprised us slightly is that towels are changed every day, even when we'd hung them up. As lovely as it is to have fresh towels, I know most hotels are trying to wash a bit less frequently these days so it was a surprise not to see that option. That said, we didn't mention this and I'm sure if we had, Dina and team would've been more than happy to wash them less frequently so maybe just worth asking if it's something you feel strongly about.

Dina was amazing and very sweet and helpful you can tell she loves what she does and that was very refreshing. It was also awesome to find a fellow Canadian in the Island of Crete! :) the other staff members were also very kind. The boutique hotel itself was gorgeous inside and out quiet and very clean! Also the perfect location for driving or walking to any destination in Chania! We would definitely stay again! Thank you again Dina for your hospitality! The welcome drinks were also a sweet surprise! The breakfast included was very personalized and delicious!

The parking available was street parking if you’re not comfortable with parallel parking on a busy street it can be challenging !

Even though we arrived late, check-in was very easy. We stayed for 3 days and were able to park our car very close by each day without any trouble. We filled out a form for breakfast the night before, and in the morning, our breakfast was ready at the time we specified. There were plenty of options, and it was very satisfying. We stayed in a ground floor room, and there was even a rack outside the window where we could dry our beachwear. The management is very thoughtful. We were very pleased with our stay.

In room 105, there was a noise coming from the sink for a while after washing hands. Occasionally, there was also noise coming from upstairs.

Their staff are the best! Dina, Mari and the team took good care of me for 5 nights. I would have totally extended my stay but sadly they were fully book at a time. The room is so spacious, bright and spotlessly clean. Since they only have 11 rooms, the place is always feel peaceful. I love to start my day with breakfast by the pool under the avocado trees. The area is so convenience, just next door to a bio-market, cafes and short walk to beach. I love that they I can easily reach the old town in 20 mins by foot and also 20mins walk to the best sunset in Chalepa. I will definitely come back to Epavli in the future!soon!

Nothing! Maybe I don't like that the place is too popular. I will have to book early enough next time.

I found the hotel on Booking.com and booked it based on location, reviews and price. The location was an easy walk to the Chania old city/port, and there is a market just up the street along with a couple of local restaurants and bars. We got two rooms that overlook the pool and courtyard - both were large and very comfortable. WiFi was good. The staff was wonderful, friendly, outgoing and very eager to please. Breakfast each morning was delicious. All in all a great value that we are recommending to friends and would go back to, again.

Since we were there in early April, the weather had not warmed the pool, and the water was not heated, so dips were quick. Other guests who were more tolerant of the temperature were very happy in the pool for longer periods. Later in the summer I'm sure the pool is wonderful.

The hotel was in the perfect location - about a 10m walk to Chania harbour and close to many restaurants. It was quiet enough that you could sleep with the windows open. Dina, Maria and the rest of the folks that worked there were so lovely and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The breakfast was incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel with such a great breakfast selection. The rooms were beautiful and always cleaned. It was great to have the mini fridge replenished with water bottles each day as well :)

We were in a room with a terrace and it was gorgeous - my only critique would be to include a blackout blind on the terrace door as it got bright quite early. Otherwise our stay was absolutely perfect.

Location was excellent, within walking distance to the town centre & local shops & restaurants. Very clean property with comfortable beds & tasty breakfast.The breakfast was a la carte & the order had to be made the night before. Breakfast was served in the pretty courtyard garden. Only issue was that one morning was particularly windy & this caused our condiments etc to be blown around & foliage from the trees to drop into our food . Overall it was a lovely stay & the hosts were extremely hospitable & attentive,

We were given a room which was next to the font entrance & off the main lobby. This could sometimes be noisy when other guests were entering or leaving as we could hear the noise. Bathroom is lovely , smart modern but quite compact.

1. I didn't get to sample the breakfast because I wasn't at the property when it was served. On my last day, I left at 7.30am but Dina offered to give me some stuff the night before like yoghurt. 2. An iron and ironing board were brought to me immediately upon my request. The iron was amazingly good. 3. A welcome drink (of my choice) was brought to me upon arrival. 4. Staff were very warm and friendly. Ordered a taxi for me. Recommended places to eat. Communicated very thoroughly! Demonstrated the door entry code when I seemed a little anxious. Constantly and genuinely asking me if I needed anything. 5. Towels provided at the pool.

1. No snacks in bar fridge. Just water! 2. Not enough milk for coffee. I bought some fresh milk to keep in my bar fridge for my coffee because the 2 capsules of milk provided were not enough. (I probably could have asked for more) 3. Could not adjust the air conditioner temperature so I was turning it off and on all night 4. Breakfast served too late. I wish the breakfast was served earlier, like at 7.30 or 8 am. because I'm awake from 6am. and having to wait till 8.30am is a long stretch.

My girlfriend had her birthday, and they made everything possible to make it unforgettable. A prosecco and cake in the morning with breakfast. The hosts were very nice, a welcome drink when we arrived and when we asked for a drink (to buy) they offered the drinks on the house. The hotel is walking distance from the port, with parking available in the streets and very good breakfast!

Maybe I would add some variety in breakfast, for those staying long time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Epavli!! Dina was very welcoming and all the staff were so lovely. We were very spoilt with a delicious breakfast every morning with so many choices, freshly made omelettes, fresh fruit, baked goods and more! The most special part that we truly enjoyed was sitting under the avocado tree to have breakfast, a really beautiful experience. Epavli is only about a 15 minute walk from the town which we enjoyed doing every morning before breakfast and later in the evening. Highly recommend staying here!!
